I won't say how, but it is definitely possible to use Steam version based mods on the Windows Store version. It just requires a lot more effort than the Steam version.

@stuck cloud Are you playing the Steam version on PC, because if so, yes, purchases are separate since they come from two different stores (one being Steam, and the other being Microsoft).

If you are playing the version from the Microsoft Store, I would hope that your DLC purchases would be available to download as the DRG is a "Play Anywhere" title, but I guess I haven't come across that situation before. Like I said, I'd hope that the DLC is available to download without purchase, but the Play Anywhere feature might only be applicable to the game and not to the DLC. If you haven't already, I would check the DRG page on the Microsoft Store app to see if you can install the DLC you've purchased on console

I can't say with any certainty that the DLCs should be available, but I would expect it. You could try uninstalling DRG, and then go to the Microsoft Store page for the Ultimate Edition and install from there. That might do it?

I'd say patience more than dedication. The weapon and tool upgrades and the perks come in fairly steadily, but once you've promoted a dwarf and are able to earn overclocks, that just takes patience since you can only get a few overclocks each week

U33 was Q1, U34 is Q2, U35 is listed as Q3. That's as far as the roadmap goes.

When you get a dwarf up to Level 25 you are offered a Promotion Assignment. Upon successful completion of all of the missions in the Promotion Assignment, you can visit the Memorial Hall on the upper level of the Space Rig (the hub/lobby) to find the Promotion Terminal.

Promotions cost some amount of credits and minerals, with each successive promotion costing more credits and minerals than the previous.

The first promotion for each dwarf will unlock an extra perk slot for that dwarf, as well as granting access to:

Deep Dives and Weekly Core Assignments (these reset on Thursday and allow you to earn Blank Cores for Machine Event rewards, Weapon Overclock Cores, and Cosmetic Cores)
Machine Events (specifically you can only activate a Machine Event if your dwarf is promoted, but any dwarf can take part in the event)
The ability to fill an available Blank Core with a Weapon Overclock Core or Cosmetic Core as reward from beating a Machine Event
(Weapon Overclock Cores and Cosmetic Cores must be made at the forge, and they require credits and minerals to create)

You can only start or join a Deep Dive with a dwarf you have promoted at least once

#

For example: if you have only promoted your Gunner and your Driller, you can then start or join a Deep Dive as either Gunner or Driller but you cannot go into a Deep Dive as Scout or Engineer

Xbox Party Chat usually works pretty well, but if you prefer Discord, you can go into the #welcome-and-rules channel and look for the Role Assignments section. There you can select the Xbox Role, and that will allow you access to the dedicated Xbox/Windows 10 voice chat pods in this server

for xboxone players with controllers play around with the 3 aim sensitivity settings. lower them down to get more accurate for scout and gunner and so can hit weak spots easier. make them higher for driller because accuracy with cryo or flame doesnt matter and then can turn faster

Hello, I've got a question... With Sea of Thieves, I purchased it on my Xbox, then logged onto my acount on my PC and installed it, and switched accounts and could play the game on any account that didn't own it so long as I had it installed on the PC.

Could this work for DRG? I want to avoid paying twice to play with a family mrmber if possible

Not sure how much help I can be, but does it start at all? Does it crash? Can you run other Microsoft Store games? Windows and drivers all updated? Firewall and or anti-virus causing issues? Graphics card capable of DirectX 12?

There's lots of things that could be on your end, and not a lot of folks coming here with the problem of DRG not running, so it makes me guess that the issue is something specific to your setup

I’ve noticed most can be helped quickly with DRG problems if computer specs are known to the people here.

The only problem with DRG I have is when I open the game it takes about 3-5 seconds before I get a black screen and then logos appear.

Agreed - I blame Microsoft for making game pass such a compelling value then making it... just inconvenient enough to play the catalog that it's annoying, but not so inconvenient that I'm willing to just go buy everything on steam

all i can make from it is that an unknown file/code in line 855 is causing some problems

i think i might have found a solution but im not sure, In case anyone is encountering a similar issue, here is the solution: You have to use the "IsValidLowLevel()" node to check the object before dereferencing it. IsValid, ensure, != nullptr not catching it, they are returning it as valid object for some reason. IsValidLowLevel is able to catch this invalid object.

