Had a bug lately, where sound plays when jumping/hitting ground (Like the impact on hitting a platform) only in the left ear. All other audio is totally fine.
I don't know how to replicate the bug, it only happens during missions, not space rig, and stays for the rest of mission.
Seems to happen mostly when jumping, or landing on platforms, if that is anything to go on, happens with all classes.

Issue is basically the same as one mentioned below, but happened earlier as engineer too, so I don't think its class specific #jira-bug-reporter message

Not sure if this would be considered a bug precisely, but I was playing just fine on Season 1 until yesterday, when suddenly, with no other changes, DRG stopped starting up. It gets as far as the pre-lobby loading screen where the all-white dwarf running animation plays, but rather than moving on properly from that the logo and animation just keep getting larger until they suddenly disappear and leave me on a black screen. Validating the files assures me that there's nothing wrong with my game.

Anyone else have any experience with something similar just suddenly happening?

i noticed in the new patch notes that they didnt fix the issue with the smart lock upgrade on the lok1, where if the target has less than one shot's worth of damage left on the total bar, it wont lock in a mass quantity, so you have to unlock, reacquire target, and shoot one individual round

You need to link your discord and join the union to get those roles, which makes a pin for a 'can't join the union' fix in the exclusive union channels completely useless for resolving the problems of people like Draago who can't join the unions

Bosco’s cryo rockets are pretty much equivalent to a cryo grenade. I don’t think they’d break the icicles @subtle jacinth

Worked for me, booted correctly into windowed despite having set it previously to full screen

See if that makes any difference. Doing that has helped me get a few games to boot in the past that were being silly.

@static garden I was having the same issue as you. Black screen on startup, after seeing a loading screen I almost never see. Neither DX11 and 12 worked. What I did to fix it was install a windows update

Not sure if it's worth posting I joined someone's lobby and immediately had a full system crash right after I believe might've been caused by the game which erased my save. I had a backup but I lost hours worth of progress, first time that's happened in my 262 hours of playing

Once, on a sandblasted corridors on an escort mission Molly got stuck and couldn't move. It was in the middle of a drilldozer path and hovered when we broke the ground. At 5 seconds before the drop pod left, the door opened. I guess its to stop cases like this from stopping missions. Management cares after all.

There seems to be a small visual bug with the laser pointer. When you pull it out there seems to be a red dot in the middle before the “laser beam” comes up, it seems to stay even when the line is on.
Usually there is nothing before the lines come up.

ok so uh, got an elimination mission. 1. a node from the hacking thing survived after the hack finished 2. the hiveguard didnt play the intro animation 3. absolutely no sentinels spawned, the hiveguard was invincible 4. the hiveguard wouldnt attack us

Hello! No idea where else to post this but I'm looking for help with an issue I'm having. I've been playing since EA and have racked up about 80 hours in the game. After recently getting a new PC and reinstalling the game I log in to find ALL of my progress is gone. My weapons, upgrades, levels have all been set to 0 like I just started playing. I tried finding my old saves in the previous PC but none of them are correct, all of them having been from 2019 with almost nothing touched save for a few levels in the classes. Why would all my progress disappear from both PCs?

I'm sorry for asking this if it's been answered before, but is there a place I can report a problem that isn't strictly a bug? I noticed today that in the Bestiary entry for Web Spitters, it says they are "Relatively being compared to most of their kin," which doesn't make any sense. I believe it's supposed to read "Relatively benign".
It's not a big deal, really, but I'd like to let the relevant people know.

Like for example I join a session and see mining outcrops that dont actually exist on the hosts side, and so when i mine them, i get nothing.

but that's the thing, When I hosted, the desync happened for my Scout friend. and my Engineer friend couldnt join mid session. They said they were loading infinitely. so they pegged the issue on me. So we ended the mission, and let Engineer friend host. I was able to join Engineer just fine. So when I joined Engineer? I experienced the Desync. but Scout was just fine and

Great to hear. Interesting though regarding the lag. Only "bug" I encountered was, that my driller didn't display to me that he held C4 in his hands (screen was empty despite C4 selected, could be planted/thrown as usual).

