I completed the xmas assignment the other night. I was presented with a pop up that advised I got an overclock for a weapon and the "Ghastly Pale" skin pack. However when I go to skins it's not there, have I got this wrong or is it a bug?

Been running into "network errors" that straight drop all my teammates on an hourly basis since update 35, not sure if it's just me. It becomes playable for an hour or so after a restart each time before it starts dropping folks again.

I have 1000mb/s ethernet and DRG has not done this before in the past. I am afraid to host now due to fears of losing all my teammates (I mainly join CLOSE lobbies and play with folks nearby too, so this is quite bizarre to me).

I'm on Linux playing via Proton but a friend on Windows 10 is also having similar issues.

Did you try turning Steam overlay off for DRG (right click in Steam library - properties - first checkbox in General)? Might help, I've been having the same issue in Vermintide 2 lately and turning off Steam overlay fixed it.

In the escape menu in game there's a button you can press to pick a save to restore to. The game makes regular backups, so unless you somehow lost your local saves and the steam cloud stuff, you should be able to pick one.

You might lose a little progress, but it's far better than losing everything

Anyone else experience weird bugs when killing Glyphid Menaces?

I have them ragdolling around weirdly, gaining momentum and moving around as if they're being pushed.
And I hear the sound of them ''re-surfacing'' for an attack, despite them being dead. (and no it's not a 2nd Menace, this happens constantly after killing 1, and i never find another)

Would there by any insight or update regarding this topic? I'm pretty sure its not a network issue on my side andI've exhausted every troubleshooting step on my side (Re-installed steam as well, game, cleared any possible temp file, checked all my networking, only DRG has this issue)

Ok. Easy enough then. Doing a Haunted Extermination mission and the Unknown Horror was tunneling towards us near a coccoon. I suspect either the tunnel or an attack from the horror might have triggered the cocoon and spawned a Hiveguard but no Sentinels ever showed up soft-locking the encounter.

Dunno if it is a bug, but if you progress to 2nd or 3rd stage of DD as a driller with no C4, you get all of the charges back in your inventory (4 in my case).

Bosco pipeline repair bug: if you order bosco to repair a segment of pipe adjacent to another broken segment and you finish repairing the other segment before he's done with his, he abandons the task. Only happens when they're adjacent.

Then they are hard to spot and hard to exterminate.

The Collision detection for Loretta is somehow off.

hello. been having this issue for a while now and I've tried everything I can think of
game causes my pc to restart on random times, sometimes its at start of the game, during a mission, or just at the end
Last night I uninstalled steam and drg, reinstalled them, and it worked fine all night for 3-4 hours
Today back to square 1. played 1 game all fine, second one restarted towards the end. third one restarted on game start

If your PC is crashing and rebooting while playing a game, that's not a game bug, that's usually a PC hardware problem (or less likely, an OS/driver problem). There are good resources on the Internet if you need guided help troubleshooting such things (like r/TechSupport/ on Reddit) but unfortunately it's outside the scope of this channel/Discord.

That correlation of the start of your problems has the symptoms of a version mismatch between your local DRG and the games you're trying to join (although plenty of other things can cause that error as well). Might try doing a local file validation via Steam

That's a very, very common comment in here. DRG seems to tickle PC hardware a bit differently than other games. Nonetheless, the fundamentals are the same.

If you haven't checked it already, the pinned messages has a FAQ you can work your way through if you'd like to make sure you've tried everything else first - but if it were me, I'd focus on some stress / stability testing on my PC.

I've had this bug a couple of times now: the Ommoran's health bar didn't show up during the drilling process. It didn't actually impact the procedure at all, I just couldn't see the progress bar. Oh a few bugs on the XBox/Windows Store version (I can't be bothered learning Jira right now):
-The 'Fuel Cells' in Salvage Operation missions deal no damage to dwarves or bugs below them when landing
-In the 'Traversal Tools' subsection of the 'Getting Started' category of the Miner's Manual, Engineer is bordered in the same yellow as Driller is everywhere, including on that page
-All voice lines from all dwarves fade into silence on killing a Glyphid Bulk or Crassus Detonator, as the Final Blow's sounds appear to have priority over the dwarves' lines, thus blotting them out
-Bosco, when tasked with guarding the Drilldozer by a solo player, will switch from his 'defense' mode to his 'attack' mode on sighting an enemy, following any target he sees in a chain until he is no longer within range of any available enemy, at which point he will revert to 'defense' mode and return to the Drilldozer, which he will have left undefended and likely heavily damaged while chasing bugs

I don't even know if this is a workaround or just luck, but when my Hive Guard would not spawn minions, I just got bored and constantly shot at the guy, got down go very low ammo and then suddenly the Hive Guard roared and his Minions came. I'd guess the game realized "oh the Guard is threatened, time to summon them" or something. Only had that issue once so far

Just upgraded to Windows 11 yesterday (I know probably a mistake) and the game has started crashing within a couple of minutes with the error "The UE4-FSD Game has crashed and will close Fatal Error!". Sometimes even before my dwarf loads in. I'm running the game pass version and never had a single crash in over a year of playing on Windows 10. Saw to try DX11, but the game pass version doesn't seem to have that option.

