When opening the settings menu, my fps drops to about 1/10th of what it was before hitting escape (e.g. it will go from ~125 fps down to ~10 fps). Is there any way to make menus not completely drop performance?

Greetings! Is this a bug?

I started a mission. When I arrived, I could hear BET-C yelling, so I knew she was in my future. Before I found her, I found a pickaxe-charging core infuser thing. The challenge that attracts the bugs with extra armor? Well! When I defeated that, it did the explosion which kills all area bugs. That explosion also completely defeated BET-C. Her noise changed to the defeated noise right after the explosion finished. Grabbed my core, kept heading down the tunnel, and found her about 33m below the core infuser. Fixed her up, and finished the mission.

So, is the core infuser's end explosion supposed to kill everything in the entire mission? Should it be able to insta-defeat BET-C? Feature, or bug? (not complaining, mind you)

She was probably in the radius and the wipeout that machine events release got her. Dunno if its a bug but it could be, but i could also seeing it not be

Kinda what I thought, but I wasn't sure. Also thought it was strange that it insta-killed her, since she's generally invulnerable until you actually wake her up, which I hadn't done yet lol

the only thing i did differently the day it became stuck like this is that i changed from windowed to windowed fullscreen

so i put the lunch command -windowed in steam and no difference

also tried to do a safe mode boot in steam launch options

now id dont have any a just have my fan speed boosted but i tried to run the vanilla cnofig and nothing changed

As for that bug. You're more than welcome to #420195388675588096 if you think it is one. It's probably more of an oversight with the shockwave at the end of a machine event killing everything within a set horizontal radius.

Honestly the only other large server I'm part of is one of the Pokemon Go ones, where mods are dark green, and everyone else is either blue, red, or yellow

Okay, so as a "Community Tester," you help test the game for bugs @austere coral. In your opinion, do oversights = bugs? Not trying to be annoying at all, I just don't know if I think it's a bug or not, hence asking here. I thought it was odd, yes, but it didn't crash the game or anything, so it's not obvious to me if it counts as a bug or not.

i havent played in a while and i noticed, the engineer PGL seems to have the same bug the gunner shield had a while back - when you switch to it theres a small delay before you can fire

very common, the usual fix is just to carve out the terrain from underneath where her pathing gets messed up, and that usually works to reroute her

Huuli Hoarders needs to be revised: Some projectiles, such as Impact Axes and EPC Plasma Bolts, go through it like it's not there.

Did an ebonite core event and nearly no ebonites spawned. We spent a long time between them spawning, where we were constantly being swarmed by glyphids- mostly guards and a few slashers. It was very strange.

Somebody else in the stream said it happened to them as well.

I do not have 100% verification, as some appeared through a narrow cavern. some of them may have spawned elsewhere and took too long to get to us. If thats the case, that sucks.

Yeah, its a known issue with any kind of spawning
I.E hiveguards, machine events.. Just know your not the first to have something like this happen.

its a known bug, pod will open by itself around the 1 minute mark. sometimes you can dig out the mule and that works

Just had a bug where after getting to the dropped at 3 minutes and waiting for my friends while very low on ammo, at 30 seconds I suddenly fell through the floor and couldn't get back in. I passed through the ramp as well and when ziplining to the back of it I passed right through

I should have started recording but was too busy trying to get back in.

had a similar issue as wornkyjr myself except my resolution was setting steam to display me as online and allowing steam to show my game details with friends in the privacy. might not be the issue for you wornky but worth a quick look just in case (the setting should also be checked by your friend too on their end)

have you tried to host a public lobby and have your friend connect then privatize it after they join? also, if that doesn't work, have your friend try it on their end as well?

found some notes of people saying they successfully join half the attempts by restarting the game until it "magically" works. not the first time I heard of a technicality where this was a temporary work-around.

you don't need to have them linked

you need :

• To be on Steam
• Online on both Steam and Discord
• You can try using the browser instead of the app (or the other way around)
• You can also try having steam and discord running on administrator mode (thx to Marcos for this one)
• If nothing work, check this message : #drg-chat message