One thing my friends figured out is that any source of fire damage (such as flamethrower or incendiary grenades) reduces cold status on teammates and can be used to prevent players from freezing in the first place

Is there anyway to tell the difference in your inventory which overclocks were from weekly missions and deep dives and the ones from events in regular missions ? Having hit myself too many times in the head with a pickaxe I didnt recognize the value of forging the bad overclocks from the events which for every five made in the forge would give me a bonus overclock. Im afraid to chance it and lose the blank core making an undesirable overclock I received from a weekly mission. Thx

I don't think so, but it shouldn't matter. Once you have acquired an overclock, forged or not, you can't get a duplicate.

Uninstall Game/App
1.1 Sign out of Xbox App
Go to https://account.live.com/consent/Manage Find the app and click the Edit button. On the next page click "Remove These Permissions".
Re-Install The app, in my case Hill Climb 2
(From memory here) Launch the app, it should ask if you grant permission for the app to access your Xbox data. Deny access or Just close the Sign in box.
Important. Play a few games - I played until Bronze II before proceeding to next step. (Not sure if Game Name is important, I did use a new name)
Go to the Game/app settings and connect Xbox. Now it should ask you if you want to use Cloud Data or Local Data. Choose Local Data.
Done

Playing on pc... my game doesn’t save my video settings from fxaa to the experimental AA. I had to change it back every time. Then when I change it back the game is switching from my main screen to my secondary screen and almost anytime after I press escape. Anyone else have this issue?

You need to go into Folder Options -- fast way is to click start and search "folder options" (without the quotes) -- and on the View tab, you need to enable "Show hidden files, folders, and drives". While there, also uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types" box. Then click apply. You should be good to go

I've recently started playing this game through game pass on my Xbox and PC, the game runs fine on Xbox but when I play it on PC it freezes a lot mainly when I go to the menu or if I make any kind of adjustments, however if I tap my Windows key to force the game into window mode it seems to work fine is there any fix for this? I've uninstalled the game twice and it's still just freezes or lags really bad either at the beginning of the game and/ or in the menu.

Totally understandable. It hasn't come up as far as I've seen. When joining friends, you still need to occasionally have everyone relaunch the game to guarantee everyone can get in together, but once you're in you should be good and DRG seems to be more stable than ever

Load times should improve on an SSD, and I see no reason why it wouldn't for DRG. Plus, DRG takes up very little space, so I see no reason why you shouldn't give it a try on the SSD. I would. I can say, as PC user with the game on an SSD, I load faster than my friend on his One X

Putting DRG on my Series S's SSD from my old external HDD for my XB 1 did indeed make a big difference in loading times, so I would recommend doing so as it takes up comparatively little space

#

Of course, your loading times are still only as good as the slowest HDD in your party, so YMMV based on who you play with

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but is anyone having issues with matchmaking on the Game Pass (PC) version? It even freezes sometimes when I try to host a public game. Every time I try to join any game whatsoever it just keeps loading endlessly and I go nowhere. I tried restarting the game, the device, uninstall and reinstall. Nothing.

When joining someone, I simply see the spinner and loading popup and it keeps on going. I can hit Esc and it usually just throws me back to the ship and I can try again. But I can't join any game no matter what. If I am hosting it is a toss up. I could host and play (did so once) alone. No one joins me (could be unlucky). But other times the game completely just freezes and I have to kill the process.

Now that I am saying this, I remember back in the day when the game first appeared on the Game Pass that this happened and it was a server capacity issue.

That's what I get for playing by my own rules... it's not actually transparent. I'd have to check again because I can't remember, but I think Discord did not support transparency, so I just color-matched the background and sometimes it just doesn't work

With controller rebinding are we going to be able to map say hoverboots on hold jump instead of hold call Molly or dash on something else than running? If you cared about remapping you could already rebind your controls from the controller settings on the Xbox I ve had mine to different controls forever

I found a lot of bugs in both games from mass effect of controller not registering to red dead online duplicating pelts using the games mechanics and I’m about bugged out of finding bugs in games I just wanna enjoy the games I have but me and my stupid autistic brain finds them no matter and doing stupid things in games doesn’t help either lol

Sounds like it means more time and work needs to go into the modding support, which could easily mean that completion of some work on Update 35 will also get pushed back, affecting all versions. A "Steam versus not-Steam" mentality doesn't really get benefit anyone, it's just a matter of what is feasible for GSG on each platform. All versions have the same official content, and there's no reason to believe that'll change

Sure, but literally nothing has changed for us in any way shape or form either way you look at it, except for the fact that, if more time and work must be put into an Update 34.5, it could easily take longer for everyone to get Update 35

Treating a delay to any uodate like it's a problem for just one version is ignoring how linked all versions are

That said, I'm sure some work on Update 35 is possible in tandem with an Update 34.5, and creating an Update 34.5 could have very little effect on the work towards Update 35

Just out of curiosity im having an issue with the xbox pc app for windows 10 version of deep rock galactic, i am attempting to apply perk points...but every time i enter the menu i get instantly sent back to statistics menu and it sounds like something/ someone is constantly clicking the statistics menu forcing me back there with no choice...this also happens when im trying to choose a miner, it constantly is rotating through them at lightning fast speeds... very strange and kinda frustrating... can anyone help by chance?

