Try rebooting your PC/console. It helps.
If you and friends can't join each other, have everyone fully exit and restart the game, and always wait until you're fully loaded into the Space Rig before trying to invite or join

Why would you guess that? Any time my friend and I open our party we get a full crew after a few minutes at most, mission after mission. Server browser usually has a bunch of missions running.
People on console do not seem to use Discord as much (probably because it only relatively recently became available on consoles), but that has nothing to do with whether or not people are playing the game

Unless you've got friends on xbox, buying it on the microsoft store is a mistake.

If you've been playing on Xbox up until this point, you don't need to buy the Microsoft Store version because the Xbox/Microsoft Store version is Play Anywhere

You can simply log into the Xbox App with your Xbox account, and install it from there (or from the Microsoft Store)

Oh, well, since you have Game Pass you just download it from the Xbox App. If you wish to purchase it, you can, but you don't need to. Your progress will transfer automatically, but if it doesn't you can use the in-game Restore Save feature to sync your progress

If you don't have folks to join on Xbox/Microsoft, the Steam version is a better version of the game. It features a slightly more advanced cave generation that the consoles (and Microsoft Store version, because it's essentially the same as the Xbox version) cannot handle, and the Steam version is the only version with modding support. Other aspects you've mentioned already also help to make Steam a more recommended version

Yes, you do. You'll need to get your progress from the Xbox cloud by having the Microsoft version installed. Then you'll need to copy that save file from the Microsoft save location to the Steam version save location and change the name to be identical to the Steam save file name and extension (this will mean removing the Steam save file from the folder, as you cannot have two files with the same name in the same folder)

I have a problem with my game. I played the game a couple years back on gamepass, got quite high in level, but stopped playing due to not having the time. But I ended up buying some of the skin pack because I want to support this game. However, I recently got back into the game (on gamepass) and ran into a problem. My account seems to have been split in two. All the progress I made on the game has been tied to one account, while all my purchases seem to be tied to another. I only ever played this game on PC and on the same profile to my knowledge, so I'm not sure how this happened. If anyone else has run into this and knows a fix, I would really appreciate the help. Also is there anyway to tag or speak directly to a developer about this if need be?

The devs do check these messages when they can. I would say, though, that this sounds like more of a thing to work out with Microsoft/Xbox, since I don't believe the devs have much control over accounts. Pretty much all account stuff is handled by Xbox, as far as I'm aware

Oh, have you tried recovering your save files using the in-game Restore Save feature? Because if you've only relied on the auto-sync with the cloud, sometimes it isn't the most responsive, and using the Restore Save feature can force your save file to download

Yes I have tried that. I was able to contact some people at Xbox and they sent me to their refund team. So hopefully they can either refund the items or give me some sort of credit to just re buy the skins on my normal account.

Howdy yall, I have DRG on the xbox app on my PC, and for whatever reason I can't join any game but solos. I can't invite any of my friends or join another game. I don't know what happened or what to do but the game is almost unplayable now

Make sure your PC system time is accurate. In Windows Settings, go to "Time & language", then "Date & time". Make sure "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both on, as this will help keep your system clock set correctly

Next easy fix:
You can try to log out of your account and then reboot. That can sometimes help.
In the Xbox App, log out, then reboot the PC. When you restart, launch DRG and it should ask you to log in. Then give it a try.

If that doesn't work:
You can try clicking the Start button and search for "xbox networking" (without the quotes, of course), and you can try the "Fix it" button if that's available. Sometimes this can fix things.

Lastly:
Open Windows Settings again, Go to "Apps", search for "Gaming Services", select it and click Advanced Options. You can try the Repair and/or Reset options there

Anyone with the series x console, is discord not working for you guys? Anytime I try connecting to a discord chat it’s loads but tells me I’ve been disconnected.

I dunno what the problem is exactly but whenever I have trouble with Discord on Xbox, the first thing I check is to make sure the console is connected to the Xbox App. Sometimes the app gets updated and forgets your console. The other times I get disconnected is after transferring to console, I open the channel up on my phone and it disconnects me from the call because it thinks I’m now using my phone instead. After you transfer, I suggest getting away from the call by looking in another channel so you don’t accidentally confuse the app.

What to do if the game crashes without errors in missions, reinstalled drivers, reinstalled the game, it can crash 10 times a day.