• Bot is half-broken, so it's only working half of the time

Hello guys, I joined the discord today following a bug that I encountered. Indeed, I have +300hours experience in DRG. This morning, I launched a game and it block during to join a server. I was force to reboot my PC. When I came back and started the game

Have the same issue on Xbox One / Xbox series X multi-player session ended banner pops up and won't go away, you can get passed this by rapidly pressing A, B, X, Y, and the start button but then you'll be unable to play using any multi-player services

There's a limited outage affecting Halo 5 Guardians and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. Because DRG is a relatively small game, they may be affected by the outage and not reported. Give it an hour or two for Microsoft to resolve this issue.

Found a bug and reported it.
Was a typo.
Go to options, save menu, then press save current, then name the save the same as your active save.
A message appears about how naming it that way ->"wil "<- OVERWRITE the active save. That's where the typo is

Sounds like something breaking and windows bringing up an error message that you can't navigate to.

That shouldn't be possible in the vanilla game. Any pipes in the way of the drop pod are destroyed when it lands. All pipes kinda need to be connected to the wells in order to even call the pod to begin with.

Hey, I think there's a small bug with inverting the thumbstick for playing with a controller. When you check the box it also inverts your vertical mouse look, and there's no way to de-couple it. I sometimes play with M+KB, but occasionally I'll throw DRG onto the TV and play from the couch, where I play inverted on a controller. Is this intentional behavior? It's a little annoying to have to go into the options to switch between inverted and default whenever I go back and forth between them.

Hey, I'm having issues with multiplayer on Deep Rock. It will not allow me to invite or join my friends. Delete all files in the SaveGames folder
Relaunch the game
Exit the tutorial
esc > options > restore save

Alternatively you could identify the active save you were using. Rename it to match your ###_Player.sav exactly after deleting your original ###_Player.sav (while making a backup before hand)

Well, I did the first step, and it worked! There was no tutorial to do though and in-game, when I go to the saved files, i don't see the one that says Main Save anymore. I'm hoping that's not an issue. I'm not sure how the game opened when I deleted all the files, and it opened to my most progressed savefile without having to move anything back into that folder. A client-side bug with the tritilyte deposite machine event. A high ping client trying to grab a throwable bomb from the machine event but it explodes before he does on the host machine will put the client in a permanent state of having something grabbed and will permanently slow him. Haven't tested if grabbing something and letting go of it fixes the issue. Dying doesn't, using a zipling doesn't. In the picture, the player is seen holding nothing after trying to grab the bomb, which is how the glitch is triggered.

Has anyone had issues with abnormally high CPU temperatures in Deep Rock compared to other games? I push ~95 degC with an Intel Core i7-11850H on ultra settings, but I push ~85 degC in Overwatch on ultra for example. I have ran both ultra and low settings. I cannot seem to find a settings config that takes some of that heat off

You're comparing apples to oranges. Different games utilize hardware differently especially if their engine isn't the same. DRG tends to need a lot more cpu resources than other games though. It doesn't help that laptop cooling is generally mediocre at best.

Been looking around google for a while to try and find a solution, running into a bug where the game will begin to load on the correct monitor, however, will switch to my secondary monitor and I can not for the life of me get it to return to the correct monitor. I have verified that the monitor I want it on is marked as monitor 1 and is my main display, I have tried the WIN + Shift + Left/Right arrow key as well as putting the game into windowed mode, dragging it to the correct display and changing it back to full screen. Hello again. Clip of an old issue I've always struggled with, but a few games ago it got really bad.
I've tried changing my graphics, updating my drivers, but nothing seems to improve. (I have a theory that it has something to do with lights and reflections, but I don't know)
This happens most often with using the Fatboy, explosives and anything with lights on them, like sentry guns or Molly.
I really want to know if there's anything I can do for this because it really hurts my experiences with DRG (and my eyeballs), and it seems to happen every other mission now.

