I just got the game four days ago, and haven't been able to join any multiplayer sessions. Every time I try to join one, it loads, says "Multiplayer Session Ended", then puts me in an empty lobby. Anyone know what i can do about this?

I also have this problem but with Management Approves. Been stuck at 19/25 for ages. I also can't get Stepping It Up or Consistent Performance and I think the reason or part of it might be that I was in a game hosted by a friend the first time I played a Haz 3 mission. I was just hosting a session with my brother playing a Haz 4 mission and he didn't get Thick Skinned even though it was his first Haz 4.

He just happened to buy Bosco upgrades for the trophy and it blocked him from getting that as well. He can't get it even when going back to his own lobby. Definitely has something to do with being in an online lobby or being hosted by a friend.

this has been a running issue on all platforms, not just PlayStation, but it seems to be worse on that one. On most XBox/PC games it works fairly well, albeit certain achievements such as Roller Coaster outright don't work when not under specific circumstances, and plenty are somewhat delayed until returning to your own lobby.

My worry about this compared to other trophies is that when there’s no milestones left I won’t ever be able to get the trophy. Which for some strange reason drives me crazy. I've seen this happen when the refueling pod is moved too much after being plugged in. For instance, I once had a driller drill the refueling pod all the way to the bottom of the map after it was plugged in, and the pod no longer allowed you to activate it. Required the mission to be aborted.

Recently I completed the season 1 pass and claimed all the rewards. The season terminal now permanently shows "Claimable rewards" when I look at it, but there is nothing to claim. I triple checked all 100 levels; nothing. I also checked the 500 credit bonus for each additional level past 100; nothing. I think this may have happened when I let the first couple 500 credit rewards stack up before claiming them. Anyone else experience this?

Cloud saves can take a bit of time to kick in if you've just come back fresh, Steam cloud saves isn't the most reliable thing ever for doing things quickly

Is it a known issue that the "Elite Threat" modifier doesn't seem to spawn Elite versions of enemies but rather manifests as swarmageddon? It has also manifested as Mactera Plague at least once for me, but ussually it's swarmageddon. Or I'm getting very lucky with the Elite spawns and very unlucky with swarmer spawns.

I am not referring to the standard swarms mission control announces. I am referring to the random spawns that occur during mission where you can hear them dig up if you're close enough.

To be clear I mean that the majority of the random spawns, not those announced by mission control, were compromised mostly of swarmers for multiple different elite threat modified missions. The same happened once where it was macteras instead of swarmers.

Edit: Also saw zero Elite Enemies during these missions as well.

So has anyone else had an increasingly hard time connecting to lobbies recently? It seems like 95% of the time I click on a public lobby, it says failed to join and multiplayer session disbanded before kicking me back to the space rig. I've tried restarting, validating the files, uninstalling all my mods and the entire game and reinstalling it, but it just seems to happen all the time. It's not 100% of the time either, and when I do get into games I have a perfectly stable connection, so I really don't understand what's happening.

I don't know about increasingly...but I have that happen usually a couple of times per play session. The little grey error code detail in the bottom right of the message says "UNKN". It's happened sporadically over the entire 1000 hours I've played DRG and I've unfortunately come to just accept it at this point (at least until we get some better error messages, something like "session was full by the time you tried to join")

If that happens too much back-to-back in a given play session I generally just host a game and that works fine

Also also...there was a patch released today, and if there's a version mismatch I think it will show up that way (as a simple join failed vs. a more detailed message). So that could be an explanation of a spike in that happening today

anybody else have a problem of your microphone, well.. working, but not at the same time? it's kinda hard to explain, so, you know how DRG has a ingame decibel reader when you go to audio, right? well I go there after realizing people can't hear me, but it goes up and down when i talk (as it should), but when i try to start a conversation, people can't hear me, only the microphone icon showing up by my name, i've tried verifying, anybody got any ideas?

the microphone is always finicky in DRG so sadly, it's nothing new or surprising 😔

i think that's only for bluetooth headphones, if it helps, the microphone works perfectly fine with any other game.

