So recently I started getting loot claim issues with the cargo crates and lost equipment, where there are sometimes, not all the times, but sometimes where I don't get anything when I claim the loot, is this a known issue? I know that I have all the pickaxe parts by now, but I for sure do not have all the victory moves and weapons skins yet, and for some reason once I got all the pickaxe parts the lost eq and cargo crates started bugging out for me every now and then

@sturdy silo This is a common issue on Thursdays. Someone on the group had some kind of time issue with their windows settings. This results in one or more people seeing one weeks dive while (the host most likely) seeing another weeks (typically the previous one). You'll have to redo the dive.

I am not sure if this should go into the bug discussion or not... I have 2 frequent problems. I bought the game through the windows store and I have frequent lag/disconnects ONLY when I join a mission. (The steam version ran flawlessly for me) Sometimes when a disconnection occurs the only way I can get the public games to load is by restarting the game. All my other games seems to run okay, my internet is okay (im up in the mountains)

@plain dove I had the exact same thing happen, DRG-1522. Same issue as described (although I haven't purchased any add-ons other than supporter edition from months ago). I was fiddling around with weapons and the neon band framework on the revolver disappeared. It has not returned even after hotfix. In fact, I think mine vanished after the date the hotfix went out.

When ever I launch Deep rock galactic, process of DRG stops responding, i see a running man and then black screen. (this doesnt happen with any other game, including online games from steam).
I already reported my problem here and all the solutions failed so far, including trying to reinstall DirectX.
However now when I started windows in safe mode, I saw this message when launching DRG (screenshot below)
This makes me think that the problem is still in DirectX, but i just dont know how to fix it.
I was told to go to the Microsoft website and update DirectX, however when ever I download dxwebsetup.exe and run it, it says I already have the latest version of DirectX. I also tried updating my windows, didnt help.
Do you have any ideas about how can I fix it?
(i tried other solutions like reinstalling the game and steam, switching off AV and Firewall, scanning with sfc /scannow and chkdsk /f /r E: , starting with "-dx12")

Hey, I'm having issues with DRG lately. I updated the new graphics driver (446.14) but I had to rollback because of the fps drop and any game I play it crashes. Another one was that I had to decrease my GPU's memory clock and clock speed in order to not crash the game.

On everything that isn't salvage, the pod will open with 10-15 seconds remaining. ||The #changelist-only-for-experimental-branch has a fix for molly not entering the pod on salvage. ||

My friend is on PC on the Windows 10 version of DRG. He's unable to connect to any multiplayer games - the only way it works is if he uninstalls and reinstalls DRG every time we want to play together. If he doesn't do this he gets the "Multiplayer Session Ended" error. Anyone have insight on a permanent fix for this?

I purchased Deep Rock Galactic earlier tonight, through Steam, but the game just won't launch for me. When I click play it says it's launching (the button in the steam UI changes to "stop"), and then after ~5 seconds the button switches back to "play". No error is shown, and no window ever launches. In Task Manager I very briefly get a subprocess running under the Steam process for Deep Rock Galactic, but it sticks around for less than a second. My machine well-exceeds the minimum requirements for the game.
Troubleshooting steps I've already taken to try to isolate the issue:
-Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
-Used the Steam file integrity verifier to confirm the install was good
-Restarted my computer
-Turned off my firewall
-Changed wireless networks back and forth between my 5ghz and 2.4ghz bands
-Ran windows update
-Ran DxDiag to confirm I have and am up to date with direct x 12
-Added -dx12 launch argument
-Turned off Steam Cloud synchronization for Deep Rock Galactic
I didn't find any crash logs in the game's directory structure, so I have nothing helpful there either. I checked the common crashes thread on the forums but it doesn't have much help for the case where the game just never launches.
So, I'm completely out of troubleshooting techniques at this point. Might be time to just request a refund and give up my space dwarf dreams?

When joining a spacerig, if they ordered beer before you joined, the beer is invisible.
I could not interact with bartender, because of this. Someone went and took the invisible beer and drank it. Bartender was available after that. Happened twice now.

