i had a scout that had 3 stars above their head and they were shooting at a closed korlok tyrant weed while i was downed

and someone was calling down resupplies quite far away from the rest of the team

i was talking to them with my mic but they seemed to ignore me

because you never need to increase difficulty to get xp to promote, someone could play haz1 exclusively all the way to legendary and you wouldn't be able to tell until you saw how they played

Probably they're cheating with the glitch that allows you to play haz 5 with no enemies. Gets you xp fast but they who use that can't usually actually play the game.

It's crazy that many downs but you guys still come out with the W... every deep dive I attempt with randoms is mostly me being left alive last every time but once I go down just once that's it it's over no res for me lmao

But that's only EDD in regular DD I Always beat it with no issues

And my team mates usually end up with around like 5-10 downs usually while I just have my 1 and only down after so much struggling to fight hoards as 1 guy

Yeah obviously they know what's happening as the rank is very high I feel I just usually end up putting so much effort in to not die then when I do after resing everyone many times I don't get 1.. it is what it is.. I just completed this week's EDD just now with someone and it was perfect no issue as a Duo happy it went well

I've had dds and edds where I get 15+ resses and the second I go down the rest fall apart. It happens sometimes. More often than not infact. Every so often you'll get a really good dwarf, and you'll remember him. Thats the beauty of the game

duos are also the easiest number of people to play with, since 2p has the same scaling as 1p

things can get pretty manic in 4p since enemies have something like double health and there's likely near double the number of enemies too

No, you dont have to restart but i believe all of your trophies will reset

They don't reset, it's just that PS4 and PS5 trophies are counted separately, so you'll keep the ones you've earned on the PS4 version, but have to start earning them again on the PS5 version.

Like with Hot Wheels Unleashed, of which I played both versions, and got two platinums for one game, because they're counted separately.

I'm not sure if other progress will count though. Using Hot Wheels as an example again, I had all my currency and upgrade materials, and all my cars, but none of my "campaign" mode progress.

it varies by game, some games will autopop every trophy you already earned (these are nice for an instant double plat). drg doesn't do that, trophies don't autopop afaik

but it does keep track of your stats, so stuff like 'do 20 missions of this type', the next time you do another, it'll pop instantly

I'm not sure if you'll get the lower level promotion trophies (get all classes to bronze) if everyone's already gold or something, but I'd hope so

the ones that I'm aware of that don't keep are stuff like carpool and barrels in droppod, you have to do those again

the stat ones should be a good chunk of them though, and the all classes gold one is the biggest grind in general, so don't have to do that again

Hi, I was wondering if playstation save files can be restored across systems

I played on ps4, and when downloading on ps5 it starts me with the same account but from scratch

I went back on the ps4 and it's also from the beginning, so I was wondering if profiles were saved online somewhere or if I have to restart all my progress

As far as I'm aware, save files are only kept online if you have PS Plus and have automatic cloud saves turned on.

But, you should be able to migrate your save from the PS4 version to the PS5 version, because that has been implemented by the devs shortly after the launch on PlayStation. The Pinned Message explaining how to do it seems to have been unpinned, though, so I'm not quite sure how to do that

For all other games I am able to download my cloud save locally, but for this the only save files that show up is the one from when I first launch the game on the new system

There is the Restore Save feature from inside the game. On the Options menu, select Save Menu, then Restore Save. If there are cloud saves available, it will display them and allow you to select one to restore

played drg on my ps4 a few months ago, decided to download it on my ps5 today, could only upload the saved data from way back in January 2022

basically I need to figure out a way to get my most recent saved data across to my ps5 or I have to grind to get about 75% of what I already had back a few months ago

if you still have access to the ps4, load it up then reup the save file so you can dl it on ps5

if you don't have access you're probably sol if the most recent save isn't already in the cloud

assuming you already tried the ingame reload save command or w/e

if you do have access, load up ps4 ver on ps4, upload to cloud, then go to ps5, download ps4 copy, dl ps4 save from cloud, then open ps5 ver and import save from ps4 ver to ps5 ver

I just play on ps4 ver though so I can go both ways (and more importantly use my ds4 back button)

I have a stupid yet annoyingly specific question.
I recently upgraded to a PS5, but knew I needed to transfer my save. I installed deep rock and upon launch it automatically sent me to the tutorial.
I decided to abort the tutorial and go back to the ship to sync my PS4 save.

I restarted the game and everything was fine, but annoyingly I now have the 10 part hoxxes intrkdui assignment.

Does anyone know a way that I can avoid having to trudge through all that shit just to get to the Holiday event stuff

Driller Tips

• Practice with your Drills and Terrain Scanner. Get comfortable with them. You can go anywhere using them. Except for the Scout (with the Grappling Gun), you're often the most able to get to hard-reach-places.

General Tips

• Salutes ("Rock and Stone!") and the Laser Pointer can handle pretty much all of your communication needs. Use them often.
• Work as a team as best as possible. There's a lot of ways to work together.
• Most of your XP and Credits will come from completing objectives and getting out of the mission. Grab veins of Gold, but don't obsess over them; they'll slow you down. The more missions you do, the faster you'll level up and earn credits.
• Feel free to ask questions. The community is pretty great and lots of folks are happy to help.

