hey so ive been having this problem with DRG for a while and i dont know how to fix it and need some help. When ever I try to load tha game up on PC Microsoft store it crashes on start up followed by "the image below" I have updated my drivers, i've tested the integrity of the files and have uninstalled an reinstalled the game and nothing has fixed this problem if anybody can help just @ me

it depends, there are different configurations of Hz settings, and the TV, which can impact framerate. that is also why we added additional graphics settings as those can help fix framerate issues, but is it not really possible for us to say specifically what the best settings for you is

honestly the series s console is a joke because specs are bad and now a days most people have 4K TVs and about half the people dont know about changing screen resolution in xbox settings and people dont wanna play games in 1080p on a 4K tv

It's still bugged for me and never plays in game. Any time it's supposed to play in game, no music plays at all with the exception of swarm tracks. I was hoping it'd get fixed from the recent hotfix but it didn't.

I think it might be a console specific issue because my friend who plays with me on MS Store on PC claims he hears it in game, but I get no music when it plays and I'm on console. I know the music in game is the same for everyone which is why I think it's a platform specific issue if he hears it but I can't.

Last year around Fall/winter the stutters were so bad for months I had to stop playing. It was right after they released a performance optimization, ironically.

I feel like this season it's been much, much better. I'm not saying it's perfect but for a while it was basically unplayable for a lot of series s users.

Absolutely not true. We added it since that was the issues we where able to reproduce and got a solution for. Since then, it has not been possible to get consistent info or ways for us to reproduce the issues mentioned. So we are still waiting on getting that info before we can do more.

That also means that "performance is still bad on series s" doesnt give ud any new information to work with and we know that the vast majority do not have those issues, so there is something that causes it for some people

We appreciate getting more info, and especially when it can help us solve some of these more specific issues

Except that is doesn't run poorly on all units of one platform, as evidenced by the devs being unable to reproduce the issues on their hardware. If they could reproduce the issues, they would have a much better idea of how to fix it.
You can't test if a problem is fixed if the problem isn't happening for you; at best you can put out a "fix" you hope will work, and then wait to see if it does. Unfortunately, a process like that takes a whole lot longer and never guarantees any positive results

Go take a look at any forum for games running UE4. You'll notice a common theme amongst a small portion of their community. Shit performance and stuttering. No idea what causes the shit performance. The stuttering on the other hand is shaders being compiled. Not an issue, at least on windows, on games predating UE4.

Your xbox is just a locked down computer running a modified windows 10. It's got the same performance limitations as every other computer running windows 10.

honestly before trying to figure out a problem that seems hard to fix, first please fix on xbox build and windows build options for saving because when changing options like show advanced network stats they dont save for next time you open DRG and other options like resolution for manuel mode.

even on steam network stats kinda save for steam changing it to detailed and restarting game have it on screen when opening the game back up but in options it shows none but on windows/xbox build dont show stats after restarting game and options say none

Journey Of The Prospector is still bugged and completely mute in game. Man, I really want that to get fixed, any time the new song in game plays, it's mute, but swarm music still works. Every patch I get a little excited knowing I might be able to hear the new song in game finally, maybe next one then.

Not exactly. The achievements will unlock when the triggering event happens and the conditions are met.

Any achievements that are progress-based will unlock as soon as they are completed or the check for completion gets triggered. For example, the completing 100 solo missions achievement: if you have over 100 solo missions already completed and then transfer your save file, the achievement will unlock the moment the condition is checked -- in this case the moment you complete one more solo mission. All progress based achievements should work this way, so things like promotions achievements, etc.

Any achievements that are not progress-based, however, will need to be completed again, so that the check for those achievements happens. There is no data to check in the save files for these kinds of achievement, since they aren't accumulated progress like numbers of solo missions. This means achievements like kicking all the barrels into the drop pod, or the barrel hoop game, or car pool, will need to be completed again for them to unlock

Done. I've reported on settings that doesn't save ever since DRG came to Game Pass. Like 3-4 times in different channels. Mouse Smoothing setting doesn't save either. Im curious why this, sounding as a 5 minute fix, seems to be impossible to squash. I honestly stopped reporting XB bugs and clunkiness (like text chat...never seen a text chat in any game throw tantrums and make you wish you never had pressed enter, and I'm old enough to have played Zork :) ) due to the feeling that other than the regular patch, there's no eyes on console versions...which is common practice sadly... I'll try to support any further findings so they throw us a morsel of attention from time to time :)

Do expired submissions in the bug report portal get looked at still? It had 3 people (including myself) all contribute, and I uploaded a video showing it happening. (asking generally just replying to help give context here)

Is there any way to reopen? It's just it's a niche issue that's literally a daily frustration for xbox users who rely on it. It'd be a bummer to go through all the work of recording and documenting it only for it to just auto close. If you no longer have access to the Game Pass version, I believe what's come up in the past is that you will no longer have access to the save file locally, and the cloud save is only accessible from within the game itself. The way Microsoft games work is not how we expect most games to work, unfortunately.
So yes, I think you'll need to have access to the Microsoft version, either through Game Pass or by purchasing it, in order to access the save file to manually copy it to the Steam version

DLC is tied to the account. You only have access to it when using the account it was purchased for. So, you won't be able to select any of the DLC items when playing on the account you've transferred your save to, unless you also buy the DLC on that account.
In the past, if you had DLC items already selected before moving your save, they might remain on selected when loading the save on the new platform, but there has never been any guarantee that will happen, and it doesn't always happen

