Driller needed to resupply three times to drill the pipes

It went down far enough that you could see the render cutoff fog if you looked down from the refinery towards where the third pumpjack was

Out of all things, I actually swapped out Dark Morkite for Rocky Mountain

Right, but after some calculations of the morkite veins, I figured out that I didn't really need dark morkite. With Rocky Mountain it allowed me to shortcut the map and break through dirt faster.

My route is pretty identical to yours. I deposit 60 morkite right away, then collect another 60 on my way to the black box. Once I get it started I have bosco mine the 3 veins while i'm in the black box. There's enough to have the full 225.

Gunner's speed comes from being able to ignore/kill enemies more efficiently than other classes, not the traversal tool

So its pretty viable to speedrun with them. Just requires a different approach

There's no real way for gunner to compete with the scout driller running meta, sur you can do missions fast as gunner but not faster than those 2 classes

Gunners single target dps can also be minmaxed out by scout in most cases

A lot of scouts kit can disable or eliminate individual targets/clusters of targets with relative ease

I can definitely see gunner shredding it during a elim or sabo oriented deep dive

AxisKronos has a very good video on how to use and find downtime in missions

Some things need to be done asap, others have a set start/+end time and are out of your control

Your goal will be to progress mission objectives first, and do tasks that aren’t time sensitive inbetween moments where you aren’t pressured to do something

I'm not sure what kind of course you're looking for, but the main thing that will help you is knowledge and experience

Speedrunning is easy once you know the game well enough

Multitasking, objective priority, enemy manipulation

You might be able to pick up on some of that by watching skilled players play, but there aren't (m)any commentary videos, so you may have trouble understanding some stuff

It's just something you get a feel for after playing for a while

a large part of non seeded runs is luck, not trying to take away from ppls runs, but imo truest running skill from everyone playing the same map

the other part of non seeded runs is recognising you have a great setup and executing

so props to them that have records for their categories too

For sure about the luck, though I would argue that fixed seeds are a different skill set as you know exactly the path you're going to take every time, where blind/unseeded you have to optimize routing on the fly. Purely for execution skill I agree though.

TBH we've never really done too much speedrunning, out side of that one night to try it out, and 4/5 we set at the time had pretty low bars, I just wanted to set some times for better runners to beat, I knew that Benni would take them all in time. Though the one we took from Axis was pretty neat. After that night though we haven't tried again, and just do a blind EDD run when we have time and the boys want to humor me.

Our jam is optimizing EXP/Minute instead of just purely time so truely my favorite run was this one. It just feels more engaging to us since you're not running the same map over and over and still has the element of discovery and path optimization every run.

Not really deep into all speedrunning tech but one big tip for me was to ignore smaller waves and just keep speeding the objectives

as long as it's not hindering u of getting the obj. as fast as u can just outmove it

Depends on what ur lookin for, cryo cannon kinda weird but goo gun and flamer serve similar purposes. flamer tends to have more dps but goo gun has slow and more utility, they both manage crowds quite well. Goo can struggle with flying enemies tho, flamer and cryo both annihilate mactera.

Flamer and goo are better for newer players in my opinion cryo needs more finesse and specific builds/teamwork to be good

Cryo doesn’t have good dot or good trails but you can freeze things that are in melee range and often defend yourself much better in close quarters, good for maps with very little space to kite in like black box or uplink as bug spawns are sometimes jank

this is correct, no resources besides nitra/gold can be obtained on deep dives unless there's a huuli hoarder

deep dives also cannot spawn in special encounters that give xp (like korloks, machine events, prospectors); huuli hoarders are the exception since you don't get bonus xp for minerals collected on deep dives