My computer hardware is more than capable. i7 10700k, 32gb of ram, 3080 ti, 1tb nvme ssd. Trying other UE4 games on game pass haven't crashed. Here are some things I've tried:

• Clean driver install by booting in safe mode and using Display Driver Uninstaller
• Both 497.29 and 497.09 nvidia drivers
• Reinstalled the game twice (2nd time on a different ssd)

Any help or suggestions before I revert back?

as far as i heard the windows store and game pass version of the game seems to have a lot of issues going for it. I myself am on Windows 11 and previously used the game pass version, had a LOT of issues with it, i then swapped to using the Steam version and oddly my game has not had a single issue other then my 1 Hive guard not spawning minions...

Yea good to hear the Steam version is fine. Me and my wife were talking about switching since the Steam version gets updates right away. Plus we wanted to support the devs even more since we love the game. Saw there was a way to transfer saves too.

Zip lines have to be angled sufficiently for W to be an option - for example, flat horizontal zip lines won’t give you the option. I assume that’s not the problem?

I may be utterly insane but I've been playing engineer only for 50 hours and today my friend pointed out that whenever they drop on the plastcrete platforms, stuff makes a certain sounds and puffs up. I don't hear nor see both of those effects both when anyone else or I myself land on the platforms. Everything maxed out, DX12. No idea why it doesn't work for me.

Hey Miners! so i've had an issue for a little over a year now.
in short, I can no longer use the union terminal, there is no longer a prompt when I look at the monitor (next to the pickaxe mods).

I've reinstalled the game various times for various reasons, windows re-installation included, but somehow this gflitch always followed me.

I took a while because I assumed there was a reason for this but my friends confirmed to me they still have access to it so I have no clue.

Hello I have a bug to report

The bug being that I have just brought a next gen console because the old one was bricked and some of the dlcs I have purchased didn't carry over. This is strange because my characters are still wearing the drak future equipment but it isn't in the inventory. This is the same for the supporter pack and megacorp pack.

Unfortunately correlation does not equal causation - as a counterpoint, tens of thousands of people play this game online at peak times, and a change in the game that caused widespread connectivity problems would surface pretty quickly.

DRG uses peer to peer networking (more like client/server really, with the host as the server, and Steam assisting only to proxy/set up the connections). The host’s network quality is super important, as well as the quality of the network between players and host. And since Steam proxies traffic, Steam problems can also interrupt games (like on Tuesdays during Steam maintenance)

My recommendation is to enable advanced network statistics in the options menu. You can then view detailed latency, jitter, and packet loss data in the upper right. If you’re the host, you can even see it for all connected players. My guess is that your disconnect errors correlate with times of packet loss between host and client(s).

basically every time i load the game up the fps count is extremely low, im talkin like 5fps for no reason.

ive tried launching it in both directx 11 and 12 but nothing works.

Hello people. I'm currently experiencing issues with the server list, as I'm getting US lobbies instead of AU lobbies (I'm from Australia). This issue has only occurred to me today. Prior to the xmas update, I didn't have this issue at all. At first, I thought it was something to do with my VPN because I had it on auto-start today (so it automatically connects to the US server that I used yesterday for Netflix), so I turned that off, restarted my computer, came back, still finding US servers, not to mention it's classifying them as "Close" as well, even though I'm well away from the US. I'd like to know if this is an issue across the board or I'm the only one experiencing this. Here's a photo showing my current server list at the time of this post without any VPNs or network programs active. Hoping I'm not the only one dealing with this.

After doing some testing, it seems like the issue is caused by some mods (probably the Damage Text mod). I've disabled most of them and the problem never appeared again (for now). I might be wrong and the problem is another, but I can't be sure.

I play DRG through the Xbox App on my PC and recently I have not been able to get certain actions including Dash and the speed boost on gunners ziplines to work.

For Dash I have made sure that it is equipped before and after every mission, I've tried closing the game, force closing the game, changing key bindings, getting rid of key bindings, making it my only perk, restarting my computer and even unplugging and plugging back in my M&K... nothing seems to work and to add to that Berzerker doesn't work all the time either. These are my most used perks and it's getting really frustrating has anyone else had and or found a solution to this problem?

Anyone got any idea why my mods keep getting disabled when I launch the game? I have "auto disable outdated mods" ticked off and it happens with the ones that are up to date as well anyway. Unfortunately yes, and it always soft locks the mission when it happens. Supposedly it’s more likely to bug out if someone with a poor network connection picks it up, though I’ve had it happen as host once too.