My computer just hard crashed when playing this game, I think it's a hardware issue on my end. But I see other people are having it to. I'm running a stress test with 3d mark, and its good so far. Is anyone else having the issue of the computer suddenly shutting down when playing DRG?

I found out what it was, it was Amd Link, I turned it off on my phone and it it stopped hard crashing.
I think AMD link causes the pc to chug.
I need to test it in valorant, I was having similar issues.

2 year old bug: Friendly AI is more of a hinderance than a benefit.
Expected behaviour: AI helps the team accomplish objectives and fight hoards.
Actual behaviour: AI's benefit is negligible, and in many scenario's is either frustrating, or game ending.
Examples: Steve sit ontop of a team mates corpse. Team mate can not be revived quickly enough to deal with the difficulty of H5 due to "pet steve" being prioritised over the downed dwarf.
Molly gets in the way / sits in the entrance of a dirtpatch when dwarfs are trying to move through.
BetC walks over the top of dwarves and pushes them around when randomly pathing, generally gets in the way of dwarf business, or will teamkill dwarves with grenades. (low damage is still damage)
Proposed solution: Delete all friendly AI entities or work on them sufficiently that they are less of a hinderance/frustration to gameplay. Currently they are not bringing anything to the team and I would prefer that betc would not be revived, however if you are forced to kill her she will cry for the entire game, which you can hear through the entire map. The only way to not be annoyed by BetC's cry or her friendly AI is to simply avoid her entirely. Please fix.

anyone know what could have caused me to get barrel kicker ? (it is the one for 10 barrels in the hoop without a miss), multiplayer section, that day I only kicked barrels around the spacerig, and one time another player was kicking barrels in the hoop while I was below the hoop, kicking the barrels that missed, I don't remember well when I got it, but I even think it was during regular barrel kicking, which makes sense, since I thought it was something for kicking barrels on the rig 100 times or something

That's probably an overheating issue then. Disable any overclocks you may have on your gpu or cpu and check that your fan curves are setup correctly and that they're providing adequate cooling at high temperature.
A straight shutdown while playing games or using any other high workload application is typically a sign that your part is unable to keep itself cool and exceeds thermal limits. So it shuts itself down to prevent damaging any parts on the circuit board.

I did the tweak suggested and I uninstalled Vanguard, the intensive anti-cheat by Riot for Valorant, I managed to play a mission okay, I'll try some more. I need to play other games if it does thesamething.

Wouldn't surprise me. It's an anti cheat with kernel level access that is always running.
Actually some quick searching and it seems you're not alone. Their anti cheat is crashing some computers when the user is running normal software.

Yeah, I don't know anything about kernels or anything like that, but I know it's trouble when I skimmed an article on what Vanguard was doing. But it may not be it, I need to play other intensive games, and check my fans. But usually there's a beeping that happens when things overheat.

I thought it was my PSU. Yeah it sucks, I uninstalled it. I may install it again if DRG doesn't crash, and double check. Then find out how to send a bug report to Riot. I hope it isn't my motherboard or psu though. Thouh, I do need to upgrade my PC, especially the CPU I have an i5-6600k.
Thanks for all the help, but that anti-cheat is kind of nuts. A friend told me that Activision is just requiring two step verification via phone, and then if you're hacking the number is blocked. I suppose that isn't enough for Riot.

each stage of elite deep dive when drop pod land, 1 people will stay at bottom of drop pod, either die or undie

Can we PLEASE restore the spawn rate for Kursite Glyphids/Mactera or buff their spawn frequency? They spawn NOWHERE near often enough and I have had multiple cases on squads of all sizes and difficulties where we run out of time due to them not spawning enough, if at all (Had 11/13 in a game there with 30 seconds on the clock, no more spawned, time ran out.)

So, I was playing earlier today and my computer blue screened while playing the game. Now, I think said blue screen has corrupted my game. Three times in a row, my DRG has mysteriously crashed early into missions for no apparent reason. Would uninstalling and reinstalling the game be a good fix for what I think are corrupted files?

Right click on Deep Rock, Properties, Local Files, Verify integrity.
Depending how steam does it I assume it compares (hashes) your local files to the ones that it should be. If they mismatch, steam downloads that file.