That could be part of the problem. Nvidia graphics cards use the GeForce Experience app to update the driver, or you can download directly from Nvidia's website. I'm sure there is something similar for AMD

Like every event, there's the assignment which gets you the unique hat(s) and the free minerals and credits. And there's an assignment for getting the previous hats if you've missed those. Other than that, the space rig is decorated in a fun way, and in every mission you can find a lost collectable that gives you double performance pass points for the mission if you find it and deposit it

Assignments are the key thing, but keep an eye out for the collectable animal-shaped pool float lost in the caves. They show up on the terrain scanner after you've gotten somewhat close to them (the dwarf who gets close first will say a voice line about the terrain scanner updating)

Deep Rock is normally quite punctual when the cache loads but otherwise the game kinda poops itself trying to generate cave terrain. I've lost a lot of high hazard missions because of lag and honestly the Xbox program troubleshooting options are as clear as mud

My specific issues, I like to call, "The Vaporwave Zone", where the game nearly crashes and the Xbox audio assaults your ears in multiple dimensions. This happens when bugs spawn sometimes. Other times it's occuring on game startup and cave loading.

I have been considering the options for DRG streaming and I have concluded that if I do it will suck

  • I don't have access to performance and internet upgrades so I worry I won't do the game's beauty justice
  • I am mentally ill so I can't speak on camera (I hate the sound of my own voice)
  • The resulting stream will be poor quality with little interaction between myself and the audience

On the other hand

  • I have PTSD and recording good memories will help me remember them when I need it most
  • I also have short-term memory problems and it is extremely hard for me to recall events of the day or the day before. It is super fuzzy and most of the "bad" events are remembered instead of the good.
  • I want to share good memories with others and the other players I encounter deserve to have good missions too. I want to make a difference, I want Hoxxes to be a cherished world for all of Deep Rock's employees.

TL:DR: I would like help deciding on streaming Deep Rock from my shitty ass Xbox

The game is crunchy and it reacts spectacularly in different situations, especially in the initial download sequence and update downloads. If there's any outstanding issues, maybe go do something else and come back later? Devs might have it patched

It could be because the Xbox/Windows version is on a different patch than the Steam version. That seems to be the usual culprit when this happens. The Steam version has had two patches since the summer event started.
Being able to move the save data is an unofficial feature, so, while the devs don't discourage it, it's also not guaranteed to always work

Pretty much just have to wait, yeah. It should work again as soon as they are aligned, but there's no telling when that will be. If you know you're going to want to bounce between versions on a regular basis, it's not a bad idea to keep the non-primary version updated with a current save on a somewhat regular basis.
I move a save to Steam every now and again, just so I can play the way I want on Steam when I have friends on over there. I don't move back and forth though, because it's more hassle than it's worth to me for a few missions of gain šŸ™‚

No, you need MS Store to play W/ xbox.

Steam hasn't different cave Gen that consol can't support so you won't see them together. It'd also take advantage loooot of work and I think pretty much require building the game from there ground up to support cross play, so likely never true cross play.

update on error code, when i reset windows i kept files and apps and microsoft doesnt have a feature to detect games installed from store so i tried again after update released and it found the game and updated it and it works now

Session desync doesn't usually happen right away, but it can happen pretty quickly on occasion. No idea what causes it.

I like Resupplier for the extra health, and I like Born Ready more than I should. I've also had Iron Will on forever. Iron Will is situational so it doesn't get used a lot and mostly winds up taking up an active slot, but I'd miss it if I couldn't clutch victory from the jaws of defeat, haha

Content-wise, they're the same game, but overall they are a little different. Even just at a glance, they can look a little different: Windows/Xbox is required to use DirectX 12, and I believe Steam defaults to DirectX 11.

Functionally, Steam does have a slightly more complex cave generation than the console versions. Last-gen consoles could not support the same cave gen as Steam. And the Miner's Unions feature is absent on consoles, although that's hardly a thing to have or not have

Not a bug or anything but fair warning: postponing a Corruptor encounter for extended periods of time (especially on Haz4-Haz5) will make your Xbox very angry. That mf does not stop spewing Rockpox everywhere once it spawns and the additional entities result in extra lag that slowly gets worse over time. I personally believe it is unavoidable for the devs, for this to eventually happen. This new bug's lagging effect is at least partially unintentional, so let's think of it as a Time Limit Modifier for Particularly Long Games

It's a simple question, but I'm afraid it's not a simple answer. The Xbox version is available on both the Microsoft Store on PC, and of course on Xbox consoles. In fact, it's Xbox Play Anywhere, so you can buy on console and play on PC (via the Microsoft Store). These two versions can play together, because they are both part of the Xbox platform using Xbox Accounts.

PlayStation and Steam, however, are completely separate platforms, and there is no cross-platform play.

Is there gonna be an update just for the song fix? I stopped playing over a month ago, figured it would take few days after bringing it up here but no. At this point I just refuse to play until its added. That's ontop of all the stuttering issues on SerieS many people have brought up in the last year and are back to being ignored

Last I heard the devs asked for clips and monitor specs right before leaving on 2 weeks vacation so I thought i'm not gonna send them now or they ll just get buried. And they closed the case when they got back because they hadnt received any clips during that time.

Me n my bud have been experiencing the same things since the update too, iā€™ve a huge compilation of clips of my game randomly freezing at times. Often when people join and some other cases. Is it just not talked about? I would have assumes a bug such as a game FREEZING CONSISTENTLY during specific things would get fixed pretty fast
