i hooked up my series x to my brothers 8k tv and i was getting around 80-100 FPS with my HDMI cable that supports 8K

also if u have a tv that supports that you wanna make sure you turn on settings to enable HDMI 2.1. My roku tv i can choose between HDMI 1.4 or 2.0 and on my brothers tv its called samsung intelligent mode

Doubt it. It’s older than HDMI 2.1. Not really interested in buying more equipment for my console when every other game I play runs fine and up until the update DRG ran perfectly too

The cable that comes with series x is hdmi 2.0 which means you shouldn't need anything else to make your games playable

And to be fair it is playable but it isn't the amazing experience it was.

I have also had the same experience as you. If you are playing with a wireless controller with a headset connected it seems to occur the more people in the lobby, though it’s also happened to me while solo occasionally. Immediate fix is to disconnect headset, then wireless controller works without issue. If using a wired controller none of this seems to be an issue. Only started happening after series S/X update and I do not experience any of these issues with any other game currently.

That is what worked for me when playing in public lobby. If controller bugged out I removed headset, controller immediately was fine and showed no issues after that.

Had to use display audio instead and no party chat.

If it’s a fix for now that’ll be nice to know. Hopefully it’s something they’ll fix. It’s not a complete loss or anything just annoying when it does happen because it can throw games.

@light niche give it a try, worked for me. Only seen a few people report the issue and most say switch to a wired controller or remove headset if wireless. I think all were on Xbox rather than PC Microsoft.

Weird if I go on my series x it’s capped at 60 fps with no drops except maybe between 55-60 FPS

Now my computer with DRG is a different story of going between 80-220 FPS

I’d love a FPS limiter for both max FPS and minimum FPS

The only game that is badly optimized is Dyson sphere program ouch

My wife and I have been having an issue trying to play DRG together or with others on two separate computers in the same house. We are playing on PC via Xbox/Windows, not Steam. We were able to play together just fine for the first three days, but as of yesterday we cannot play together or join a public game. When I pull up the Xbox game bar on either computer, the option to invite someone to a game or to join a game is grayed out. If I try to invite someone from within the game, clicking the plus sign or pressing the correct button does nothing. I've searched online and tried a LOT of things, to no avail. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, reset my modem/router, made sure my NAT was open on both computers, made sure the Windows firewall allowed DRG and the Xbox apps, turned OFF the firewall completely, made sure my computer clock was synced by turning automatic time off and on and pressing the "sync" button, and more. However, just a few minutes ago, I read another troubleshooting tip that said to go to the mission board, sort by "close," and select a game that has a time instead of "N/A." On my computer, that fixed the problem and I can now join games and send invites. However, that did not work for my wife's computer. I've tried hosting a public game from my computer and having her join, but her screen just says "loading" and never progressed further than that. I've tried joining other "close" games with a time from her computer and nothing. I even sent her a game invite from my computer, but when I click "accept," nothing happens. Any advice?

Well, update on my issue. My computer for some reason can no longer join games and I cannot send game invites either. I tried the "join a close game" trick and it won't join those either. I got my wife's computer to actually join a game one time when I tried running DRG as administrator. I tried doing that on my computer and it didn't work. Closed out DRG on my wife's computer and restarted it as administrator to see if it would still work. Nope. Now I'm back to the original problem where I cannot join any games or invite anyone to a game.

Just some words of advice. Remember if u ask developers for cross play with other platforms just remember that opens up a lot of possibilities for cheaters from steam to ruin ur Xbox experience and right now Xbox players only have to deal with cheaters that use windows build or have a modded Xbox.

Yeah, I went through this with one of the Xbox Gamer Helpers or whatever they were called. My NAT is open on both computers and server is connected. On Windows 11 computer, you have to go through the Xbox companion app thing

hey everyone, so I did something weird and checked the pinned posts before asking 😅 but after following the pinned post guide for transferring save from Steam to Gamepass (Windows 10) it still just boots up as a level 1 greenbeard without transferring all of my save data over. yeah unfortunately it is just showing cloud saves with no option to open/search for local saves. I keep an eye on my save file in my Game Pass install of the game, when I launch the game after having replaced it it seems like Microsoft just wipes my steam file right as it brings up the launch info screen (I can see the kb drop back down to around 30 instead of 300 or so which is my steam save size 🤷‍♂️

I don't have any personal experience with it lately. It is entirely possible that the save transfer does not work anymore. I cannot imagine why there would be any difference in the save files between owning the DRG or using Game Pass to download DRG.

