@hallow shard It is passive golden detonator which roams mission. Whenever you approach it too close it will gain aggro. It randomly spawns in missions, no mutators needed. Whenever you kill it, every piece of terrain cought in the explosion will be removed, borders of explosions - transformed to gold. So, it is better to kill it in tight corridors so that sphere of gold created completely

Guys, I think it was a bug, but somehow Steeve just drew aggro from a dreadnought, and completely confused it by sitting on top of its head, making it unable to hit Steeve. We could easily defeat it because it was just trashing around trying to hit Steeve.

this is only just a handfull of the minigun.
i managed this small bug by switching back and forth from loadouts.
using loadout B for the mesh i wanted to use, then switching to A to select form the mesh menu, then choosing the defult skin for that mesh, then switching back to B, and selecting the skin menu, the defult skin of the mesh i choose from loadout A somehow carried over.

so... this video was made (mostly for my own friends) to prove to my DRG crewmates in the video that the strange noises I was hearing while playing some post-Update 28 missions wasn't imaginary... none of them report to have ever heard these during the mission. The thing is, I still can't tell what on earth actually makes the sounds you hear in-game, and what is the cause of it. has anyone else hear this sound effect play randomly during missions? (also, do be warned the ending is random; my crewmates are memelords, and I had to indulge)

I believe those have a distinctive different sound when they fall however.

and certainly, if the sound of them falling was as loud as they occur in the video, then they'd have to have been very nearby, but there were not any that fell. it also doesn't really explain why 2 particular instances were enormously deep and resonating, louder than the others.

this was also not the only biome I had heard these sounds in. I had also heard these sounds randomly pop in while in Fungus Bogs, and Dense Biozone, which both do not have stalactites in their biome makeup

it doesn't seem to be directly tied to them... my best spitball theory, which I try to sputter in the video, is that the sounds are a tell-tale of likeness of a Bulk Detonator spawning, with the resonating SFX clip occurring when it appears. but even that theory doesn't hold very well

you're right, it does sound like that sound did play there, or something similar (and I hadn't caught that one) it's such an oddity though. how loud it ends up being, and how random it is otherwise, or how close together some of the sounds end up being.

Maybe not from Berserker, but that's how my friend found out the sound, but it could be from every successful power attack swing. I've asked the devs a while ago about and no response. They love to confuse us and not give us a lot of information, to figure out ourselves πŸ˜„ And we should stop talking in #drg-gallery at this point.