@young solar It's more likely that some files in system32 may have been damaged when your computer blue screened. Run a surface scan to verify those files aren't corrupted. A quick google will get you the steps necessary to do it. You may also want to reinstall your graphics drivers, do a clean install.

Hey, I bought the game earlier today and I seem to be getting a similar bug to DRG-1488 in jira search, the video freezes/becomes 1frame a minute while audio and input still works. I use a Radeon R9 like the fellow in the bug report so may be related? Is there a fix for this?

well i downloaded epic store and it says i don't have unreal engine installed, so I am installing it now 11.5 gb could take a while though, but if it fixes this annoying crashing great,

@undone folio your problem might also come from the game trying to use integrated graphics instead of your graphics card, try changing the settings for the selected card

I was playing the game fine until I updated my nvidia driver this morning, I just rolled it back and it crashed again. I have ticked all those boxes three times over, changed a whole bunch of settings now, removed all my overclocks etc, loose end now.
Went into bios and disabled intergrated grx there.

Just experience a bug in an extraction mission with the oxygen debuff. While I was on the mine head I was not receiving oxygen. Would post a clip but i'm having issues trying to record the bug.
Here is the clip i'm starting to guess that because bugs were on the platform I wasn't receiving oxygen and sorry for my language.

So I just started playing a couple days ago. I can join other people's Haz4 missions but can't create my own. I have an assignment to unlock Haz5 but joining other Haz4 doesn't count against it, and I can't create my own so I can't advance it at all. Is this a bug? I neglected to snip my crash log, but for anyone who was talking with me the other day, I'm still running into problems with DRG. It's a long story, but after some blue screens and reinstalling my audio/graphics drivers, DRG is still crashing mysteriously.
The most recent message listed some things such as audio and kernal32 I think. Since the file integrity check says everything's a-ok, I'm wondering if just uninstalling and reinstalling the game is a valid option, or if it's something else. Since scans don't say anything is corrupted, I'm not sure what to try first

If that doesn't work you may want to some software from microsoft to repair directx.

So a couple things i've got going on that i haven't been able to find any information on is I have unusually poor performance when running in 4k and i always get framerate dips when i'm around the drop pod.
I'm running and i7 9700, a 1070, 32 gb of ram... it's a high end machine, i shouldn't be having issues like this. Any ideas?
The framerate dips around the drop pod happen in lower resolutions too and 4k issues persist even if i take all the settings to their minimums but i can run max on everything at 1080p with no issues aside from the drop pod

Because if it isn't then your issue is DRG-1494 and if it is there's nothing I can do to help you at the moment. Although I have a theory it's windows installs missing directx 9 or earlier.

When I boot up DRG my screen goes completely black after the logos and initial load. I get to the welcome screen, and that's when it stops. It also gives me 'no signal detected' on my monitor. When I hit alt+tab, everything comes back and I see DRG running in the behind the window.
When launched in full screen it jacks up my resolution so my desktop doesn't fit.
When launched in windowed it changes nothing on my resolution.
Both have the game stretched out to a larger resolution as well.
Drivers are up to date, only thing I've changed is adding a microphone and I moved my computer to a different room. This is the only game that does it.

Restart your computer.
Place -dx12 into launch options and see if that lets you get into the game. It's not officially supported and will introduce graphical bugs. If you can get in the game then go ahead and remove it from launch options.
Run a SFC scan in command prompt.
Restart your computer.

Has anyone said anything about problems with RX 5700 drivers and the game? because As soon as it gets past the loading screen into the characters dorm the screen doesn't even finish fading in before the game hangs. I verified game files and they are fine. It might be a driver issue but was wondering if others are having problems.

You may want to look into using DISM to do a more thorough scan and repair of your system. Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with this method.

Just got done with a dreadnought hunt and the gunner on our team had an insane rate of fire which melted each dreadnought in seconds even though we were on haz 5, he said it was a auto-clicker that worked specifically with the minigun and I'm just wondering if that's true and some kind of bug or he was just flat out cheating.

That might be possible, because on the Cryo gun I've noticed that you can actually click the mouse button over and over to make it fire much much faster than the regular rate of fire. Maybe that works on the minigun too?