If you launch the game where you are trying to copy the save to, you should have a brand new save file. If you then copy your actual save file to the same location, and then rename the file and file extension so that it is exactly the same as the brand new save file (you'll have to remove the brand new save file from the folder, as two files cannot have the same name and extension), the game should load the "brand new save file" which now contains your actual save data

45 second screencap of the process, you can see I drop the 200ish kb file in, then launch the game, right at the info screen it wipes it and resets to a fresh save at 20kb

That appears to be the correct procedure. It is clearly removing the file and creating a new one with a new name for some reason. It is possible that the transfer simply does not work anymore. I can't say why, but perhaps there is now some save file validation built-in, that did not exist previously.
The only thing I can suggest trying, is delete the Microsoft save, launch the game, play through the tutorial and then play through one whole mission, to make sure you have some actual save data in the save file. Then, try the transfer process again and see if that makes a difference. I don't really think it will, but it's pretty much the only thing I can think of.

Why is it that when I go and invite when I press windows g and try to invite a friend it’s grayed out so I can’t invite them?

Plenty of reasons:

• the session has desynced, so have everyone exit and relaunch the game
• your system clock is not accurate, so check in Windows Settings and make sure "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both turned on
• Sometimes rebooting your PC can help
• Make sure drivers and Windows are updated
• An issue with your Xbox networking, try logging out and logging in again, try repairing or uninstalling/reinstalling Gaming Services

That is a bummer. It was always an unofficial feature though, and it is possible the functionality returns at some point. Also, no reason you can't still join your friends for some fun; it might not count towards your main save progress, but it should still be fun

it is not completely broken, we removed HDR since it doesnt look right. That you liked it better does not make it broken 🙂 we are still trying to get an overview of remaining issues on series s, but we dont really have anything specific from the players yet, other than it might be performing worse, but often it is based on an inaccurate performance target that wasnt how the game was before the update.

If you have more detailed feedback, we might be able to help. when we test it on series s, we dont get those issues

I would suggest that you add HDR to Xbox Version because it doesnt look good anymore. Several players here stated that. It really looks awful right now, especially all colors faded and its so bright, the gamma slider doesnt help much with it. Dont know what to say else. Im getting performance issues in every game since the S/X Version update where you added 120Fps. Every time there is a swarm coming, drop pod called, dreads spawning, basically every little ingame event causes the game to freeze for a short duration. Its very bad when you play Haz5. I had fun for months now with the game but as it runs right now im only playing it for the cores and thats it. Deep Dives are not fun with this issues either.

Honestly i cant believe that the colors fading and the overall increased brightness is only due to removing HDR. Didnt know until now it had such a huge impact on game visuals.

Maybe you can let the players themselves decide if they want HDR or not, maybe you can implement it in settings so we can activate or deactivate it.

Okay, it should be storing your saves in the cloud (as well as locally), so it should just work when you launch the DRG on your Xbox; it's usually pretty good about it.
If it doesnt "just work," in the pause menu, go to Options, then Save Menu, then Restore Save. This should let you choose a save file to "restore" if it doesn't happen automatically

There's no real shortcuts in DRG, but some tips:

• The obvious: look for missions with a Double XP modifier. Do these, and complete them quick enough and you may be able to play them again before missions rotate. Missions rotate every half hour.
• In general: complete the primary and secondary objectives as fast as possible, and then call for extraction. The vast majority of the XP you earn will be from completing objectives. The faster you complete missions, the faster you gain XP.
• Play on the highest Hazard Level that you feel like you can comfortably do things quickly. The Hazard Level does contribute to an XP and Credits bonus, but playing a high-Hazard mission that takes 40 minutes will get you fewer XP than completing two low-Hazard missions in 15 minutes each.
• Similarly, you can request extraction to complete a missions as soon as you've completed the primary objective. If you can't quickly find all of the secondary objectives, it is usually a more efficient use of your time to complete two missions doing only primary objectives than it is to complete one mission with both primary and secondary objectives completed.
• Completing random events usually contribute a significant amount of XP to your earnings, but they can be a time sink and/or challenging for newer players.

