Also, one likely issue with joining is that the hosts that you see have the connection issue that is pretty much solved by the pins, but they haven't done any of that as it is pretty much a friends only method.

Yeah Master test your Xbox Live service on your PC and see if it saya youre blocked in anyway. Morq is having that issue however it only affects this game. Its kinda hard to tell if either the game needs to be patched for his to work or if he needs to do something on his end

Also when create a mission do you see at the top left of your screen 3 hexagons that say "Seat Available" or no

I personally recommend the Steam version. A lot less bugs, proper save backups, multiplayer works without hassle, better performance.

Xbox one - Wondering if anyone else has had this happen. Played a few missions with my son last night. Both signed off. I went back on about 15 mins later and his game was saved to my profile. I’ll take that as a “Yes” to my question if it was game share or not. My best advice after having some excruciatingly painful game share mishaps is to avoid doing it with certain games, judging by your scenario, DRG doesn’t seem stable for game share.

Unfortunately, There isn’t a fix to this as far as I know.

Yeah, the Steam version is by far your best bet for minimal issues, especially for matchmaking.

The Windows Store and Xbox versions have a lot of issues regarding it and the devs are working towards getting it fixed somehow but it'll take a few months.

The only solution that we know of is in the pins, as well as doing the fix for "teredo does not qualify".

Other things to check: Win 10 firewall needs to be turned on, and you need to use IPv4, not IPv6.

The devs are looking into the connection issues, and the hotfix that came out yesterday had some fixes in it already, but it'll take some time for significant changes to be implemented. It's possible the joining and matchmaking systems will need to be rebuilt, and then significantly tested, before things get much better

One thing to try is both of you exiting out of the game completely, and then restart the game within a few minutes of each other. Then, one invites and the other joins on that invite when you are both fully loaded into the space rig

Works most of the time the first time. That being said, since the hotfix I've been able to just click join game and it works, which is new and exciting

It's not that they can't fix it, it's that fixing it will take some time. The most recent patch had some improvements specific to the Windows Store and Xbox versions, specifically to the server browser, which should help that issue. Furthermore, they are working on the connection issues, and have said it will take no small amount of time, because they may be forced to rewrite the connection code from scratch, and then test the heck out of it. That mentioned a timeframe of 1 to 2 months at a minimum

I've always thought that gold was a bit too abundant in the caves. So much so that I pass it up cause theres so much of it occasionally

An interesting idea would be to increase the credits gained from gold and make the gold veins much more rare

anybody get a lot of connection issues between xbox and the windows version of the game? my friend and i constantly try to play but I always have "connection lost" messages. Sometimes 5 minutes into the playthrough, sometimes 40 minutes in. We know its not actually an internet thing because we're able to talk to each other over discord just fine every time I lose connection. (Im on xbox, hes on the windows version, im the only side that gets these issues)

only reason why Microsoft build has all these problems is because Microsoft and epic games stopped supporting a plugin in the game engine and devs are in the process of reworking some net framework but they said it will take 1-2 months, so please be calm and drink a Red Rock Blaster

@balmy bane Real solution? Check the pinned messages. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid nothing will at this time. It works for some folks, but it doesn't seem to for everyone. But you'll see also in the pins the notes from the devs as to why it's happening, what they're doing to fix it, and how long they expect it to take

@leaden steppe You can you use Windows Game Bar (press Windows Key + G) or use the Xbox Companion App (which is being replaced by the Game Bar) or in-game you can press the Invite Friends button (I think it's C by default) and do it from the menu that pops up

I really like the game so far and I'm having a great time playing it, by why is it $30 and fully released when multiplayer, which is a big part of the appeal, isn't going to work for another 1-2 months?

It works on Steam, I believe without issues, and the version we have is the same version as Steam (just with platform specific bugs). So in that way it is fully released. Obviously the connection issues are a big problem, but it doesn't affect everyone. I play cross-play with friends, and the game has been doing better for me than it has in previous months. That doesn't help everyone, of course, but in my experience it does behave like a 1.0 fully released game. Furthermore, since the connection issues don't happen for everyone, it may be harder to find just how bad the situation is until the game gets (more widely) released. This happens with games all the time, but it never feels good when it happens