I was directed here in relation to a stubborn bug I have to see if any of you may know a fix. I have had the have for about 3 days, on the first day game ran great, no issues. Second day the game kept crashing to desktop (without a crash report) from the initial loading screen transitioning from the exterior space station view to the ingame character FP view and have since I have had no issue getting the game past that loading screen. Does anyone have a solution for this as I have spent an entire day searching through crash fixes online and have had no luck in resolving the issue. Computer specs are the most up to date windows 10 OS, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, Intel Core i7-8750, 4.1 GHz CPU, and I have 32 Gb of RAM. I am also running the steam version of the game. If you are talking about in game settings with the tick box, I haven’t been able to access those as I can’t get into the station to hit escape and edit graphic settings, it was disabled the first time it worked because I ran the game on directx11 and saw the setting to turn on directx12 and never ticked it on. @mystic tapir I’m not entirely sure what you mean by as a flag but in the startup properties for the game on steam I have set -dx11 which I’m pretty sure should have it start up in directx 11. When starting the game and it gives the option what version to run of directx I have tried both to select directx 11 for it to run and just to tell it to run and use the default and the game crashes at the exact same point when loading the character into the space station I can start to hear the characters initial voice line then it immediately crashes to desktop

Well... The keyboard itself bit the dust

So the reason DRG killed the keyboard seems to be:

1. The game pulls some load
2. The voltage dips ever so slightly, which crashes the keyboard's processor
3. The keyboard driver crashes
4. Plugging in a new keyboard lets you use it because it's spawning a new instance of the driver process
5. The driver stays trashed until it's rebooted
6. The keyboard's MCU data is corrupted after that

Apparently the dodgy power supply she used to have has done numbers on her SSD and things that were connected to the USB port, which included a speaker and now a keyboard

We will see if my keyboard survives the test

DRG is software and isn’t the first bit of software to place components under full load. Reading the second half would’ve helped. What’s the specific model of psu? I’d be interested in seeing if gamers nexus would test the model. Give another example of one not to buy.

this could be a new windows or driver setting, but i thought i remembered DRG using my gpu instead of Desktop Window Manager. is this normal? and then Desktop window manager cranks my gpu usage to 100% even when in the space rig.

when i close the game, Desktop Window Manager's gpu usage goes back down to near 0%

what's even weirder is when i launch DRG, firefox's gpu usage goes up from 3% to like 30%, which i think is the fault of Desktop Windows Manager.

I checked with other games like Warframe, and everything behaves normally.

Hey all,
DRG has been constantly freezing the last couple of days I've tried playing. I was having some trouble joining a friend yesterday, first a black screen, and then freezing, unfreezing etc, now as soon as I load into the hub, the game totally freezes up, no crash report or anything, just freezes. However, as soon as I press the windows key the game looks to be normal again in the back ground, but as soon as I go back to it, it freezes again. Unable to find any solution online.

Hi All. I'm having some trouble with an issue, support referred me to the discord in the auto-response.

Issue is with playing with friends who are running mods. This was working absolutely fine, until I signed up for a mod.io account, now try what I might I get this error

Following advice online, I have

1 - Removed mod.io folder completely - same
2 - Removed mod.io folder, uninstalled, reinstalled game - same
3 - Disconnected steam account from mod.io, made sure all logged out, same
4 - 2, and 3, all at the same time!
5 - Delete Mod.io account, re-sign up, reconnect everything

No joy at all, I cannot connect to a modded game. When mod.io is connected to my steam account, it also will not pull down any mods I subscribe to.

Any ideas?

I don't want to make a Jira account and don't have permission to post in the "report a bug" channel. However there is a bug that can occur when you bring the space ball into the drop pod. If the player grabs the ball before the hud disappears as the doors close its possible for the player equip their weapon in the drop pod and start shooting. The bug has literally no adverse effects so far as I can tell as the player can't move, damage other players or do anything to stop the mission from loading perfectly normally a few seconds later. Its effectively another how to play space ball tip not included in the instructions.

Not sure if they are related though.

I can't pin point exactly when or why it is happening because it can happen from every 5 minutes to once in 3 hours.
So far I've tried to:

• Update & reinstall my GPU driver
• Running as Administrator & setting the priority to high in the task manager
• Reinstalling the game & deleting all saved files
• Reinstalling the Visual C++ Runtime
• Running the game without any other programs
• Running the game on Win10 and Win7
• Disabling Master EQ in the sound settings
• Setting the graphics to low

My setup is:
Intel i7-4790k 4.00Ghz (not over clocked)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (not over clocked)
Samsung 2TB / Samsung 250GB SSD
16 GB DDR3 RAM

Is there anything I can still try to fix this or anyone I can ask who might have some technical know how on this?
