In this post-u34 video, it took 7, 5, 3, 4, 3 frames (from when it starts heating to firing) respectively for the five mactera shots. And when I took some random TCF shot in my old video, it was 5 frames.
only big downside is you have to wait for your heat to completely cool off otherwise you overheat if you attempt to do a second consecutive shot so you cant do continous shots anymore. but i actually found a trick to mitigate this

well the video was more about a convo I had earlier that the heat pipe nerfs to timing a charged shot werent as bad as people make it out to be.
also most mactera (especially when a lot of them spawn at once like in mactera plague) will tend to cluster together. so you can potentially kill so many mactera in one shot. this particular spawn is obviously not a great exmaple of that

Finished this Kursite Infection with literally 0 seconds left (incidentally it was the first time I ever saw Kursite Mactera, that was one of the issues plus they were falling off a nearby ledge).
I honestly didn't think we'd get the last piece in time, I wonder if there's a tiny grace period. Maybe it just stays at 0 seconds for 1 full second before you lose.
Same mission victory screen, we went on to find a Cargo Crate, error cube and 1-2 Jadiz while looking for the last 2 ebonuts.
I've never seen this much XP outside a double XP or Deep Dive... admittedly I don't play above haz 3 much.

Had a greenbeard engineer dig himself a small bunker underneath the fuel rods, thought to myself "this couldn't hurt" so I said nothing besides calling it his tomb.
Then when the six proxy bombs he placed at the entrance(which was right next to the fuel rods) killed the scout and severely injured both me and the gunner, things fell apart.
Overall a 10/10 mission failure, I ain't even mad.