There's not really any reports in here of crashing, at least not any at all recently, so it is more likely there is some issue with your system.
Turn off any overclocks you have set up, if any, as those can easily be causing the instability you're experiencing.
If it's not overclock related, it could be something with your Windows installation or it could be hardware-related. I'd suggest try playing some other games or running some stress tests to see if you can narrow down the instability. I'd also run a RAM check, as faulty RAM can easily work fine until you place it under a lot of load

If you're interested in modding, the Steam version has full support for it. I would recommend checking that out. You can even copy your save data from the Xbox/Microsoft Store/Game Pass version to the Steam version

Can anyone shed a light on that? Is there any fixes he could try or that version is indeed busted?

Because the Steam version is significantly different than the console versions in several ways, and because DRG does not use its own account system or servers, so there is no way for accounts on different platforms to interact with each other.
The Steam version would need to be downgraded to work with the console versions, and the devs would have to set up servers and change how networking works to accomplish cross-platform play

i saw a youtube video that was demoing a processor that closely matches Z1 extreme and it was playing modern warfare 2 with about 40-60 FPS

of course RDNA 3 is AMD top of the line GPUs that are in desktop cards and now onboard so with AMD onboard and desktops dont differ as much compared to intel onboard and intel ARC

I can’t gain any levels, my active assignment isn’t going up any higher even when completing the mission, my weekly missions say Assignment Unavailable- usually the issue is due to: no internet connection or your firewall is blocking the game

I can play with friends in other games & in drg. They get levels but mine doesn’t change. I also cannot see any public games or host any games

I've never seen anything that sounds like this before. It's possible that your save file has somehow been corrupted, but I can't be certain. You can try to load a previous backup save file, and see if that fixes things.

You can find the backup saves by opening the Options screen in-game, then going to the Save Menu, and then selecting Restore Save. This will let you see all of your available cloud backup save files, and you can choose to load one. You might lose a little progress, but it's better than the alternative.

The only other thing that I can think of that can mess stuff up is the system clock not being set correctly. That can cause some issues, but when that's the case usually it prevents you from playing with other people

It's all automatic saves and automatic backups

There's no manual saving, but you can manually load one of the automatic backups if you ever need to

Have them check Windows Settings, Time & language, Date & time.
Make sure that "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both turned on.
Having an inaccurate system time can prevent joining and inviting

Outside of Gamepass, it might get an occasional sale. Haven’t really seen one yet but it probably does.

You do need a Gold subscription to play just like any other game that isn’t free to own.

I play it on the Series X after jumping up from a “day one” Xbox One model and I haven’t really noticed much differences. I would assume it be the same for Series S.

I’m trying to find a solution to an issue I’ve had for a long time now and would appreciate if anyone could help? I play the game on pc through the Xbox launcher and sometimes I cannot matchmake or invite friends and I cannot find a fix this problem I would just get the game on steam but then I couldn’t play with my friends and Xbox. I don’t think it’s a cross play issue because I can’t invite my friends that play on pc either

Your session can and will occasionally become desynced from everyone else. It's very common, and can occur after as little as one mission, or sometimes not at all. This will prevent you from being able to join or invite friends. You can exit and relaunch the game, or often just clicking Disband Team from the Options menu will be enough to reset your session and allow joining and invites

Hey, I need some help with a bug. I can't find DRG on the xbox store. It gave an error code when I tried to launch it: "DRG is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Microsoft Store and try again. Here's the error code, in case you need it: 0x87E10BD0"
I wanted to uninstall and reinstall it, but now it shows it as being Not Available on the store page for it. I haven't played much so I'm okay with deleting my save.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

I can't tell you why that's happened, but I would tryblogging out of your account, fully rebooting your system, and then logging in again. That could potentially fix it

It's not on Xbox. There are two achievements that got added to the game later on, that one and another that I can't think of off the top of my head, haha. Microsoft didn't really have a good way of adding individual achievements to the game after release, so they were unable to be added

I only recently got that one myself. I can't say why it wouldn't work, but I would say give it another try. If you know you have a long, relatively horizontal run to the drop pod, that might be a way to do it. Or get a friend to call Molly while they're far away from you

Could uninstall and reinstall and see if the issue persists. It's a small download so it shouldn't take long to do.