Failed a tower event, and a sound from the tower went on a loop and never ended. Was right next to the droppod in a salvage mission, so had to listen to that sound for the rest of the game.

Yeah, you can make the lead storm shoot faster with auto clicking, it also sounds awesome as the person shooting it. It just messes with your heat levels pretty quick iirc.

I purchased the game about a week ago, and have noticed that sometimes, i am unable to fire my weapon or swing my pickaxe. When this occurs, i can both click the mouses several times, or hold it down, and nothing will happen. The only way to fix it is either to switch my weapons, which seems to fix it, or wait for 5-10 seconds and it will fix itself.
is this a bug anyone else has encountered, or could it possibly be client related? for further information, my mouse is perfectly functional

Ok so I've just experienced a bug. I was playing engineer and trying out the "RJ250 Compound" overclock for the first time on the grenade launcher (in case it's relevant my mods are 3,3,2,2,2) and that's the overlock is the only difference in setup for me than usual. I put a sentry down and once it got to 0 ammo I reloaded it. It went to 10 ammo in the sentry and I had 0 ammo in reserve. At first I thought that was it but I realised in the middle of a wave I had put down all my proximity mines but had 9 left. I kept throwing them and found that I just had infinite grenades.

@potent nymph hey. you told me to google how to fix my "DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine". I tried everything, still It didnt work. On one forum they provided a link to download DRG from outside of steam, I did it and it works just fine. (i cant connect to servers, but I can play solo). I deleted it already, since I don't want to be playing any unofficial games.
I think it proves the point that everything is fine with my DirectX, drivers etc. It's a connection issue or maybe my save files are corrupted

@bright wraith perhaps you can look into some of the basic connection issue fixes, like making sure windows defender is on, your using ipv4, your antivirus isnt blocking any DRG /FSD files

I will try. But about save files, if they are for what ever reason corrupted, is there a way to at least start with a new safe file? Starting from zero is better than nothing ...
p.s. it tried starting backups already, the game doesnt launch with all 3 of the savefiles that are in SaveGames folder

I usually join via the server list. It's a standard Xbox crash loud burrrrrrr sound, it drops me on the dashboard and the game closes.
My friends have also mentioned crashing when directly joining each other as well however.

Found another bug, I 'died' in the lobby, in a sense like you die durring a mission. You can jump between other dwarfs to watch them, you are appearing on red but you can't be revived.

Hi everyone, I have a problem with multiplayer. When a friend joins my lobby, everything lags with him, but after a while time, everything is normal. One later after some time, or if it starts during the mission wave, then it disconnects. Also during a mission it is impossible to damage mobs, only bombs can do it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Not exactly a bug, but I'm getting a crash at launch error any time I open the game. All drivers updated, tried verifying the game's integrity, reinstalling after deleting everything, restarting my pc, all the works. But keeps crashing right at launch.
This happened after a geforce update I'm pretty sure.
Found a workaround if anyone has the same issue, I forced the game to open with directx12 by typing "-dx12" in the game launch settings

Heyo, I'd report this as a bug but I don't have a lot of information surrounding the event. I play on the PC microsoft store version and I just got DC'ed from a friends game and when I rejoined I'd lost all my progress, now it seems like my save data is permanently lost. Nice way to die:
A scout was stuck outside the escape pod up the entrance. He could not move and stand in one place.
I got out of the pod, threw a shield and started to shot bugs. Scout managed to unstuck and escape to the pod.
Meanwhile I was overrun by bugs and got down.
Question:
WHY THE HELL does the escape pod left without me?
We had at least 20 seconds till 0.

@mossy breach If you are downed and the Scout enters the Exit Zone in the Drop Pod, the Drop Pod will leave but you will complete the mission. That is intended so players can decide whether they want to risk reviving a downed player and potentially fail the mission, or sacrifice the modest survival bonus, enter the Exit Zone and complete it successfully.

For one friend the meshes were fine, the other saw what i saw. Very strange.
It can happen to any mesh i find. Very common for a glyphid corpse to "star" like that and block the screen.
Will record others if they happen but it's a rare occurence.