I noticed today and yesterday that when shooting the flare gun as scout that the first flare (in the magazine of 3) will randomly be dimmed/used up already when it's first deployed. I'm not sure why this is happening. The only fix I've found is to simply fire another flare which works normally as intended and lights up the room. I tried looking it up in the bug database, but was unable to find anyone mentioning it (as far as I can tell.) Has anyone else experienced this flare gun bug? I feel like screenshots won't help since it will simply look like an expired flare gun flare like any other with no useful visual info, but I can still take screenshots if desired.

Hi I’ve been experiencing audio issues with the game. The audio seems suddenly lacking in bass and I can’t find any way of fixing this in sound settings. I recently updated to Windows 11 so I figured that might have interfered with something, although all the other apps on my pc have fully functional audio. It’s hard to describe but the game sounds kind of like how things sound when you adjust altitudes and everything goes all fuzzy before you yawn.

I can't seem to run the game at all anymore
When I tried to run the game it instantly crashed to desktop, not even getting me to the "Press Any Key" screen

Just had two of the weirdest games ever.

Played escort duty on H4 as scout, close distance
Everything went well till I got grabbed by a leech. After being revived all my equipment was invisible, and I'd have moments where my guns would freeze, I was unable to shoot, reload, pickaxe or anything. Somehow managed to beat it, but once the dozer reached the heartstone the damage indicators stayed at 100%, even after it lost the fist damage stage from a floating rock
Playing as Driller, Mining quota. This one was better, but at one point my guns turned invisible again, but returned a short while later, except for the satchel. Seems they're bugged, as I've noticed only the satchels have been invis before this

The host leaves at the end of the game, at the point where your Exp is counting up.

Anyone else having issue with the music? I miss the epic swarm music... It feels extremely bugged to me. Before the update,.. I used to turn up the volume to a point where I could barely hear my fellow dwarfes anymore and had to shout at them. Now here's a question I have, when playing with other people does anybody else have times where there's a lag spike and then your frames drop around 50% less? Bluetooth headphones, with or without voicemeter banana, when I return from a mission, the game's audio violently pops and crackles, and then gives out completely, crashing the audio input option and rendering it unresponsive and unable to change selections. After that I don't get any audio from in- or out of game until I exit the game.

there's a noticeable delay when interacting with a lot of UI elements (switching perks, weapons mods, opening the escape menu)

Lenovo is a laptop manufacturer. Geforce is a brand from Nvidia which manufacturers GPUs. The manufacturer name has nothing to do with the components placed inside the laptop (aside from integrating the components).
If your laptop lacks a dedicated GPU then you don't meet the minimum system requirements for the game.

Because windows is a shitty operating system and regularly breaks features or resets settings after updates. You'll need to check the nvidia control panel to ensure the correct gpu is being utilized on launch.

There are multiple bugs that affect the Sludge Pump's ability to place puddles (only the single shots as far as I've tested) : shooting the "tip" (or sometimes any part) of some ambient object like the volatile uranium crystals or inert uranium does not produce a puddle.
The pump is already limited ammo wise and it 100% relies on his ability to shoot and forget

Also the projectiles (still talking about the normal shots) will affect the little "living" ambient objects like radipuffs or tumorous growths like it was an enemy wasting the ammo in the process but I might add this in suggestions

Two issues I've had to deal with in my previous OSR game:
DRAK's hit registration as a client with 80+ ping is still horrible, only 75% of the projectiles that hit actually do damage;
Reviving teammates on pipes is practically impossible if they happen to die on a pipe in the middle of a C4-carved tunnel to clear out space.

Anyone else experiencing the hurricane missiles "vanishing" when they hit a target just right? They don't explode or do damage, but simply disappear. I didn't notice it before I put fragmentation missiles on it, but now.it happens fairly frequently. I definitely notice it on bigger targets. Thanks for you help!

Okay, someone please please help. I've posted in the whole confusing Jira thing ever since August, commented on a few related topics, all with no response or success in fixing this. I have 3 achievements that are bugged that have not unlocked for me, and they are "Miner" "Expert Miner" (even though I have "Legendary Miner" unlocked). I also completed my first EDD a few days ago and that achievement did not pop up for me either, even though I got the in game perk points for it. Has anyone had something similar and gotten it fixed?

I'm having stuttering audio problems with realtek dound drivers. I have NVIDIA GeForce 2070, and have tried to change the Engine.ini file, disable eq, re-install, upgrade sound drivers, upgrade win10-> win11.

