I played the game on game pass and then bought it on steam, the game stopped working on both versions so I returned the steam version, uninstalled all copies of the game and re installed just the game pass version and it no longer works

I've tried everything and nothig works

can you try a different gpu. the 3080 had issues with the clock going too high and the capacitors freaking out because of noise and crashing straight to desktop

Valve really needs to redo its menu layout. It's incredibly poor. You need to open your friends list for some reason. Click the gear icon which will open up settings. Voice tab. Adjust default input/output device and their respective volume.

For me, the game would start and function fine, it would only turn to black when I went to options and messed with the Frame Rate. So, I left the frame rate alone, reinstalled and it worked fine from there.

Could try deleting your saves after you back them up as there is a very rare serialization issue (which doesn't seem to be the case as it wouldn't load the lobby), or somehow the configuration file got screwed and is trying to get way too much FPS.
Disabling Nvidia Ansel, or master equalizer. I used to have a similar issue with the Windows Store version where my computer would literally cease to function like 30s into the lobby.

I've had a lot of issues with that particular game version when it first came out, it got a lot better with the switch from UWP to whatever the current multiplayer system is (forgot).

Just downloaded the game on Gamepass (for PC). I was able to do the tutorial mission, but it then crashed in the loading screen afterwards. And it's now crashing to desktop (no crash reporter displayed, etc) when I try to open it.

I have added anti-virus exclusions and reinstalled but no effect.

Any suggestions? Is there a crash report somewhere that I should be checking?

I just think that drg should focus more on optimizing performance (and balance gameplay) than add more features. They added new ennemies, biomes and missions in the last big updates. I think it would be wiser to work on system optimization next. That's just my humble opinion.

Apparently a bug happened in my save game and it irked me out for a whole week.

Most of the times when I opened the game, a barrel will spawned inside the launch bay and it irked mission control. (like opened the game/disband and mission control immidiate talked about a barrel in launch bay)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. As a Scout, equip the Jury-Rigged Boomstick and apply the Special Powder overclock as well as as much ammo and reload time upgrades as you can. Firing speed also helps.
  2. Start a Salvage Mission. Biome seems to be irrelevant.
  3. Locate the Drop Pod and scan the area above the drop pod - if you see Unknown Material at the ...

Is someone else experiencing extreme lags/teleporting since the last big update? Before the update the game ran smoothly and perfect. Since the update I experience extreme teleporting and I was not able to find a solution for this. I have no probs in the rig. When I host I don't have this problem, only when I join other players. The fps are always good... but I get teleported no matter which ping I have. I'm running a win10 system with a GeForce 1080, 16 GB RAM and i7-4930K. My graphics settings are set to mid/high. I suggest it has to do something with the update since it occurred right after installing it. I deleted the game multiple times, also the the left files on the drives after de-installation, and installed it on other hard drives. I have a 250 Mbit connection. I think it has something to do with the p2p connection. I'm trying to get behind this for weeks. I don't want to annoy you guys.. I know you have enough to do. Just if someone has an idea please tell me =).

He can play a solo mission but when I join him (or anybody) it will not allow us to start a lobby together and an error pops up saying "no information available" when he tries to join me it says "online communications has been restricted on this account"

I think you can just buy it as a gift, and save the code for 24-ish hours from now, and have them redeem it when it's over

I'm probably in the wrong menu (and also maybe the wrong chat), but I can't figure out how to rebind controller buttons on PC- couldn't find, then couldn't rebind the Push-To-Talk button if there was one on controller.

When this happens, you can leave molly behind and go straight to the drop pod. The doors open automatically when there's about 15 seconds left on the clock so you can go inside and escape.

not sure if it's a known bug or not - a friend and i played together today (i was host) and i didn't get any xp (level 8), though he got from level 2 to level 17 instantly with 17k xp as reward. (it had double xp modifier, 75% difficulty, 15% from the larva spawning debuff, whatever xp % playing together gives)

Also, on the moley getting stuck bug, ive had that happen a handful of times. Another way to fix it is blowing up the terrain molly is walking on with and explosive to update the pathing. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesnt

I think I encountered the strangest bug, we thought we were softlocked, it almost seems like the game was still loading despite us already being in the mission, molly couldn’t move and was just walking in place, couldn’t call it either, and there was no music

I think it's a deliberate decision since physics is only disabled when the cable is extended.

Just had an interesting bug. Carried Doretta's head to the drop pod which places it against the wall inside the pod. Once I did this it duplicated the head so I had one correctly resting against the wall and another one I could pick up again

For about half a year now i am unable to play the game.
My problem: Everytime i launch the game i can get to the startup info screen without any problem.
After that and during the first loading screen the games process will almost instantly freeze.
My CPU usage will also start going up to 99.9% forcing me to kill the process via task-manager before my whole computer freezes.
Tried pretty much all the regular trouble shooting options so far.

I had an occurence of an invincible hiveguard: after putting it bellow 33% hp, it didn't spawn sentinel (as it's supposed to), deployed it's "guills" (the 3 "shields" before uncovering its weakspot), and stop taking damage alltogether.

you are able to destroy the first cable wail a team mate constructs the second part allowing you to duplicate the cable , if you connect both cables the fuel cells it wont allow construction

Wait, Hm figured out a weird thing with it. Shows dark future skin on other armors but when I select the dark future chest armor it disapears and goes to blank skin and no Dark Future skin is available

You won’t see it in the pool of paint jobs if you are wearing it, as it’s already the default paint for dark future

Yeah each dwarf have their own version of the armor. Some I like, some I don't. It's all a matter of taste. Don't worry tho, plenty of cool armor in the game 😄

@silk heart If your bug was marked as resolved in Jira, it has likely been resolved internally and will be fixed next time we push out an update.
@limpid island @exotic tide Try to disable your anti-virus temporarily and see if that resolves your issue. Issues like that are indicative of a conflict between your game and our backend.

Alright, first crash happened after mission completed and I spawned back to the main lobby/space station and I walked out of the bedroom. Second crash happened when I was in an Escort Duty mission and I walked towards to Doretta. Nothing to trigger any voiceline by my actions.

For the first one, this seems to be the faulty code line, from here on, a certain pattern is repeated, as if it was a loop that just could not be completed

@dapper venture, I'd recommend that you all press the button that says "disband team" and then try to connect again

Another cause of the issue might be that there could've been a hotfix released, and if you're not in the same hotfix, you won't be able to connect to each other

Usually the "multiplayer session ended" is related to promoting, if someone promotes they need to disband the team right after, or else no one will be able to connect to the game of the recently promoted dwarf, giving the "multiplayer session ended" screen

After pressing the discord join button, steam will pop out a starting game window only thought the game is already start. Guys please help my friend :c

@trim bone Exactly the same. Both times I used the C4 to destroy it's 3 weakpoints, and nothing spawned.
The third time I tried the DD, I used an engineer and it worked, even thought I had to wait a few minutes for the last sentinel to spawn.

Guys, sometimes my mouse button doesn't release, it's as if my mouse is stuck holding it down. It's only in DRG, so I can rule out that it's my mouse. When I press right mouse button it will stop holding it down. I tried fullscreen mode and a different USB port, as well as restarting and updating my system. All threads I can find about it are 1 year old suggesting the same two things....
