That only makes the Nitra chunks brighter, not the Nitra on the walls. You need the approved version to make Nitra on the walls brighter. That was deemed as being too much of an advantage and moved to approved compared to the other minerals.

Did some dwarf science today. Glitching inside the drop pod on Salvage Operation will not allow you to leave everyone behind before the mission is completed. It is possible someone was holding back an Iron Will which would prevent it from leaving but I'm pretty sure it just won't leave before the doors open.