Been having this problem for a while. It just comes and goes. nothing seems to cause or fix it that I can tell, just randomly starts and stops itself. Seems like whatever back end system that updates the status for lobbies just fails to update your client for a while and as a result I just can't join any lobbies since the info I'm seeing is, long out of date?

Is it known that it is possible to be walking alongside a completed morkite pipeline and if you try and squeeze between it and a chunk of level you can get stuck in the pipeline? Like no matter what you are glued to the pipeline. Digging underneath doesn't help. Is there an 'unstuck' command?

Hi all,
I bought the game during the Lunar sale on Steam and only started playing recently and am having a strange bug I cant find a solution to.
Issue: I am unable to find any servers in the server browser (stuck on loading forever, even set to worldwide) and it seems nobody is able to join my open to public games. I am however able to join friends through steam/ steam invite and their open to public games have people joining.

I have tried reinstalling, verifying game files, disabling firewall, restarting PC/ modem/ routers multiple times but nothing seems to fix this issue.
Not sure if it is related, but I have completed the intro quest chain as well as the mineral market and the lvl2 gunner minigun mission chain in my friends game just fine.

Any help with this would be much appreciated 🙂

Got a weird sound glitch, quit and restarted but still a sound glitch (buzzing noise). Restarted Windows, everything normal again. However, when I started DRG I went straight to the tutorial instead of my saved game. When I reloaded my saved game my key bindings were reset to the defaults. This is the first time in 90+ hours of gameplay I've ever encountered a problem.

I am not very certain how it activates but I do know it prevents me from dealing any damage to enemies and doesnt let me climb the drop pod or the refinery. I have encountered it before but it is not quite a common thing. On PS4 btw.

I have a theory that if you happen to be resupplying near a pipe or near the platform of the refinery. And no the lobby wasnt high ping

However today I experienced it by simply walking up to the drop pod and depositing when mid-deposit I fall next to the bottom of the pod so I ignore it and try to get into the pod but I cant. Weirdest part is my teammates couldnt either

They were all trying to get it but they just no-clipped through the "staircase" of the pod

hey I have that happen too, I sometimes have something happen that I can only describe as desync where if I stand on anything that isn't natural cave floor I start clipping through it and jittering up and down

it applies to anything I try to interact with as well, like resupplying or reviving

makes depositing on point extraction and refining literally impossible for a random amount of time

Was in a Deep Dive today (3rd mission - haunted cave), and the deposit platform (with the turrets) was no longer solid. When you tried to walk or jump on it you fell right through to the bottom of the hole. You didn't even have to drill out of the hole either, you could walk out. Made the mission impossible to finish so now I'm frustrated and stuck.

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this. So I booted up my game on my console (PS5) and noticed that I lost the entirety of my progress since the last time I played (about an hour worth of game time, two missions roughly). I had promoted my Scout for the first time, unlocked a skin for the carbine, and an attachment for my pickaxe. I tried closing and booting up my game several times but no luck. And I confirmed that the save file was still there, although I don't know if that is tied to my progress or not.

Has anyone noticed issues with players receiving trophies while in a group session of PS4 and PS5?

Me and my girl are on sep PS4's, a pro and an older model, while our friend was on PS5, and they wouldn't receive certain trophies that we did when we all played the same mission together.

Minor edit- trophy in question was killing multiple dreadnoughts in a certain time frame.

I'm having an issue where my friend who is new to the game has different missions available to him than to us (i.e. he'll have a mission in the sandblasted corridors and the rest of us won't even have sandblasted corridors available to us). He's already completed the initial mission for the game. He had issues where his system clock was not right, but we fixed that and he's still got a different mission set. I looked online and found people with a similar problem on reddit, but didn't see any solutions.