Courtesy Tips

• Only take one ammo resupply from the Resupply Pod unless someone leaves some left over for you to take a second resupply.
• If you want to control the flow of missions, be the host. If you're not the host, don't press buttons or start events unless it's clear everyone is ready to go (people have all Saluted or pointed with Laser Pointer.

They may need to make sure that automatic cloud saves are turned on in the console settings and/or manually make sure saves are uploaded to the cloud from the console's menu. The PS4 version should have the same Restore Save feature, but it will only find files if they've been uploaded to Sony's cloud, as far as I'm aware that's not done by default

You can move your save from PS4 to PS5.
If you use the PS4 version on a PS5 console, it should just work.
However, if you use the PS5 version, you'll have to use the in-game Restore Save feature (Options menu, select Save Menu, select Restore Save) to bring your save over. This is a one-way move, though. Once you do this, you cannot take your save back to the PS4 version

It is only available for the Steam version.
PS4 (and of course PS5) versions of the early builds simply don't exist, but Steam builds do so it's easy to make the Steam build available again.
The Xbox/Microsoft Store versions from that time would no longer work (those builds had some issues that were only fixed by changing major parts of the code and they were based on older networking system for multiplayer), so those will not be available either

Very often, a dev can't fix a bug they can't reproduce. If you want it fixed, your best bet is to check out #1037308906516521010 and file a report with as much information about the bug and when it happens as possible. The devs have gone above and beyond to fix bugs in the past. I can assure you it's not due to apathy when bugs don't get fixed; it's often due to not being able to observe first-hand the bugs and their causes

The devs are pretty highly responsive when they can be. Opening up a report would allow them to track the issue and communicate with you more easily. They may have a ton of questions and insight into the issue, but if they have no one to speak with who is experiencing it, they're going to have a much harder time identifying and fixing it.
That said, I certainly don't blame anyone for not wanted to deal with all of that, but if the devs can't experience the problem on their hardware and they can't get more information from folks who do experience the problem, it's going to be very hard to find the problem and fix it. That goes for any game

Not refining, escort, sabotage, salvage. Extraction doesn't spawn in low enough numbers and has a timegate. Mining expedition cave structure really isn't conducive. Elimination is technically possible but much harder. Egg hunts are pretty much the only missions type where you can semi-consistently do 4 minute missions

Wow I met a rare piece of trash DRG user: we completed 99.9% of the escort mission. Everyone got in the drop pod. They stood outside the droppod trying to teamkill people. They disconnected everyone. They didn’t get completion despite the droppod being in timer stage and everyone but then was inside

I've prestiged most dwarves and have a handful of deep dives done, but I haven't played many pubs. I've heard good things about the community but I guess I'm a bit hesitant

Thas actually why I refrain from deep dives, if I don't get disconnected, on of my friends probably will.

Nothing kills the momentum of a game night like somebody getting dropped at the beginning of a deep dive.

"Alright boys forget this, we're doing normal missions."

At least then you can attempt a reconnect.

you can attempt a reconnect on DDs too

just it's limited to only people who started on the DD in the first place, latejoiners can't go in, and the team can't have moved on past the stage you were in when dc'd

also it can be flakier than usual reconnects, but you can very much try to do so. I've had the most access trying from their profile rather than from ingame

doesn't help if the host dcs, but that's the same for normal runs too

They don't respond and even on cave leach cluster just watch out for them and your temates since you know it's on stage 2

Depends on difficulty, but they have 20% armor to their normal spots so on HZ1 you'd need to do (63 * 1.2) damage in one shot, or 63 if you have armor piercing (I think)

Their hp is 99 on HZ3 which is a more reasonable number to think about

I think Gunner's revolver with the neurotoxin upgrade (row 5?) will kill a grunt if you let it tick in one shot. That's what I run since I have no OCs for that weapon.

I’m not sure what the pickaxe symbol you mean looks like. But I had a pickaxe symbol next to my name in a round oval (white/red color) and it was from a brew buff we drank just before the deep dive started

As long as we’re both talking about in-game. It’s probably a brew buff. There are many different brew buffs you can obtain. The barkeep only offers one specific type at a time. For instance you might get a Pots of Gold offered, but you actually wanted Tunnel Rat. No way to change the selection. Just offered at random. When you drink the buff it’ll show a unique icon for it.

It’s a 1 time symbol. The brew buff only lasts for that mission. With the exception of deep dives, where the buff lasts the entire deep dive. Insane value by the way!

I had a pots of gold buff in the deep dive. Easily mined over 1000 as the scout at the end of the deep dive. Was such a fun experience

A normal deep dive is like hazard 2.5, haz 3, haz 3.5. For the individual components. It’s not that bad.

There are normal deep dives (or just called “deep dives”) and then there are elite deep dives. The elites are very difficult. Can go beyond haz 5 difficulty.

I’m not that good at the game. So I don’t do elite deep dives. But the deep dives are really fun. Challenging enough for me and has nice rewards, also the long experience is an awesome change of pace. I’d recommend doing the deep dives. It’s only once a week. It’s the same dungeon layout and you can’t get the rewards twice, so no incentives to doing it many times in the same week.

I don’t think there is a progress bar for it. It’s just tallied in game and eventually you’ll have the achievement pop up whenever you complete it.