I was initially inside but left to help
Scout was able to get inside
So as soon as scout got inside the system though " all 4 players were trying to get inside. Time to leave". That would explain why I was left behind.

Once all of the team members that are still alive, enter the drop pod and go to the Exit Line, the Drop Pod will leave
Meaning that if you're on duo, you go down, but your partner gets inside the pod, it'll leave without you

In your case the Scout must have been inside the Exit Zone when you were downed.

@potent nymph all right I think I understood where the problem is with a 90% certainty.
I downloaded this outside game version again and tried running it with my save files from my actual game version. and I got exactly the same problem which I was getting before. Both on the outside version and on the steam version the process of DRG was just stopping to work and I saw a black screen after the running man animation.
This was not the case with other save files, that I found on a forum on the internet. I tried it and it worked just as fine as well.
So, the problem is probably with my save files (backups are corrupted as well). and those corrupted save files were synched with the cloud, so every time I download the game again, it gives me the same corrupted save files.
Would be awesome if there would be a way for you to find my working old save files (maybe there are additional backups in the cloud) or create new files with an account similarly developed as mine was. I could provide any information needed for this to happen. and if not, I really am just tired of trying to fix this on my own for the whole past week. I would need to let it go.

So I'm not sure what exactly caused it but I booted the game, checked the milestones and when I clicked on them for perk points, the claim button didn't go away, so I tried to click them multiple times
I went from like 5 points to 71 in maybe 5 seconds

D3D Device Lost means that the GPU disappeared in hardware for some reason - if you google "d3d device lost unreal engine", you may be able to find a fairly large number of other solutions people have recommended, as this isn't likely a DRG specific issue

Hey there, I'm having an issue where I'm unable to equip my neon band skin/model for the revolver. It's no longer appearing in my inventory. I've got fresh screenshots to show that it's equipped on my second loadout, but I just tried restoring my save and there's been no change, and unequipping it on my first loadout slot made it vanish. I've got my auto cannon underneath just for reference showing that equipped models should be shown still. Restarting the game hasn't changed anything either

I have duel monitors and every time I tab out while I am in the game my mouse will constantly drag towards my main monitor if I am doing something on my second monitor. As long as I drag my windows to my main monitor, the problem is solved. It is just mildly annoying and I have never had this problem with any other game, so I thought I'd bring it up.

@rose pond If playing with a controller, it tends to do that as well. Either controller joystick is sticky or broken or mainly the game is auto-moving it back to the game.
GSG loves to make sure your cursor is centered or in the game at least. It's something I've been telling them for months to change it and have yet to listen.

Right now, M1000 has been getting more attention of its useness now. Hasnt been tweaked for months. Even forcused shots doesnt satisfy enough againts crowds of enemies coming quick.

With this type of style game, it's not easy having a semi rifle or sniper rifle to deal with crowds. I have some thoughts on how they'd tweak it. We will see.

For temps, is the the GPU that goes high? Our game is pretty light on CPU, so if you run with unlimited FPS then it can be quite taxing on the GPU, try setting a max FPS.

always assume the xbox and windows version will lag behind. Updates have to be approved before they can be pushed to the console. Steam gets updates whenever.

all voice lines were silent the last game i played
also we completet the mission but when the drop pod opened up, the mission instatnly ended and it said failure

There's a lot of bugs I can live with but why hasn't the revive bug been fixed yet? The one where you join in and the downed dwarves are standing and unable to be revived by you. It's a huge issue that I've run across in more than 1/2 of my games and it's not a small bug that can be ignored like a cosmetic.

I've got a weird problem and I don't know what to make of it. Whenever i'm in the loading screen just as a mission starts, some of the textures, usually the clouds around the planet's surface, flicker. And the particles for the sparkles in the mission summary screen sometimes come out as a huge flash. Not sure why

It's possible to destroy ebonuts. Just do
Hit -> Hit -> Power Attack
And the ebonut will break, making it possible to not be able to complete secondary objective

@lone spruce I went in and tested, the neon on the Dark Future set of armor will stay the same regardless of paintjob (color dependent on class), while that helmet glow will change with the paintjob