It does not seem to be too common of a problem, which suggests it's something particular to your PC. Make sure Windows and drivers are up-to-date

You could try rolling back Windows to an earlier restore point and see if that fixes things. If it just started, it would imply something has changed to cause it. Could be something in Windows itself. Restore points are not always a great solution, and your mileage may vary. Look into it a bit before doing it

Way ahead of you, I've already mentioned several things that would significantly improve the experience on the steam deck. The reality is it's low priority compared to the general user.

@rotund dagger Plenty of other games add achievements, so i dunno why the DRG fellas cant.

It was explained, at the time, that adding only the two achievements wasn't an option. I think (don't remember exactly) it was something about achievements needing to added in certain bundles of points, at least so many points at a time, and not just tacked on on a whim. So, maybe if they had made the combination of those two easy achievements worth 500/1000 points or something, it would have been possible (but might not have really made sense based on the point values of other achievements). Microsoft may have changed/relaxed some of the rules on that since then, but I've not really looked into it.
Folks can of course still complete the achievements even though they're not officially added to the game. Making a 2-minute-long pipeline ride is still fun regardless of whether the game congratulates you for it 🙂

There has been, at least for much of the time, more to the achievement system than devs just adding whatever they want whenever. There were, maybe still are, guidelines for adding stuff

Because plenty of games add 1-x amount of cheevos with Title updates, shit some devs even made it a moneymaker by adding TU with 1000 gamerscore to increase sales

The only rule ive heard mention is that you cant release them too quick, x amount of time needs to pass.

Could be. As I said, I've not looked into it. All I know is the devs said that at the time they were not able to add them, and I believe it was attributed to Microsoft's rules on adding achievements or, more specifically, adding specific amounts of points

It's been a while, and I could be misremembering the situation. Either way, I can't think of any reason the devs wouldn't want to add them, if they could. Perhaps at the time they couldn't, and perhaps now they can but it's not a priority. No idea

DRG uses peer-to-peer connections -- there are no servers -- so ping is always directly related to the host's internet connection and the joined player's internet connection. Either you live significantly far away from each other, and the distance the data must travel is farther and therefore takes longer to make the trip, or one or both of you are dealing with some kind of bottleneck on your internet connection(s). It's hard to say what could be the case

Thanks for the comment, we are from the same country, (less than 200km away) for him the ping is good when joining distant servers, the problem didn't happen before, and we don't have this same problem with other P2P games, it started a few months, before that we played normally (he plays on PC and I play on Xbox)

looking for solutions I saw a thread on steam that lists people with the same problem but doesn't give the answer, there it is pinned with the name "Connection lost/High Ping/Lag since Season 02."

If he can play fine with other people, but not with you, that suggests it's an issue with your connection. It could be related to the issue you mention, something having to do with a Season 2 update, but I'm not familiar with the issue to be able to say more about it.
People have reported performance issues since the introduction of the season updates, but so far the devs have had difficulty reproducing and isolating the issues in order to address them. I'm not sure what can be done aside from investigating your internet connection and seeing if there is something on your end.
We'll get Season 4 in a few weeks, and it's possible there are some improvements coming with that (though it's equally possible that some people may experience some new or increase performance issues...)

• we don't use VPN

Yeah, just make a copy as backup for safe keeping (although their are cloud saves that are automatically made, in case the worst happens), and then launch the Steam version at least once to generate a save file. Then just copy your Xbox save into the Steam location, change the file name and file extension to match the Steam save file exactly (you'll need to rename or remove the Steam file first because you can't have two identically named files in the same folder), and launch the Steam version

If you want, you can verify the cloud saves by launching the Xbox version, opening the Options menu, selecting Save Menu, and then selecting Restore Save. This will show you a list of all of the save files you have available in the Xbox cloud, should you need them

You can play both, but your progress would be separate in the two versions unless you keep transferring the save file back and forth.
Also, you can certainly uninstall a version, but the installs are very small, relatively speaking, and only take up about 2gb of space. That's the power of procedural generation and stylized graphics!

There are automatic cloud backup saves, so you're safe to erase your save file and see if it launches with a fresh save file. Then you can use the cloud backup to restore a good save file

If the Store doesn't show that you own the stuff, I'd contact Microsoft. Stuff not showing that you own what you should own is gonna pretty much be on them to fix.