Kinda sounds like you have some other input device constantly sending some kind of input that the game is registering. I'd check any controllers, flight sticks, etc. that are currently connected, if you have anything like that, and even check your keyboard for a stuck key, and make sure you don't have any macros or auto-clickers active.

Can't say for certain it's something like that, but it certainly sounds like an unintended input is coming from somewhere

The M1K was basically buffed, some of the damage mods were halved and transferred to the main weapon, and the focus speed got increased. Hipfire got a major buff. There's no notable change in breakpoints.

Yea so over all it is better and I get that but also it is now a worse sniper compared to a hip fire build (which is still worse then the G2). I just want an actual reason to use the SCC but the "buffs" to that were laughable and everything else reduced the reason tonuse focus shots.

I dont know much about this game or your platform but my game wrecked after the update because DX12 was on in the graphic settings. I had to spend an hour and a half impatiently making one mouse move and that waiting for my cursor to move and eventually turn it off.

Because V-Sync will cap your framerate lower than the limiter. But with V-Sync off, as you had it before, if you were noticing significant tearing, that means you were not able to run at a constant 120 frames. So to eliminate tearing you would have to use V-Sync.

This is why you may see a lot of newer monitors advertising refresh rates above 60hz, so you can fully enjoy more frames per second (if your hardware can run fast enough) since the monitor can now draw more frames per second. But new monitors are infinitely more expensive than turning on V-Sync, so V-Sync is a pretty good compromise

Well, with V-Sync off you can always play at the max frames per second your PC can produce, but the result is often that noticeable screen tearing.

So, yes, if you want to actually see each frame that your PC can produce you need a monitor than can refresh itself as fast or faster than the frames per second your PC is sending.

And nowadays Variable Refresh Rate is a feature on newer monitors that will actively adjust your monitor's refresh rate to match the frames per second it is receiving, which results in the game running as fast as possible and the monitor drawing every frame it gets without tearing

If you're familiar with console games, screen tearing is the reason so many games are limited to 60fps or even 30fps, because most consumer televisions have a 60hz refresh rate

There was an event which allowed everyone to get a new cosmetic armor set regardless of their current Player Rank, but it's not gone. If you don't already have it, it becomes available to earn from an Assignment that unlocks at Player Rank 100. If you're already over 100, you're good to go

Hi, I have DRG from Xbox Gamepass. I have Windows 10 and Intel HD 4000 Graphics and when I turn this game on it is basically a slideshow so I am not able to change settings in the game. Also after doing research that video card onboard doesn’t support directx 12 which is required to play all Microsoft games from their store

I have not seen any official release date on it. I may have missed that, but usually there's not a hard date announce ahead of time; it's just out whenever the devs have it ready to go and it passes Microsoft certification.

As for ready to go, that's usually after the Steam version gets some hotfixes to tackle any issues that show up after release over there. The devs tend to wait until the major issues are taken care of, because the Microsoft certification process significantly slows down releasing a bunch of hotfixes if they try to do it for issues as they're found.

Once the game has been submitted to Microsoft for certification, it has often become available to download within 4 - 6 hours (provided it passes certification without issue). There is no guarantee that it will be that quick, and if it doesn't pass then it has to be worked on and resubmitted

@twin rose only thing I could think of is make sure iphelper in windows services

this should help with connecting, as i tried disabling it and couldn't connect and re enabling it showed me that with this option enabled it helped me

make sure its set to automatic and also windows is up to date

Depends on when GSG hits go live on update and when Microsoft pushes it out to everyone. Sometimes computer players get it first or Xbox. If it releases today and you don’t get it try to join someone who has it and then you should get the update but only if it releases today

And unless they give a specific date, which is rare, it's always to be assumed it will be out when it's ready. The 1 - 2 weeks is an estimate, but historically it has often been about that long after the Steam release.

Once any major issues that come up from the Steam release are hotfixed, then we'll get the update. And with this update affecting balancing, there may need to be more hotfixes as the balance gets dialed in based on feedback
