In rivals missions nemesis can start after spawn. But in non-rivals they aren't supposed to spawn after. Unless it spawned at start and was just really far away when you wandered nearby.

Though if you said it was bugged and spawned when it wasn't supposed to I wouldn't be shocked.

I wanna ask how much cores/threads your CPU has. I’ve crashed when leaving in the drop pod from people spamming flares and IFGs, my guess is too many particle effects. But that doesn’t make any sense because elden ring or star citizen has more particle effects and renders them at far greater distances

Somewhere in the last year, deep dives started defaulting to selecting as solo. This has caused a few party disbands. And honestly reduced the number of people hosting who just aren't paying attention. Please devs, at least revert it to friends only, or don't default it to anything at all and makes us pick. It'd be a much appreciated quality of life thing.

Don't know if it was just an accident in another update, or if it was intentional (why??), but it's definitely inconvenient.

This has been happening alot since S2, at least once per mission if not more and always when client, I don't host alot but it didn't happen the few times I did. Terrain scanner automatically closes when trying to open, sometimes twice in a row leaving me standing still for longer than needed. Used to be able to open it mid air and start zooming out early but now it takes the pickaxe out instead as seen in one of the clips. Not sure if related because sometimes it closes instantly even if I'm not holding LT but there's also been issues with fast mining(q mining) and reload cancel since S2 both have been very inconsistent when client. Fast mining mostly don't work because hits don't register if you don't hold for the full duration of the swing and reload cancel is often not worth because the swing animation takes longer to recover from than letting the gun reload normally. Don't mind audio delay Xbox is buggin

It's possible that DRG did not conflict with something like wemod before, but whatever changed with Season 2 is causing it to conflict now. That's not that unusual. After all, I'm assuming wemod is a memory editor (I'm not terribly familiar, I had to look it up), and as you've found, there seems to be an issue with allocated memory becoming corrupted. Wemod and the crashing issue are not as unrelated as you're making them out to be

I can't say exactly how wemod works, but it is possible that just having it installed, even if you are not actively using it, could potentially cause issues. If it's always monitoring memory -- even when you're not using it -- it is possible it is conflicting with something. Okay, speaking of strange guys in the Xbox community, (and if you're here I love you) . But has anyone ever had Bardin join their games (would be Haz 5,usually scout)? Good player, nothing wrong, high level, but while it's hard to describe playing with them always felt weird if that makes sense. My wife and I would always joke, "Is it Bardin?" whenever we saw someone loading in. Haven't seen them in a while so a little worried, Haz 5 community is so small that if someone is able regular you see them in your games quite as bit.

Yeah I can attest that Greenbeards aren't really paying attention to Hazard or server name. I honestly just looked for the shiny assignment diamond when I was green.

Personally, I think Haz 4 should be unchecked on the search filter by default. If someone checks it intentionally wanting to find it then it stays on, or if they successfully launch complete a Haz 4 it auto checks to show. You could even have an pop up telling them to enable it or just enable it from a pop up after a certain level.

That way people who want to do 4 aren't assignment locked, but Greenbeards aren't accidentally joining and getting murdered. I remember thinking, "Why did the game all a sudden get so hard" a few times.

There are so many symbols like Haz, length, and complexity it's a little confusing to someone just starting.

I mean, that would probably be nice in a majority of cases, but there's plenty of times on Haz 4+ when I have to remind one of my crew (who is already close to full or full of everything but one type of ammo) to just grab a stick for health since everyone else has already topped up and we have plenty of Nitra. Granted, they're often not 100% full in those cases, but I'm not sure limiting it is the solution. Arbitrary restriction without toggle-able settings would not be the way to go. If anything, it would need to be like the "Prevent late join duplication" setting

For example: it is entirely possible that you pick up ammo and get back to 100% ammo and grenades, and then go down before you can use any of it. The rest of the team also goes down. You're the only one with Iron Will, and the others are too far away to revive before Iron Will runs out. You are close to the Resupply and it has one stick left. It's the only source of health available, as there's no Red Sugar, and you aren't using Vampire. Your only chance to save the run is using Iron Will and taking ammo, but you're full of ammo and the Resupply doesn't allow you to use it...
You could have been the hero of the hour, (almost) everything would have allowed it, but some silly, arbitrary restriction that is only there to stop players who don't know better, or griefers, shuts down your EDD on the third stage. It would feel terrible

Player rank is only a measure of playtime. It has zero correlation to skill. Someone could play DRG for 2000 hours and suck at it. At the same time a veteran of the FPS genre could pick it up and play haz 5 without difficulty. Don’t be “that guy” and try to gate keep difficulty.

someone who is level 18 does not have as many overclocks as someone who is level 100, its very simple. without overclocks on hazard 5, youll get obliterated as part of a team. if you arent prepared enough then you are a detriment to your team and bring the entire team down with you. not being prepared or knowing what you're signing up for is an incredibly selfish playstyle. im not a gatekeeper, i just dont tolerate selfish players.