I've been running into a persistent issue where my mouse buttons in DRG (Steam version, running under Windows 10 standard edition) aren't responsive to being held down. Single-clicks always work correctly, but when holding down the button, about 25% of the time it acts like a click-and-release. This is especially noticeable when playing Driller, since most of its weapons and the drills rely on being held down.

I play many other games that require holding down mouse buttons, and this only occurs in DRG. I also have no issues clicking and dragging in Windows. I use a Logitech G Pro mouse with latest drivers. I don't have a spare mouse to swap out for testing right now. No weird overlays or anything running on my system -- I keep Windows pretty clean of extra processes and services. I've tried running DRG in both full-screen and windowed mode, and neither seems to make a difference.

Hey guys, I have been experiencing weird crashes while playing DRG and I was wondering if y’all could provide any insight. Sometimes when playing DRG my whole computer will randomly crash (screens go blank and the computer is still on but not useable or interfaceable until after a hard reset). I play other more demanding games and never have had an issue like this and it's happened about 5 times recently when playing DRG. I've reinstalled DRG and still face this issue. No mods or anything. So first off saying more demanding software doesn't really mean a whole lot for stability. Every piece of software is going to utilize system resources differently. It's the same reason why synthetic benchmarks aren't great when evaluating real world performance. Second, you're likely correct in it being a system issue. It's less likely to be overheating or a power delivery issue as the system doesn't completely shut off. It's more likely to be instability somewhere else. Instability with gpu drivers, a bad chip on a stick of ram, too aggressive of an overclock, inadequate power delivery, etc.

Easily? No. All you can easily do is monitor system resources and see if anything spikes right before windows crashes. If you really want to find the issue, you'll need to run tests specific to each individual piece of hardware.

Hi,
I unlocked the Ghostly Pale (I think that's what it's called) weapon skin set for the Scout. I unlocked it through an assignment. It popped up upon assignment completion. A while back I also unlocked it for the Scout armour.
I went to the customisation terminal and it's not there, not for any of my guns for any of my classes nor for any of my class armours.
Is this a known issue? Am I missing something?

Just had a mission where I was hosting and everyone's connections were fine for about 20 minutes when suddenly they all froze and lost connection.

@silent prism Did you change graphics settings of the game or did they reset? Try lowering the graphics. Knowing which video card you have and looking at benchmarks might help as well. Besides that do what the error tells you, close other graphics apps while gaming (e.g. Discord). Sorry if this wasn't helpful.

Had a bug where I got dc'd from a game, quickly rejoined then fell through the ground into the void. I fell for about 1000 meters then my camera whipped back up to the point where i fell. The bug is listed already and the reporter said the bug fix itself when it got him the sixth after that it was labeled as resolved. Problem is mine is not that simple, I've already collected 10 times of that alien cube and it did not work from me still. After collecting the first 5 of it, I reinstalled the game and played it. I got the 6th but it never popped up. So I decided to collect another set of 5 hoping it will be fixed right away, but unfortunately the trophy didn't popped up still.

Hi all, I've had a sad thing happen yesterday: After getting most of the way through a solo mission (4-egg hunt, Crystalline Caverns, started the Hacksy side quest), my computer crashed (which actually happens somewhat often during DRG, not sure why). Upon reloading the game, the Coffee Stain Publishing and Ghost Ship Games screens came and went, followed by a title screen with sounds, a running dwarf, and "Loading..." written beneath it, which I've never seen before in my two months playing. After about 15 seconds on that screen, the screen goes black and the sounds stop, and it just sits that way.