Disclaimer: These tips are probably not the most fun way to play. I personally enjoy exploring every cave, and there are so many things you can find that unlock cosmetics from things like Lost Packs or Cargo Crates. If you rush you might miss the opportunity to get new stuff, but only in that moment; you can't permanently miss any cosmetics (except maybe time-limited stuff for special occasions, but the devs often give additional opportunities for those)

I assume you have a headset plugged in when this happens? There's been a few of us here and reddit experiencing this bug. The only fix I've found so far is to play with the controller plugged into the system. A friend uses a wireless headset and didn't complain about it happening at all so that might work as well.

If you don't have a long enough cable, you'll have to either play without a headset until it's fixed or disconnecting your headset will "reconnect" your controller until it happens again.

ok, so I am kinda at a loss here: I've been playing DRG for a good year on my PC, I bought the Windows Store version. Never crashed, ran 100% smooth. A few weeks back it started crashing out of the blue - I thought it might have been the Nvidia drivers, but I rolled back to a version I am certain that worked, didn't affect the crashing though. Not much with regards to error messages, either.

Thing is, it sounds like you'd also be fine with getting nothing after level 100. That would certainly require less care and thought than would changing the reward from a handful of Credits to something else. I suspect that the rewards after level 100 are intended to be a little "hey, you did a thing. Nice!" without over-incentivizing players to grind hard to get to 100+ or changing the balance of anything; it's already balanced to take roughly 100 hours to complete the pass (Oktoberfest event pickups not included), which is a lot of game time for some folks...

I've seen this problem has been mentioned by a few people, but I'm having an issue with multiplayer totally not working on PC Game Pass. It went from working fine last week to totally broken. 'Press C to invite' button is just not there, can't right click to join or invite from Xbox menu, trying to join from server browser does not work. I've tried some obvious fixes like port forwarding, firewall settings, updating drivers and I've tried everything I could find from searching this channel - time/date settings, teredo, etc. Nothing has had any effect. If anyone has any solution I'd love to hear it! Otherwise... I hope it'll be addressed in an upcoming update

Honestly having the insider version to test out future updates is a great idea but developers said they would see if it’s worth keeping after testing it out so I recommend telling everyone you know insider versions will be coming maybe later this year or early next year there’s really no ETA from them yet

While buying something on Xbox is technically also buying it from a Microsoft Store, it's not the Microsoft Store, which is important to distinguish, samt goes with the platform itself, to not cause confusion the other way around. The PlayStation channel are also not going to change to "Sony Store" - it should be somewhat consistent across the channels.

Is anyone having an issue loading the game on xbox? The start screen has suddenly started showing "multiplayer session ended" and wont let you past. If you spam Y and get o it wont let you invite or join friends sessions either

Well, yes. But I have the same issue as the guy stated above while I'm on xbox and probably have an entirely different issue with the same effect. I can't invite people to join me, I can't join invites, and I can't join other lobbies from server browser. I have to restart my game after every lobby I'm part of closes because of said issue.

It’s been like that since rework of network framework before that work it was always crashing and always disconnecting

Play fab is a little more stable then unreal game network code

Take grounded it’s using unreal game engine for multiplayer and I’m always getting high ping and random disconnects

I have great internet 330 down and 20 up

dont get me wrong grounded probably runs great multiplayer on steam but microsoft and unreal have had troubles in the past and unreal doesnt wanna fix multiplayer coding in its engine since its happening on all unreal games i own expect DRG since it got unreal network code and UWP removed

Yes, the save files are synced to cloud storage, so loading the game from the Microsoft Store should just work.
If your save is not available automatically, you can go to the Options menu and check the Save Menu. When you select Restore Save, it should give you a list of you available cloud saves so you can restore your progress

On console, cloud saves might be dependent on if you have Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold (if that's still a thing), but yes, it should be saving automatically to the cloud, and restoring automatically from the cloud as you move between Xbox console and PC.
The Save Menu is only there in case it doesn't happen automatically, or in case of save file corruption

i think 30 FPS might be fixed but stutters are still there even on my powerful computer but hardly noticeable since i get over 100 FPS

no problem on my series x i get FPS between 58-60 FPS since i dont have a tv that supports HDMI 2.1

i did test it out on my brothers 8K tv and i was getting FPS between 80-110 FPS going up and down lol

not stable FPS at all

id love DRG to have stable FPS like how rogue company on my computer is a stable 150 FPS

honestly i wish GSG would have defined what the modes mean on graphics for console like how rockstar games did with GTA 5/online for newer version

my eyes suck past a foot so visual quality doesnt really matter to me, but if the fps is too horrible it will of course, suck immensely