Hey my brother and i had an Haz bug (It has to be a bug). We played A Misson Haz 3, with gold rush, to maximis the profit we drank a gold beer on top. We startet the mission and the first thing we had to face was a golden Bulk we thought hey nice but we had swarm after swarm and between the swarms we had so much glyphids we couldn't stop to mine anything we survived 35 min and we needed 4 refill pods to hold it so long and at last we had a swarm and a sudden dradnought attack together. As i said it was Haz3 but thats what i think Haz5 should be

Having problems playing the game in 4K on Game Pass. Had issues in the Steam version too but I could find and edit the GameUserSettings.ini file and sort it out. Problem is all my friends play on the Game Pass version and I can't find any saved settings file anywhere, not in WindowsApps\CoffeeStainStudios.DeepRockGalactic_1.34.60832.0_x64__496a1srhmar9w folder or the %localappdata%Packages\CoffeeStainStudios.DeepRockGalactic_496a1srhmar9w\ either.
Can anyone shed some light?
By not being able to use 4K, I mean in the game I select the setting and the screen flickers and ends up back at 1080p. That's in fullscreen mode. In windowed mode or borderless window mode, It'll be a 1920x1080 sized window on my 3840x2160 desktop.
I DO have a second monitor that is at a different resolution. I think this is what causes problems from time to time but I can't fix that.

minigun always had half the firerate. (it also has half the ammo displayed, so that's a little weird they put the real numbers for one but not for the other though...)

And yes, only getting +2, even though it shows +4, is normal (in the case of real stat being displayed)

Make sure the server isn't muted (thx to Chindian for this one !)
You can try using the browser instead of the app (or the other way around)
You can also try having steam and discord running on administrator mode (thx to Marcos for this one !)

keep in mind : the bot is half-broken, so it's only working when it wants to

I currently am on an elimination mission and the Dreadnaught Hiveguard (in the upcoming text referred to as "he") that I spawned seems to be half Steeve. He's not hostile, well at least he hasn't launched an attack in like 5 minutes or so) and just wanders aimlessly around, roughly sticking to the room i am currently in. He also hasn't spawned his Sentinels which makes him practically invulnerable, any Ides why this may have happened?

I think you only get to do a switch so often @coarse hemlock so if you did a switch within the last 12 hours or however long it takes you are not offered another for a little while

Also I wanted to mention an annoying occurrence. On Liquid refining missions, if you have an Enonite Glyphid event while repairs must be made, the bugs will literally bolt to the pipes and ruin the event

not sure if this has been reported, but interrupting the inspect animation of the Lok-1 by either picking up items (Sush as fossils, Boolo caps, Apoca blooms, etc.) and grabbing ledges causes the eye of the gun to float around for a little while

I wonder if anyone could help me with this, as I've tried to troubleshoot it myself but have made no progress. I haven't really been able to play the game since the Halloween event began; at that time my game suddenly began experiencing continuous frame drop and lag all the time. After the large update it seems to have gotten worse. So far I've tried messing with game settings, making sure Windows is up to date, making sure my NVIDIA driver is up to date, completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and even running sfc to look for corrupted Windows files, but none of these have had any effect on this performance issue. Does anyone have any other ideas on how I might fix it?

has anyone else been getting heavy fps drops in specific parts of the game

i get around 96 fps on the spacerig but opening the mission terminal will halve that to 53 fps

then it stays around 77

and in the loadout terminal i get 144 fps but changing any weapon mods or perks will drop it to around 67 then it goes back to 144

Hey guys ! Regarding DRG-4329 in Jira. I had this problem since a very long time, but didn't really notice that it was when swaping weapons. it kind of happen randomly for me. there is always a chance that weapon don't shoot, somthing like 1 on 5 , which really suck. And it happens for me with all character ive played. a Friend reported experiencing the same thing after last update. for info my mouse work perfectly fine so I'm 99% sure it's not hardware related. is it something that is reported alot cuz if there is something I can do to fix that, id' like to know. Also usin controller been having a bug where everytime I go to pick up say a MULE leg, pearl, jadiz, heavy item etc as soon as I press X to pick it up it will spaz pick it up and throw it really fast. This isnt too bad with the minerals but the mule legs go flying into orbit :/

Big bug I encountered during the EDD. my entire team was immune to everything except self damage and the drillers satchel charges during all of stage 2. It ended halfway through stage 3. there was no other oddities and no extra credit or xp payout, and everyone said they weren't hacking.

hey, i've had a few issues since update 35. i used to play on dx11 windows 10 before the update, but, since then, it runs at less than 8 fps whenever i load into the game. i've reinstalled the game multiple times and updated my drivers, but nothing seems to work.

i'm playing on dx12 now, but it randomly crashes to desktop without the crash reporter opening. not sure how to fix it. does anyone have any advice?

yeah as far as I know it ask you to install it to each and every game one at a time if you want too so it would be wierd if it affected another game that it wasnt even installed too. It doesnt affect any game files until you choose to install it to that game... Im trying to google before I report the bug etc.