Windows Task Manager says that DRG is "Not Responding" pretty much once the Ghost Ship Games screen comes up, and that it's power usage is "Very high." I've tried updating my graphics drivers, uninstalling/reinstalling the game multiple times, and tweaking some random system settings based on suggestions from the Internet, but nothing I've tried has allowed me to play. Even trying to join a friend's group doesn't change the black screen. I'm beginning to sense it might be a hardware issue...

bruh, this black screen issue on the xbox/windows version is getting really old really quick. half of these fixes ive been given dont even apply to the windows version and the other half arent the issue apparently. We've reinstalled the game and directx12 twice, theres no save file to delete, all the minimum specs are met, and it wont let us delete the intro animation files

Ok let's try this again, my whole mod manager broke which made it so that i mods won't get recognized once i have subscribed to them.
Because of that, I deleted every single mod.io folder in the hopes of it fixed the problem.
But i quickly noticed that it broke the mods even more because now it won't let me allow to accept the terms of use.
The reason for that is that i deleted the user.jason file, which seems to be needed for it to work.
So i have 2 options, either i don't delete the file and mods wont load, or I delete it but I cant agree to the terms of use.
I tried everything from deleting the game verified files and even made a new mod.io file, but the game just won't make a new user.jason file.

If you land a shot while the hoop is moving to the right, the score grows larger when the hoop hits one of the sides, as it would when on a combo. This doesn't actually cause a combo though, and score calculation works just fine.

So I've got a couple; First, I take it someone has reported the Tumourous Growths in Radioactive Exclusion Zone, as the tend to flicker in a way that they really shouldn't? (and possibly other assets too since I'm sure I've seen other things in this biome do this)

And the other thing I wanted to discuss was the Drop Pods -
On entering and leaving missions I've noticed how the pod doesn't deter weather effects such as snow from a blizzard and it passes right through, is it just me that it bothers? Now, my thought was initially to request it as a future tweak or "feature", but here's where it enters into Bug territory, as I've noticed playing around (quivering in terror at the Elite Deep Dive) that while the open front door is designed to deter bugs and even forcibly change their trajectory so as to redirect their AOE attacks, an enterprising Bug can head round the back and spit, smash or explode into the back of the pod, and the splash damage can go straight through! Since a lucky hit can disadvantage or even doom a Dwarf from the off in an immersion breaking way, is it worth reporting it as a bug to address it more urgently, or shall I just run it by #suggestions?

The reason is “it’s a bug”. Seems to happen more with latejoin clients but I’ve seen it in clients with 4 dwarves who started the mission together too

Never seen it as host though, personally. So I suspect a netcode / client sync issue of some sort

hi i've been playing around 3 weeks and i never had any issues until around 3 days ago when it started buffering and taking longer to load, then when i killed a praetorian the smoke rendered as flat green texture or noise file squares growing outward instead of smoke, it then crashed with a crash report box which i sent, and after that it's been very prone to random crashes, i validated a few times, totally reinstalled, hasn't fixed it, and it doesn't even give the crash reports anymore so i can't send those out

Hi, I had problems with launching this game from the beginning but this one just got me furious. When I opened the game sometimes would bluescreen come out and i had to restart my pc then later i got bluescreen too but when i opened DRG again i had everything deleted and i had to go threw tutorial as well. I didint lost that much but i dont want to grind for the next 12 h again.

my best guess is it got teleported by either a pumpjack falling or a platform i placed? maybe bosco dropped it in the void

Hey, I know this may not be the place but I can't find the right chat to post this information on.

For anyone having issues with HDR not being recognised by the TV (Samsung): For me, it turns out it was a setting on the TV. 'input signal plus' had to be enabled for the hdmi socket with the computer connected.
After this, the settings appeared where it should be in windows.

Can you tell me if there's any better place for this info?

I cant play the game anymore. The main screen when just starting up and the page with the info in the continue button. They lag to the point where I cant load in. and the game ran fine 2 days before.

Looks like an issue with dx12. There's a couple things to try.

1. Verify game files.
2. Disable all mods.
3. Launch the game with dx11. If playing the in 10 version, you're SOL.
4. Disable the steam overlay. This can either be done through steam settings or by navigating to the main Steam folder and either renaming or deleting GameOverlayRenderer64
