hey all, been having an issue in the game where my map list with all the missions/assignments isnt synced up with other players and people cant join me. Cant really find a solution. Any suggestions? i play on steam and have verified game files.

Check your system time settings. In Windows Settings, Time & Language, Date & time, make sure both "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are turned on to make sure your system clock is correct. Incorrect system clock will prevent you from being able to play with others as well as giving you an out-of-sync mission selection screen.
Also, this is the Xbox/Microsoft Store version channel, you might find more assistance specific to the Steam version in the #bug-discussion channel if you encounter further issues

HDR looks like crap when turning on setting vs leaving it off in game and letting windows/TV take care of it

Correct. There is no cross-platform at all technically. The only cross-play available is within the same platform: PlayStation consoles can play together because they are on Sony's platform, and the Xbox consoles plus the Microsoft Store of Windows can play together because they all use the Xbox platform. But the platforms cannot cross-play

Make sure you launch both versions at least once before you try to transfer the save. You must have a save file in each location so you know the exact file name and file extension to use. Both file name and file extension must match exactly.
To make it easy to see file extensions, go into File Explorer Options (search for this from the start menu to make it easy to get to the right place), then on the View tab of the Options window uncheck the the box for "Hide extensions for known file types." This will show you the extension as part of the file name.

You're transferring the save from Steam to Xbox, correct?
So, you need to copy the Steam save into the Xbox save folder.
Then, copy the name of the Xbox save file (right-click, select Rename, highlight the name, Ctrl+C to copy, click anywhere off of the name to stop editing the name).
Then, delete the Xbox save file (right-click, select Delete).
Then, change the name of the Steam save (right-click, select Rename, highlight the name and extension, and Ctrl+V to paste, click anywhere off of the name to stop editing the name).

As long as you've copied the Steam save file into the Xbox save location and then renames the Steam save file to have the same name and extension as the Xbox save file, it should work

Having no need to try myself in a very long time, and having Xbox be my main save, I haven't tried in so long that it's possible it changed. Season 2 did introduce an updated engine, so things like loading save files might have been altered enough that the old method just doesn't work any more

You can’t rename the file extension if going from steam to Xbox, you need to first copy the NAME of the file of your Xbox save, replace your steam’s save with that name, then put the steam save in the Xbox save folder and delete the original (back it up before you try)

If you don’t rename the file or if it’s not recognized, then it won’t work and Microsoft will make a new save file instead.

Steam files have the .sav added on, if you’re going to transfer it then you gotta remove the .sav

Anyone else have the issue where after a mission or 2 you can't invite anyone to your lobby? If so, is there a way to fix it?

It doesn't always happen after the same amount of time (sometimes it happens right away during or after the first mission and sometimes it doesn't happen at all in an hours-long session), but sessions can become desynced after some random amount of time. When that happens, you'll get exactly what you've experienced: friends cannot join you and you cannot send them invites.
The only way to make sure that everyone in your group can get in is to have everyone completely exit the game and then relaunch the game. Make sure no one tries to join or accept an invite until they are fully loaded into the game and are able to run around the space rig. This works every time for the desync issue. The only downside of this method is when you're in the middle of a mission and someone wishes to join: you can always exit the mission or quickly wrap it and then exit and relaunch. It isn't ideal, but at least missions are not often very long to have to wait through.

Could be input/output problems, at least on PC those like to reset themselves without asking from time to time. Test audio coming through your tv/monitor (assuming it has speakers) independently of your headset to make sure it’s a problem with the game and not your hardware

For example, if you get audio through your tv/monitor but not your headset, then it’s a headset problem. If it’s a wired headset, it might be a controller problem.

I’ve never had that problem happen before, but you aren’t the first person I’ve seen ask that same question in this chat before.

Try exiting the game and, if it's been a while, reboot your PC. Then try the game again. Most of the time, exiting the game and relaunching the game will fix these issues. Always try this first.
If that doesn't do it, check Windows Settings, Time & Language, Date & Time.
Make sure both "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" to ensure your system clock is accurate. If system time is not accurate, you will not be able to invite or join friends.

Your world region setting also has to be accurate to your PC's physical location. Some users have changed regions settings for other games, and this will usually cause the same issues.