Overclocks are hardly necessary for Haz 5. They're a relatively new feature, even. However, Perks and even Weapon and Equipment Modifications can make a significant difference in anyone's survivability on higher difficulties.
That said, I'm sure there are people who could pick up this game fresh, and, with a good team and good communication, still manage to do better than some folks who have been playing for a while. Player Level does not reflect skill, it only reflects how long a person has been playing.
People should be encouraged to play at a Hazard Level that is comfortable for them, but should also be encouraged to consider others when joining a team. But also, you don't know how hard Haz 5 is until you've joined it; sometimes you have to learn the hard way...

It can be tough because until you try it out a mission type or a Hazard Level (sometimes a few times) you don't really know what you've gotten yourself into. Communication helps, but I totally understand why people would not want to engage in comms with random folks on the internet. That said, I think this community is generally quite good compared to plenty of other gaming communities

I get the frustration. Sabatage is pretty up there with difficulty so even if you're used to carrying Greenbeards it's just an extra layer of difficult. Not much you can do when they die in the wide open Battlefield while the caretaker is phase bombing everything.

Personally, in usually playing with my wife which usually between the two of us we can carry the day. Maybe finding one other regular and having room for half the squad as randoms might be a good compromise.

Either that, or only do I if you've been running missions with the current team and they seem capable. Or choosing between private 5 or going Haz 4 on IS. I know that last part isn't ideal but a lot of times I just lower Haz on anything rivals related because I hate it and want to get through it as fast as possible.

The helmet will need an explanation so here’s a short one:

• You’ll occasionally find a lost helmet during a mission
• Holding the use button will add a purple dot on your terrain scanner
•Go to it and press the use button on the lost gear to get a random part.

Keyboard: Tapping enter key fast will close and open the virtual keyboard putting it a permanent closed state, disables chat until game restart.
Controller: Pressing B while virtual keyboard is active closes the virtual keyboard, but not the chatbox, preventing game input. Pressing X reopens the keyboard, Then B or send will close both keyboard and chatbox. It seems like this one can only be reproduced if you have touched the keyboard

Crashes were awful. I’d meet randoms and form an attachment to them, like forming an attachment to an NPC you’d find.

Whenever you crash, the miners you were with actually stay in the mines. They don't return to their own space rigs unless the mission ends in success or failure.

Eventually, the eyes in the cave walls start to come for them. They increase in size and number and paralyze the lost crew. The rivals send patrols to find these dwarves, and the scream you hear from the nemesis? Well, let's just say it may not be entirely robot in nature after all.

Always make sure to leave a mission the proper way if possible.

my FPS stutters from normally 180 FPS down to about 140 FPS so i capped all my games to 120 FPS, devs need to do some optimizations to DRG so the micro stutters dont happen even happens on steam for both DX12 and DX11

There's really no need. It's just copying, pasting, and renaming a file. I know theres plenty of folks who are not as familiar or comfortable with computers, but this is a very easy process to learn and do.
Anything the devs make, they'd have to support, which mean extra time spent updating and testing every time they put out a patch.
It's honestly in the devs' best interest to simply try to make sure save files remain compatible and leave it as an unofficial feature

There's currently no virtual keyboard support for windows that works with a controller, so the chat does not work with a controller when playing on pc.
The chat addition is purely a console Quality of life feature, and will most likely not be supported on pc any time soon because of the previously mentioned reason.

If it's just invites not working you can try hosting a public game and setting a server password to it so that only your friend can join. Pretty sure if you host friends only you show up on server list for your friends too

From my understanding, if it were something easy to do it'd be done. But technically given the resources of the development team, it'd actually be a pretty massive undertaking. And the code probably wasn't built to handle that so it'd require a lot of reworking things from the ground up. I understand the frustration whenever a host quits but unfortunately it's not likely something we'll see unless it's done the road and the game becomes massive and the devs feel like they've finished content for the most part.
