I turn the game on for the first time, it asks me to delete a save since there is 2, that is fine, I get in and it is making me do conquer hoxxes, I try to load a backup, get stuck on start screen. go back to the save I started with and everything is fixed

I think I may've just accidentally figured out how to fix it! I renamed the saved file on my hard drive, loaded into the game and deleted the new backup that reset everything. Seems to be working so far, though I'm not really a techie person, so hopefully I didn't mess anything up by do that!

there is a visual bug with driller's fuel tank when reloading the flame thrower, the fuel tank will switch back to default color when ejecting and when putting it back in its the default color too until its completely in then it will switch back to the color you have set in the weapon skin

Seems like the granade unlockables is bugged.
My Driller and Scout is promoted and able to unlock new granade.

While my gunner at 25 is not, then i promote him, and then it's available to unlock.

It's either the requirement is changed to promotion. or level requirement is bugged. now my engi can't buy any other granade.

100% confirmed, if you activate character selections before you get updated on a successful mission, you become 100% soft locked and unable to do anything.

When you get updated when your assignment is successful when you finish your mission and activate the terminal before you get the popup screen, you get soft locked.

Stuck on "Press Any Key" screen? Here's what worked for me.

1. Go to .....\Steam\steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\SaveGames and delete (or move somewhere else, like your desktop if you're uncomfortable with this).
2. Start the game, skip the tutorial and spawn on the space rig.
3. Go to options menu (Esc), save menu tab, and click Restore Save
4. Select the save you want to revert to.
5. The game may fade to black and hang. Restarting the client seems to have loaded me back in.

Also a bug with bosco: if commanded to guard the drilldozer, he will stick to it. Any other command you give him, he'll do but will go right back to the drilldozer after, even if the omoran has been extracted. Only way for him to return to normal is by taking lethal damage, triggering his revive.

the framework for the guns is there but the Rival Tech Paintjob for the guns is not showing
I have restarted my game and steam several times and verified and checked if the dlc is checked on in steam properties.

What happened was addressed in my initial reply. The experimental branch is no longer available. You are not on the experimental branch.

Important note: if you are playing for progression - Do it on your main save! Not any other save .

All other saves are way more prone to corruption in cases of crashes.

I did have mods installed also for visual but i had a lot of trouble with startup crashes, On the steam forum i saw someone say to turn of all mods even remove the mod folder, which i did and it did not help that much, if i keep the startup intro running instead of clicking it away it lets me get in the game sometimes (hope this makes sense, My apologies for my english )

Hey there! I seem to be crashing a lot during drilldozer missions. Anytime the drill starts moving, I last about 5-10 seconds before the game crashes and gives me a crash report with a lot of FSD_Win64_Shipping lines. Verified integrity, restarted steam, restarted computer, reinstalled DRG, tried both DX11/12, unsubscribed from all mods, deleted all mods, added the -disablemodding to launch options.

DRG-4089 appears to be the issue I have and the reporter took similar troubleshooting steps but I did not get the crash reporter so hopefully that's it 🙂

Just ran into a huge bug. If you taunt while picking up an oil shale cannister, it will cause the cannister to disappear and will softlock the mission causing you to HAVE to restart the mission

In short, if you do Rock and Stone, you will not be coming home.

I found a steam community link for restoring progression, but it involved using local backups. All my local backups also updated today for some reason and none of them have my progression on them. And had the framework for the weapons but could not find the Rival Tech Paintjob for the weapons.
Then sudenly i saw it the default paintjob had a marking on it and when i hovered over it it said Rival tech ....

Sorry, I misunderstood, although I have seen this bug occur in the experimental branch. I couldn't find any documentation on the bug but it seems to do with the addition of Rival Tech. It became unusable shortly before some final patches and the update had gotten pushed out. I haven't found a way to reproduce it either (frames and skin had gone missing. I found things worked normal after a restart)

hey so I updated the game today and since then, the screen has been going black randomly, both in the space rig and in missions. It says in the patch notes that reviving teammates was prioritized over other actions on the interact key, but it seems like the exact opposite is true. Every time someone has been downed on top of a pipeline or near a resupply etc. I've had to find an angle where I'm only looking at them to revive them.

Reinstalling the game did the trick for me. It also fixed my issue with not being able to press the escape button in lobby with a risk of game freeze

Gmornin' lads! Since the update hit I tried launching the game but it crashes instantly. I've tried running on DX11 (DX12 is not supported by my system), verified the game files and ultimately reinstalled the game with no luck. Can I do sth else? Does this count as a bug?

If you wanna go through the hassle of trying to recover it, you can try to create a new, fresh save. Once the new save is loaded, you can open the Restore Save menu and see if you can locate your old secondary save somewhere in the list. If you then select it, it will overwrite the new save you just created with the old one.

Especially something as fundamental as an OS. And so far DRG was the only piece of software that gave me trouble (due to presumably old drivers). However: I rarely buy new games so ... there's the reason for that.

If the assignment mission completed screen is up, any mission control voicelines get queued, all playing one after another when the mission complete screen is closed. Mainly barrel and grav recalibration, but anyway.

I have an Problem with the engineer. The grenades are not getting opened to buy them. The have the icon "need lvl 5" and "need level 10" above them and its written not free. I am unable to unlock the Pheramone Grenade, which is available for thr Scout at lv10, despite the fact that my Scout is lv20

My scout was already past lv10 before the update, so I wasn't sure if it was because of that or if levelling a character up would also not allow you to get the grenades

yes it did not free them leveling up
