(I'll go from my fps max of 117 down to like 30 just by turning the mouse slowly

so key'ed in the trililyte deposit, saw the lasers come out, it was during an escort so we continued on our way, when we came back the drilling lasers despawned, like they weren't there to begin with, and we couldn't re-key the thing, drilled it just to see what would happened and this is all we saw, couldn't interact with anything

is this bugged or intentional timed key'ing or something?

Hey everyone my friends and i tried to do the "drill-by shooting" achievement but only 2 of them got it and myself and another didn't. we arent sure if we read the description wrong or if its a bug that only 2 of the 4 got it.

from what we understand is each of us had to kill atleast 15 enemies while standing on it so its impossible for only 2 of us to get the achievement and the others not. unless we are understanding it wrong. any help would be appreciated

you're understanding it right, and it means you don't get the achievement if you don't kill 15 enemies while riding it.

Also, achievements are a bit buggy so there is that.

I too am seeing a ton of crash events after the last update. I removed and reinstalled all drivers. Tested in DX12, 11 and Safe Mode and all still crash. Sometimes it crashes as quickly as leaving my bunk on the rig, other times I can get part way through a mission, but I definitely can't complete a mission anymore.

I tried a GPU burn-in stress test, and it performed nominally. I tried playing several other games, all stable. So whatever this is seems unique to DRG for me.

its a relatively weak graphics card, but it should still run fine. The first thing that come to mind might be a poor internet connection if its only while playing as a client. Second would be overheating or background tasks open

I died while hanging on to a cave angel and i was still able to move, shoot, swap weapons, that stuff, but i was interrupted by the dying animation when i tried to do stuff that required holding E. my health was at zero the whole time, it lasted until everybody else died. screen was red like when you first die as well.

Heyo. So a bug (not a glyphid) is when you are knocked down after breaking free of the rockpox worms, you will be stuck with the rockpix screen effect and sounds, with the meter maxed out upon revival.

Sounds like something odd is happening with the window. Try alt+enter as I think that toggles fullscreen. Could be wrong, but might work.

Hmm. Update: if I completely kill Discord (so not just closed but still showing in systray), I'm suddenly playable again. Finished two consecutive missions so far and it's back to normal.

Edit: Confirmed. After playing normally for a couple missions, I started up Discord again as a test and dropped for a new mission in DRG. Crashed as expected before the mission could be completed. It's definitely something DRG hates about Discord. No other game I play does this.

Ok so not sure if anyone else has been having this, but I've been having a weird bug. If I join a multiplayer lobby, the first time, I have no issues, but after leaving a match, if I try joining another multiplayer lobby, I get stuck at an infinite joining screen.
If I restart my game, I can join another match, but this means I need to restart my game everytime I want to play more than one multiplayer mission.

Im 100% sure it isnt my internet. While i cant speak for others (I mostly jump into existing missions) about a month or so ago its gotten very noticably worse EVERY multiplayer mission

does anyone know why the game would not be using my gpu? i've already searched this channel and set drg to launch in windows with high performance mode, checked nvidia control panel settings, and have no integrated graphics either

i have no reason to believe it's like a visual thing with task manager either since it shows other games utilizing my gpu at 100%

there's 0% usage on the graph when i first alt-tab to task manager, and it only goes up to ~7% probably due to the alt-tab

Help, my friend was getting into the game and now he can`t open the game anymore at all, we have tried reinstalling the game restarting his pc deinstalling the mod folder and verifying the game files afterwards.

It flickers so quickly and randomly this is the best I could get. The black streaks across the top right of the screen there go all over the place, appearing and disappearing quickly and repeatedly. I found that it mainly happens when I'm using lithofoam. And it's not specifically on my screen, it seems like its in game models stretching. I realized the other day I saw it happen when a bug died, its model stretched and spazzed out similar to these streaks.

Has anyone had issues with occasional frame drops? I'm using a Ryzen 7 7700 and an RX 6800 XT. On HardwareInfo, the frame drops show up as short bursts of 0% GPU usage. No other game does this, as far as I can tell, so I don't think it's a hardware fault. Any solutions?