Also, make sure you've updated Windows and drivers. You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and some folks have had issues with Gaming Services so that might need to be uninstalled and reinstalled as well

Teammates also can’t be dotted by neurotoxin to my knowledge, so you also don’t need it for the autocannon. Only thing there that could benefit are the firebombs but the fire damage mostly just tickles

Hoping I can get an answer from the devs here. About 2months ago I think, there was an issue that made the game disappear off of everyone's gamelist, game Hub/Club was inaccessible, couldn't join/Inv friends to games and everyone's status would show as being on "Home screen". It resulted in a bunch of people coming on here asking for help and ended up being resolved the next day.

Now something very similar has been happening to the vast majority of xbox 360 backward compatibility titles: games are gone off of people's lists and the Hubs/clubs for those games are also inaccessible. Bunch of people are reporting this and Xbox is supposedly investigating the issue but it's been over 2 weeks now with no update and they haven't fixed it whereas you devs did it in a day.

Is it possible, in layman's terms, to know what the problem was in Drg's case? To possibly provide more details to Xbox in report tickets

Just a shot on the dark because it was the first time I had seen this in Drg's case and now same thing happens with 360 titles. I realize it's probably unrelated or not the same issue at all by the fact that Drg only was affected but in this case it's over 50 games at once

Any way the devs could fix the lobby glitch that happens after what seems like a random amount of time? Sometimes the game works for 5 missions, and I can still invite people to my game, sometimes it only works for 1. It is annoying that I have to disband my current team to invite a new member to the squad. Especially whenever we are mid mission, and it would be cool to have a second, third, or fourth.

It has been happening since update 33, atleast that was when I first noticed it since I just got xbox live then. It has a vastly negative effect on new players on xbox aswell, some of the new people I was playing with have quit and went to play other games since then they won't have to worry about being able to invite people.

I have had it happen after getting a 4th, and them leaving the squad, then trying to invite someone new, but that I don't know if that's the cause.
The other thought is maybe it has something to due with the ruleset of you can't join a mission after a certain point, like during the time between the fuel cells being fully filled, to the drop pod departing.
Third thought is that it happens when you are hosting a mission, and the missions available refresh. Could be the game saying "oh hey your lobby is not in sync with the current missions available"
Those three have seemingly caused it for me.

Related, I love that instant resume is supported, but I've found that if I leave to play another game or just am gone a while, I can almost always never able to send multiplayer invites to join my lobby, and I almost always play with at least one other person.

So I end up having to force quit the game and open it back up. The instant resume just ends up causing me to waste more time I could be playing the game. I wish I could just turn it off.

The real loss with FSR 2.0 is it can no longer be used as a post processing effect with proton in any game after the frame has been rendered.

The problem with the one x is that it locks you at 4k graphics, so for me I was stuck between 20-55 fps. And if a horde spawns, as it is spawning in my game would freeze so I'd have .25 fps sometimes. They could have prevented it with worse graphics, but the xbox one x is doodoo for drg. The xbox one, or the series x are better.

That also having my game locked on performance mode aswell.

The devs do check in here during their business hours, so perhaps they might be able to shed more light on the situation. However, it looks like a fairly generic DirectX error, and could be caused by either a hardware or software issue with your PC.
At this point, you should check that your PC meets the system requirements for the game, and if so, probably update your graphics drivers. Then, give it another go and see what happens.
This isn't a common thing, or at least it's not common for folks to mention this issue in here, so at this point it's reasonable to consider that this is a issue specific to your system, rather than to the game itself

Hey bjorn can you ask whoever fixed multiplayer crashing how they fixed it because whatever they did caused the DX12 bug to happen more and I’m thinking that might help reproduce it during testing

i play on a series S and when i launch the game after i hit continue at the launch screen it instantly pops up with multiplayer session ended, my only options are hit B and have the same thing happen or if i hit y quick enough before the window pops up i cant get into a game but i cant join any multiplayer things with freinds or start anything

So I've had an issue for the past week where for all of my controllers, regardless of condition, have been turning my view to the right when I'm pressing forward on my left stick, I thought it might be controller drift at first, but it only happens when I'm holding my left stick forward, and it happened on my new Xbox controller aswell. It affects my gameplay, and I haven't been able to find anything online.

Any ideas on a fix devs?

Try turning down the look sensitivity. I think this might be a case of input errors in the game. I’ve had something similar to this happen in other games.

Guys I am having a unique issue, I am not able to see close or medium distance servers (US East), only far and world. I recently got a new ISP, and am wondering if this may have something to do with firewall settings on the modem or something of the sort.

Server list has been messed up for a few updates for me as well it shows me far and close on top while medium is at the bottom. I get UK servers on top when it should be USA first lol