If the Store does show that you own it, and it's just not showing up in game, perhaps just wait a few days. Occasionally the DLC acts like it's not available in-game, because the game can't verify with Microsoft that you own it. We're getting an update in 4 days for Season 4, so that might fix any weirdness.
You could maybe try Repairing or Resetting the DRG app from Windows Settings if you feel like you have to do something sooner. No idea if that would help, but it's something to try. If it erases your save data, you should be able to load a cloud save from the in-game Options menu. Select Save Menu, then select Restore Save, and you should see a list of cloud saves that you can load

Are you keeping the Steam version up-to-date? Because until the 22nd, the Steam version is going to be ahead of the Windows version, and that's been known to cause issues with the save transfer. Once the Windows version catches up, it might work again without issue

It probably won't work right now, though, because the Steam version is already on Season 4 while the Xbox version is not yet. When the Steam version is ahead of the Xbox version, moving saves is often unreliable. It's an unofficial feature, so occasionally it's not reliable

Yeah, its really weird. Before Season 3 it was a perfectly stable 60fps, after the performance patch it has been fluctuating between 30-50 fps in Performance Mode, only way to fix it is to turn the quality down to 40 percent every single time :/

I'm really loving the update so far. Shield Battery Booster OC buff lets me do something fun I coulden't before on Scout. Vampire and See-You-In-Hell combined with the 1 second shield delay setup lets me fight basic grunts by just spamming pickaxe swings and I keep healing myself + the short shield delay helps making tanking the hits in that small timeframe work really well without losing too much health if I carefully take on groups. It doesn't feel overpowered either cause trying to deal with stuff outside of basic grunts is a horrible idea, and getting swarmed is still going to kill you on higher difficulties. But man it feels so good having a way to conserve ammo more often and heal more often too as Scout. Bonus points if the buff for increased pickaxe damage pops up in the bar.

Hey, i got the game a few months back on the XBOX game pass (Windows PC edition) and then bought it after I canceled the game pass. It was working fine for the past few months up until yesterday, then it got stuck on a joining screen whenever I tried to do multiplayer. Sessions can desync, which will prevent inviting and joining. Make sure everyone who is try to play together exits the game, and then relaunches the game. Then, wait until you're fully loaded into the Space Rig and can run around before inviting or accepting invites.
If this doesn't work, check your system time. If your time is not set accurately, it can prevent inviting and joining. Easiest thing to do is go into Windows Settings -> Time & language -> Date & time and make sure "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both turned on

can someone please help with something my friend's been experiencing?

ok so the other day I was hosting and apparently when I ended the session he was still in my lobby, so he got disconnected, and ever since then everytime he tried to load the game (just simply loading the game) it pops up with the "multiplayer session ended" and if he clicks the ok button or whatever it just takes him to the main loading screen and if he's wuick enough he can hit the play button before the message pops up again and he can do solo missions... it crashes if he tried to connect with anyone or anyone tries to connect with him

Could try getting the NAT type to be open. That would involve messing around with network settings, which is more complicated than reinstalling Windows, in my opinion (Windows kinda just does its thing once you get the process started)

I think some achievements will transfer... sort of.

Some achievements are based on progress, so that info is stored in the save file -- things like playing 100 solo missions -- those should trigger once you accomplish the triggering event one more time. So if you've player 120 solo missions already, the very next time you finish a solo mission, the check to see how many you've done should trigger, and since it's over 100 you'll unlock the achievement.

However, there's plenty of achievements that are not progress-based, so there is nothing related to them I'm the save file -- things like kicking all the barrels into the drop pod, or the carpool achievement, or the barrel hoop game. Those you'll need to do the whole thing again to unlock.

I'm not sure about the Miner's Manual, but I would expect that to be correct as I would expect that to be in the save file

And turning on the crosshairs turns the version number back on for the next mission

Just had a crash right at the end of a very lucrative mission. Had one dreadnaught left with half health, over 1000 gold, 3 korlok fragments and a ton of resources. What if when the ganme crashes any resources/credits/xp are halved and given to you on start up.

I have yet to hear "Journey Of The Prospector" in game. I've heard all the other usual music, but sometimes when I load into a mission there's no ambient music at all, but swarm music still plays during swarms. I think the new song is bugged and silent for some reason when the game tries to play it.
