You know the zuks, twin smgs for the scoot? They only have half the ammo they say they do because each smg shoots one bullet per trigger press. It's the same for the minigun.I don't think it's possible to have odd ammo on either weapon, but someone needs to test that.

Anyone struggling to stream on the Win10 version with OBS? I have both Steam and Win10/Xbox versions and I stream the Steam version at ULTRA settings and get a solid 90-120fps with 0.1% dropped frames in OBS stats. Using the same settings in the Win10 version now creates 10-20% dropped frames and I have to crank the settings down to MEDIUM to get back to a streaming framerate that is viable.
My guess is having to use Display Capture for Win10 version vs. Game Capture for Steam version is part (if not most) of the problem

Might have to restart your PC for it to properly sign in. It has been a while since I experienced that so I do not recall what I did to fix it. I know there is some issues with starting the game up in a certain window type as well, which can sort of be fixed with F11.

I can't seem to join my friends game in progress. Just getting the "joining" spinning circle forever. Then after pressing cancel, I just get a black screen. Happened on two separate days now. Both of us on Xbox One

@cyan forge Your best bet for joining friends is when everyone has just started the game and everyone is in the space rig. I find that if enough time has passed since a friend started playing, they will be unjoinable until they exit the game and restart. At that point it's also best if you restart at the same time. This method is not ideal, but works well in my experience. However, some folks report that nothing seems to work for them. If that's the case all you can really do is wait for the issue to be fixed. The devs are working on it, but it involves completely rebuilding the multiplayer framework so it will take some time before it is in a better state

OOOOOF. Just had a Driller join a Haz 3 salvage. He obviously just learned about bunkering, but didn't know about Bulks...
So anyway, he drilled our fuel pod deep into the ground, and we did as best as we could to survive when the bulk arrived. Didn't work out.
I guess it's probably more accurate he just didn't know how Bulks could affect that.

@heady quest Basically, "bunkering" is the practice of drilling a tunnel into a wall or the ground and making sure all but one path in is sealed. It used to be a common way to defend during swarms or to finish defense objectives in salvage missions.
When Bulk Detonators and Oppressors were introduced they mostly ended that.
Since they can dig and have strong attacks ideal for spreading players out or downing them instantly, they can pretty much ruin the whole bunker method in seconds.

So there's an mod for the engineer's platform gun that repels bugs. You can then use the platforms to try to funnel bugs to some degree, but if you make a full barrier, or if the route around the platforms is too long, the bugs will just cross the platforms at the shortest point

It's valid and it works, but you need to give them a way to go or they'll just go however they want. So leaving the sides open usually reduces their ability to come at you from directly above and behind you
And digging back into a wall reduces the angles the any ranged enemy can attack you from, usually forcing those enemies to move into view before firing at you

@hallow relic Yes! This is a very very frequent bug for me. It happens when I play on Xbox one X and my wife plays on normal Xbox. Apparently they are working on a fix, but not expected to come out for another month or so. It's a very annoying bug. I wish it would get fixed sooner.

Still can't help feeling like Xbox is getting sidelined on these issues. Honestly, this bug happens 60% of the time I play. It's a forced fail if it happens on the deep dive round 3. It's nice to see all these new features coming out, but I would think they would fix this first. I'm sure they have different teams though, which is why it's going to take so long.

It’s mostly epic game engines fault along with Microsoft. Microsoft developed something called UWP and epic was being a jerk and not supporting it so Microsoft had to develop a forked version with UWP support and both companies stopped supporting it and now Microsoft is trying to merge UWP with win32 format

The game is on the hosts computer. If the connection between you and that person is long or either one of you have a bad connection, you get lag and suck.

I had constant issues with connectivity on my PC until I reenabled ipv6 and removed/reinstalled the Teredo adapter

PSA: Some players on the Windows 10 version of the game regrettably experience fairly frequent random loss of connection in multiplayer games.
If you are a victim to this, we recommend playing the game in Windowed screen mode or refraining from alt-tabbing out of the game while we work on a permanent fix. We agree it isn't optimal, but it is the best known solution we can offer in the meantime.

