So, after playing against a bunch of stingtails recently, I noticed, the update video for november said that after a successful stingtail grab, their cooldown was increased. However, after playing especially today against at least 10 stingtails in 1 mission, it seems that after grabbing someone, they basically insta-grab you again. I have played this game for 250 hours and had engi and driller to second level 1 star at least and randomly it reset my progress, as if I'd just installed it for the very first time, had to do tutorial and all that BS, I have a save where I have most of my levels, which was 46, although I think that it was closer to 57 when I started playing today but it has a sandbox mod active on it and even though I unsubbed from the mod and disabled it I was unable to get back to that level, is there a way to get back to that previous level? I don't want to have to grind another 250 hrs to get back to where I was, not to mention cosmetic things from previous seasons that I unlocked, looking at the save game folder I can see a save that I think would've been before whatever happened but no way to load it. any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Is there a bug in the displayed number of forged cosmetics? In my game, the statistics terminal says I have forged 85 cosmetics. Another player in my regular game has finished forging all the engineer cosmetics (and has been getting mineral satchels from infusing cores, so he has definitely infused them all) but his statistics terminal says he's forged 72. We counted the number of beards/sideburns/etc in the wardrobe and we have the same number there.

This isn’t a bug in the game, but with the Discord.

Whenever I hide the ‘special pods’ category of voice channels, then attempt to scroll up on the list of channels, Discord crashes. I have tested it with all the other categories of voice and text channels that I usually have hidden, and none of them cause the same issue. I’m not sure what’s different with the Special Pods. Never had this issue before like ten minutes ago.

I'm having continuous and regular crashes in what I'd say is about half of my missions. They're occurring seemingly at random, not connected to any particular activity to my knowledge, and at different stages of the mission, though usually around the end or middle of the mission. I've tried running with and without mods, and at 0% resolution, but the issue still hasn't resolved. It seems to have just started happening for no reason a few months ago. This isnt a bug, theres a assignment you must complete before being able to host haz 5 missions, joining haz 5 lobbies works even if you havent done the assignment however.

it can be considered a bug because you are not supposed to join such missions, as in you cannot filter for haz 5, without actually having unlocked haz 5.

Therefore, that haz 5 is listed without it being unlocked when no filter is selected is actually a bug.

I have an annoying bug during Aquark mission. For some reason, on this only mission type Mission Control doesn't warn about swarms, he just tells when swarm is there. He doesn't tell if the swarm ends either. On every other mission type everything works fine. How to fix this?

Hello, I've recently been getting a bug where my audio output changes at random. The audio switch can be quite annoying at times, it causes the game to lag, and eventually kick me out of the mission. I've tried opening it several different ways, and I even uninstall and reinstalled it, but nothing seems to work. I also disabled my mods and switched my graphics settings. Any help?

Ok so this happened on Magma Core: Hazard 2 (Onsite Refinery)
I was playing driller and saw an apoca bloom but it was high up so I decided to drill up on it but I had to pickaxe a bit down to avoid falling but at some point when I would break rock with my pickaxe, I would get hit with lithophage corruption but there was no corrupter or a lithophage event on the map
I would only get corruption when I would break the rock with a pickaxe
(I'm not sure if I had to dig below myself for it to happen or if anyone rock would cause it because when I mined croppa and nitra nothing happened)

I also 100% knew that there wasn't a lithophage event of any sort because my rig being quite old
The particles of lithophage events makes the little amount of FPS I have drop enough that I can pin point the direction of an event even at the start of a mission
So when I was hit with the lithophage corruption originally I just did a slow-ish 360 turn to sweep which direction I need to avoid to stop the game from being almost unplayable

I tried to replicate it today by going to Magma Core again with driller but it was all fine

I actually at some point drilled up the wall again and it was all fine until I would use my pickaxe to break the rock

I originally was so confused that I thought I was burning maybe but I know lithophage and the audio sound it makes so it just confused me more