I just tried something, I had graphics set to high and saw this bug but just changed them to low and its not there it has to be a graphics option doing this in game I think going to play around and see if i can figure it out. EDIT: I have discovered it is the post processing slider that is causing this to happen, when on low it doesnt show up but high you can see the filter I think, Its like the filter is only on the right side and affects things as you turn wierd. at least for now I will turn it on low so I wont see it and annoy me lol.

the first one is ultra setting for post processing slider and second is low setting. I also found an nvidia forum post talking about the same issue im having.

I dont want to continue spamming but after trying a number off things the problem was for some reason the resolution scale was set to 80 percent. I tried everything and when I put that to 100% the problem was solved. I dont know why it was set to default 80% but it fixed my problem? Im wondering if it was some dynamic resolution scaling that i was watching the filter or noticing it somehow but its fixed. Hope it helps someone if they are having the same problem.

Bug\exploit- you can manually put your windows clock forward one day to receive more performance quests. after getting the quest you can set your clock back to its original time and repeat for infinite performance quests (if you have the time to finish them)

If you sweep your cursor quickly from one icon then stop right as you cross onto the next, it will keep the popup for the previous icon. Or something like that.
Did it a few times on purpose after to check.

Once you stop the cursor, you can move it inside that icon without it changing to the correct one. Maybe my low framerate or just how quickly you move from one to the next. It fixes once you move off and back on at a slower speed.

I no longer have any of my current save games. The newest one i have was during one of the experimental tests. Ive lost about 100 lvls, as well as loads of cosmetics, overclocks, and promotions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Has anyone noticed that when you command Bosco to defend the Drilldozer during the escort mission, he will stay nearby it even after you complete the objective? I usually get the primary objective out of the way during escort duty missions and then explore the caves afterwards so I don't need to worry about the drilldozer. Just a little annoying not having Bosco nearby when im exploring because he'll be defending the drill dozer even though the objective is completed.

Randomly it seems like my shield generator just stops working. After deploying and returning its not possible to have it have it charge up and be reusable. There is no charge indicator and you can equip the generator but there is no way to deploy it again.

Hey, I'm sure this has already been covered somewhere, but I can't find it.
I 'joined the union' and picked a union chapter and I saw the chapter goals, but every time I close and reopen the game the screen shows 'Join the Union' again, and I have to use it and accept for it to show my goals again.
And on top of that, my friend says he can't join at all, his screen just shows PSA tips, even though he has discord open and everything.

Online on both Steam and Discord (make sure you're not invisible)
Make sure the server isn't muted (thx to Chindian for this one !)
You can try using the browser instead of the app (or the other way around)
You can also try having steam and discord running on administrator mode (thx to Marcos for this one !)

A dreadnaught randomly spawned in a lobby and for some reason bugged out the match in multiple ways (Didnt attack us, didnt spawn the things you need to kill, stopped just bout all glyphids from spawning, looped the fight audio, and at the end of each loop bugged out the boss health bar)

Had a scrip available and went to unlock a cosmetic on the tree, but the game crashed as I was unlocking the item
Booting the game back up shows that I consumed the scrip but didn't unlock the item

Another thing I wanted to mention is that there doesn't seem to be enough scrips given from the performance pass and season event bonuses, although there are some season challenges that reward scrips
What I want to know is if the crash that consumed the scrip without unlocking anything will affect the ability to unlock the entire tree, or will there be enough opportunities from the season challenges to give extra scrips before the season ends

the pass gives you 71 scrips for a total of 80 rewards. so you just need 9 of those special dailies if you unlock everything else. I think you'll end up with extra scrips tbh

Also, I guess you could try to revert your save back to get that scrip back but you'll likely lose some progress in the meantime so I don't know if it's that worth it