Solution 1. Go into the ESC menu, Options, and click on restore save. This will typically have several backups of your save file.

and re-run the xbox live test. If you have a second computer in the house, it's useful to try the xbox live test there as well, just to confirm if it's your router/provider causing the issue

Though there have been some times when losing the 4th player made things easier because they were less skilled than the rest of the group
I prefer to do normal deep dives solo, but EDD gets really tedious when you don't have the damage output of a bigger party. And dying once, it's really hard to get back on your feet to not go down again immediately

I think it's less than 2. As far as I can tell, if you fail/abandon, you keep half the resources you accrued.
So since there's only ever 1 cube in a given mission (to my understanding), if you abort/fail a mission in which you got a cube, you don't got a cube.
And that's assuming the cubes are classified as resources, and not just bonus bank like nuggets, bittergems, and tyrant shards.

I frequently use it to order red rock when that's not available at the bar for EDDs or shield disrupt modifiers
It's really convenient for when you wanna do an EDD but the bar has backbreaker lol

Does anybody else use M&K on console and if so, does it require your actual controller to be connected while doing so.
Idk if it's just my console settings that are messing with it or something but when my controller disconnects it doesn't recognize I have a M&K connected
Although, if I start the game without my controller connected in the first place it detects the M&K and doesn't require a connected controller at all times

My game is randomly getting stuck for about 3 seconds and then it catches up FPS is on average between 60-80 and it also does that when someone joins game also
When it gets stuck randomly it drops FPS down to about 32 FPS then jumps up to 70 FPS
I never noticed it until hotfix 2 came out

@slow owl unfortunately nothing you can do to fix it, developers are reworking framework of game to fix a lot of bugs from texture bug like that to multiplayer issues, only way to fix that is buy a computer and play on it until it’s fixed on Xbox

@weary rivet u can disable mic in windows settings privacy for DRG and use party chat on windows version. The windows version does not have push to talk
Hopefully while developers are reworking framework they can add push to talk option and incoming voice chat volume option

@obtuse fiber thats odd because i definitely have to hold down z for in game party chat while others i play with do not. I have tried numerous times and unless I am holding down z nobody can hear me
@obtuse fiber - we also have found that while using a party we get double voices but hitting z once seems to toggle off your in-game mic. It is really odd and we can't seem to figure it out 100%. A small annoyance though. Amazing game.

Some players are reporting that their progress for killing 'X number of Detonators/Dreadnaughts' are being reset. I managed to get both before the recent hotfix, but I can't confirm if they're being affected like some of the achievements.

@ornate gulch I found out that the game in app settings for it might have mic permission set to off. Voice chat does work in game.

Go into your game bar settings and check your push to talk settings, though I believe this only affects party chat

Hi, I've been trying to play tonight with 3 friends, but I keep getting the message "multiplayer session ended" every time I try to join any of their games and they can't join my game either. I'm playing on PC, as is one of my friends and the other 2 are on xbox. I tried re-doing the tutorial, as I read that this sometimes doesn't work, but still no joy. Any idea what could be causing this?

I don't see how it would be an error with Teredo, I play with the same people on various other games with no issue, it just seems to be a problem on DRG

teredo manages ipv4 and ipv6 addresses i reset my teredo to default and i cant join any DRG games then i used that website and i was able to join all games from my pc
short version is click setting then click gaming then xbox networking and test it out
then click fix it if it finds a problem then restart computer
The problem lies with Teredo, a network adapter protocol that helps facilitate connections such as the ones used when a NAT configuration is present.
If this protocol is disabled or hindered either manually or by software, it can have these detrimental effects on the system.

DRG needs Teredo because it's a peer based multiplayer (someone correct me if I'm wrong). A game like Sea of Thieves uses a central server.

u r correct @heady quest teredo helps with transition with devices using ipv6 to communicate with ipv4 devices and DRG uses P2P aka peer 2 peer no servers at all

I can tell you how you can take your Steam save and put it on W10 version though.
Either way you'll be able to find your W10 save and keep backups of it henceforth.