I was also playing with another player and at some point we just ran around the map to look for the last apoca blooms and again no lithophage anything

This isn't my first weird bug I've gone through but the odd thing is that I don't re-experience them at all but with first bug I experienced I've seen someone else experience it
But I also don't think they happen enough to really bring alarm it's just like a 1% chance thing I'd say or hope

First bug being that I was again playing driller and drilling into a wall but I fell through the map and ended up in a section of a cave I haven't been in before

It was quite deep too so it couldn't be lag and I wasn't having connection problems either nor was anyone else

The second time that happened I saw someone experience it on an Onsite Refinery Mission after 2 bulk exploders popped up
I was playing scout and after the 2 bulk exploders killed each other gunner and driller died in the explosion so I wanted get to gunner and revive him but I saw him fall more and more
Originally I thought I was lucky that I can grapple to him but I won't be able to get him out however he teleported and popped up on a pipe

I can't seem to find a new post nor make one in #1037308906516521010 , but when I tried selecting a new mission after being unexpectedly disconnected from the last one (At the end, might I add frustratedly), I was faced with a dwarf selection page lacking the GUI, and with "The Descent" (Soundtrack that plays during the animation of the drop pod descending to Hoxxes IV) playing at the same time as the end of mission soundtrack "Beneath the Crust". Also make sure the game is using the right GPU, as I see your CPU has an integrated GPU

The game uses peer to peer. The quality of the connection depends on both the internet connection quality of your connection, that of the host, existing peering agreements between service providers that connect you to the host and/or Steam.

Also make sure you have set your download region to a proper server near you. The download region has an influence on the matchmaking component of Steam Networking and therefore has an effect on listed hosted missions as well as estimating the distance category (Close, Medium, Far, World)

I mined a chunk of bismor two missions in a row, this one and last, and both times the vein gave like 20 bismor? last mission was crystalline caverns and this mission was dense biozone. how does the vein size differ in this game?

That particular one was on us - but similar looking issue can happen for individual setups, and is typically related to anti-virus or firewall settings being a bit too aggressive/not letting the pc contact our backend.
If you have no backend contact, you should also not have Yuletide at the moment.

She got the standard crash screen, don't remember the error it gave, and I don't know the specific specs, but I don't think it's a computer issue as she was able to get in her first time, until she quitthe game in an attempt to reset the tutorial, and then it crashed several times, until she was eventually able to get back in and actually do stuff. We were able to do another mission after the tutorial.

So for now we're going to assume it's fixed itself.

Twice yesterday was playing solo missions and found that quest resources were missing. The first time was in the Magma Core region doing an On-site Refining mission. Could not find the third Morkite well. Walked around the base of the wall only finding one branch that was full of Lave geysers and hot rocks but no wells. I was also looking at the map in deferent places looking for hidden branches. Had Bosco shine his light on the upper part of the cavern and could not see any higher caves. Had to abort mission. Second mission was a Point Extraction mission in the Glacial Strata region. Could only find 6 out of the 7 needed Aquarq. Could not find the seventh or any branches in the cavern.

So I don't have any proof besides playing 2 games and the same happening with the same set up of weapons. When killing a Loot Hoarder/Golden Lootbug with a Boomstick with this set up:

Overclock: Double Barrel (Unload both barrels at once; Huge increase in Blast Wave damage; Increased shot spread

They do not drop minerals.
I have had this in 1 game on a golden loot bug (altough I think I may have finished him with a power attack, but after shooting like 1 boomstick shot)
Then I have had this on a Loot Hoarder in 2 game and he was specifically finished with a Boomstick and didn't drop the minerals. Funny thing, I have had a Golden Loot Bug on the same mission and killed it with Deepcore and he dropped the gold (not like the one in the previous gold).
Maybe it is the fear that causes them not to drop their loot?