i just experienced a very weird bug thats gonna take a while to describe
so my friend was trying to dig as far down as possible and eventually he hit compressed granite, eventually while he was digging he clipped out of bounds (we werent really surprised because at that point the game was being very glitchy) but instead of being teleported back in bounds he kept falling eventually around 800 meters below the map he completely dissapeared he did not show up on laser pointer and was not on terrain scanner but the game showed him as still alive on the hud, on his screen he was in a completely black room and could not move or do anything. eventually we discovered he was in the starting room and we backtracked to there, and we found that he was invisible we could not see him nor interact with him but he could see us. after a bit of testing we found that his camera was floating in the middle of the drop pod hole during all of this he was able to type in chat. eventually we called the drop pod and when all of us got in except him the pod left even though the hud showed him as alive, on the end screen it showed him as dead. sorry if this is kinda rambling i just wanted to describe it

I had it get stuck 2 times in an escort duty mission in azure weald, one time stuck on a spot where the drilldozer made a small divot in the ground and the other the mule paced back and forth and had nothing wrong with the ground, both times destroying the terrain underneath it fixed the issue

I can't find any cases for the bug where picking up an object like an Aquark or mini-mule leg causes you to immediately throw it. I'm planning on trying to reproduce so I that I can submit one, but curious if anyone else might have had footage or experience it? Both me and another team member have had issues on xbox with it. Very frustrating when you chuck a leg off a cliff when it was right near a mule.

I've seen this happen reliably when picking up and depositing more than one large object in a row. e.g.:

• 2 gunk seeds on ground next to molly
• Pick up first gunk seed
• Deposit it
• Immediately pick up 2nd gunk seed and try to deposit it
• Dwarf tosses it away instead of depositing it

I've also had it happen when trying to attach more than one mini-mule leg in quick succession (basically same game mechanic as depositing)

Only seen it as client, though. I think it's a client / host update lag thing

I haven't filed a bug on it, if you do, @ me and I'll add to it

It could have been the source of your problem. DX12 is known for being unstable on older machine and glacial strata (the biome for the EDD) often cause crashes with DX12 because of the light reflection

I thought that could have been the source of your problem but we won't be able to test that sadly

Feel free to ask around about that crash into #xbox-and-windows-store though, maybe they could have more info that i don't have personally

This bug still active. If you search "in:gallery maggot" you will notice they always face 220 degrees when they are frozen in place. Usually only in the starting room the other rooms that generate after the starting room seem to have maggot AI active.

I am hoping this is an easy fix, but for about 2 weeks now I have not been able to join mulitplayer games with friends via Steam. Whether using the "join game" option with a specific friend playing, or with direct invites from each of the players in the game I want to join. I have disabled my firewall with the same results. I have also uninstalled and installed Steam and DRG. In addition, this happens whether in DRG, or the DirectX11 or DirectX12. Sorry for the longer message here.

you need :

• To be on Steam
• Online on both Steam and Discord (make sure you're not invisible too)
• You can try using the browser instead of the app (or the other way around)
• You can also try having steam and discord running on administrator mode (thx to Marcos for this one)
• If nothing work, check this message : #drg-chat message
• Or this one : #interplanetary-miners-union message
• Bot is half-broken, so it's only working half of the time

Done. I cannot transition to a different time server, I have to use time.windows.com (to the best that I can tell)

@austere coral tried the sync and then tried to join a friend's game via Steam friends list and via a direct invite - sadly neither worked. I appreciate the idea. TY

even when i try the big server list

my esc screen has disband party that just resets me but still remains the same, i also have friends only ticked off but when i disband party again it sets it back to friends only

fixed it ty, think my internet tripped for a tiny second while the game launched, and since i'm playing via geforce it couldn't reconnect

after making sure connection was proper and restarting, servers started showing up again!

I found some swarmers that were permanently frozen by one of those tunnels that shoots a cold breeze. Aren't they supposed to shatter shortly after being frozen?