I am playing 1440p 120 fps on high settings. Before the update game was running smooth as butter, but now I get fps drops to 50 for no reason at all and my GPU clock speed is unstable. I tried running the game both with DX11 and DX12, tried borderless and fullscreen and changing vsync. No luck...

If you sell minerals and close the game before making any other purchases, the next time you log in you’ll have all the minerals AND all the credits from the sell.

During an Elite Deep Dive my friend was playing Enginner.
Stage 2, he ended with Turrets staying at the ground with half ammo filled.

We proceed to Stage 3, we land, he puts the Turrets. They say: Out of ammo but he could not refill them. Ended up loosing the mission because of it.

No worries! It's playable for me, in that the double press only happens at terminals and not for any weaponry or anything. Actually, it seems to be relegated solely to the square button for me, so I guess the reload animation cancels out the second press. Did your terrain scanner also change from select to the trackpad?

For me it was trackpad for the scanner by default, select was the "Esc"/Menu
Pad now can't be used for anything though, won't recognize the button press in controls menu

And it's mostly playable but relocating the engi turret or dropping a C4 when calling for a resupply is... unpractical

oh, yeah, my actual situation is a lot more complex than what my comment suggests. The last promotion assignment was one i did solo, but had had it paused since Tuesday. I had started the mission after the first hotfix on the 19th, finished it earlier today on the 21st. Had no problem getting the XP and minerals, and I got loaded into Space Rig as normal. Then I got the promotion message, and shortly after that I got the helm message. Then I switched to Gunner, paid for the promotion, and when i accepted it the screen went blank like i was loading back into the Space Rig, but the game froze. Had to kill the process. Then I saw there was a new update, applied it, and when i went back, my promotion was still applied, but the helm was nowhere to be found. Quit the game, verified my game files, and still no helm.

I'm on Steam and my game keeps crashing seconds after it starts the opening GSG animation. After a try or two it gave me some options of how to open the game, the original, X12, X11 and Safe Mode. I've tried all of them and each time it crashes. I have no idea where to go from here.

In the crash report it says "Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 198] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x0 - 'S_OK')"

The game was working just fine yesterday, I updated the game yesterday after my play session seeing that an update was available.

So I have discovered that a ps4 controller on steam on pc windows 11 doesn't work properly atm, because I was using the thunderhead heavy auto canon but holding the trigger to fire didn't work at all when using it. It used to work just fine but not anymore.

what type of bug is this i was soloing for 2 hours straight in elite expeditions i finished and the game crashed lost 2 hours of my life for nothing :c

I know this isn't a bug, but I've noticed that whenever I boot up the game, it always puts my graphics to "Custom", but it doesn't run as well. Whenever I change it to "Medium", it always resets to "Custom" whenever I reboot the game. How can I keep it at "Medium" permanently?

Just got an Rog Ally for christmas trying to set up Drg on it but the game isn't recognizing the rog as a controller but rather the pc still any advice?

Edit for the fix: In the Rog ally settings there is a gaming porfile you need to set up so it plays like a controller not a pc.

Hey, one of my friends says he's been crashing on launch every time he tries to boot the game. He's not running any mods. No crash message, just him crashing to desktop. Has tried both DX11 and DX12 modes as well as safe mode, has tried verifying files.

Has anyone noticed that the Terminal> Accomplishments> Enemies killed is NOT remotely close to the kill count in the Miner's Manual > Bestiary. The terminal says that I have 1.1 million total Enemies Killed, but in the Miner's Manuel it says I have 1.5 million kills in Gyphid Grunts alone... whats with that?

My computer has been shutting itself off lately, and recently it did it again, so I switched the plug in spot on a power strip for my power supply. I loaded DRG back up and it put me into the tutorial, I went to restore save and nothing was there.

I then followed some instructions about moving my save files to somewhere different from an old bug discussion site.

I tried to start up the game and it put me back into the tutorial, but now I everytime I click the skip tutorial button, it shuts off my computer IMMEDIATELY after clicking it.