Approved mods set your lobby as MODDED and will hide it under a tab so very rarely will multiple people join

you can try these steps tho

1. make sure your OS is up to date
2. make sure all your drivers are up to date (GPU is of importance; if you're using Iris graphics from intel, open your device manager and uninstall your Intel Xe Graphics Driver under Display Adapter)
3. make sure Steam is up to date, you can also join the steam beta, updating to the latest beta has helped some players
4. launch the game in DX11 mode
5. go into your display settings and try a lower refresh rate/resolution
6. if you have a discrete gpu, remove it from your tower and reinsert it.
7. try to run a gpu stress test while hardware info is open to monitor temps and memory usage (if things seem off, could be that your gpu needs to be cleaned and repasted.. or that it's on its last leg)

(6 and 7 are done at your own risk, at your own peril)

i do have a dedicated address. I have 3 options though for connecting. Right now I switched to ethernet which is 20 mbps but it works and its stable. However, that was causing my breasker to flip after a few mins of plugging it into an outlet. I think ive got that fixed though. i have 2 wifi networks I can use. I was using one of them for a while and it sat at 30 mbps however pretty recently, i cant connect to steam or discord while using it. the desktop apps and web browser versions of them just can't connect on that network and i talked to my Dad about it and he swears he hasn't blocked anything or set any rules against it. my last option is the network thats unstable/fluctuates a lot but can have speeds around 250 mbps however it doesn't work with deep rock

Hey so my game crashes to desktop, seemingly at random, and I can't figure out why. There have also been occaisonal more serious crashes. One where the entire computer froze and I had to restart it with the physical power button, and another where it just full on shut down and had to restart. My computer is very stable with every other game I've played on it with the exception of Vermintide.
The latest crash log pretty much just said "FSD_Win64_Shipping" repeatedly, next time it happens I'll make sure to save it before it closes.

I just got a bug where Mission Control on an On-Site Refining Mission says the dialouge for the pumpjacks being started upon connecting the third pumpjack.

However, this caused another bug as a swarm started at the same time, and he then proceeded to say the correct dialouge about returning to the Refinery and confirming all three pumpjacks are connected, but for whatever reason, that message text box remained on screen for an extended amount of time, an I believe overwrote the swarm announcement message, which I heard Mission Control say, but it never appeared on screen.

Tried to get a screen capture of this, but I was in the middle of an intense swarm, and couldnt stand still long enough to collect it without dying.

Has the bug where the hivegaurd just doesn't spawn the sentinels been addressed yet? Because I just had a mission where they didn't spawn and had to abort. It's a pretty critical and game breaking bug that should have priority so I don't know why it still happens

Its likely been addressed or at least attempted because its been a reoccuring/long lasting bug. Make a report on pleasefix or add to it if it already exists

It is likely yhe devs know about it but cannot locate/easily replicate what is causing it and therefore cannot pin point it outside of the "hiveguard spawns when changing state" part of the hiveguards code

I can't suddenly join any mission in multiplayer anymore.
Until today never had any similar issue.
Found on internet an advice to check firewall settings, so communication is possible in and out.
Did that .. nothing special here .. everything seems ok regarding my windows firewall.

Has anyone got similar issues and a fix for it?
Other online games work fine so far and there were no updates in any kind on my PC.

I get a weird bug every once in a while on Xbox where flares do not light up their surroundings, I do not know what causes it but it never happens at the beginning of missions only halfway through, this happens once about every 100 missions or so.

BUG:
Driller drills straight into wall deep then and makes a circle cut out on the ground about a little bigger than a drop pod (No C4 or drilling vertically or horizontally was done) Then the engi seal the entrance hole the driller dug in (bunker style). We are all done with our primary and secondary mission goals and we Recall-Molly. The droppod comes but it lands exactly in the spot the driller has minned out, right next to us. The player said, "this is a known bug" and I have never seen this done by other players until now and I have about 3k hours in the game. This is defniatly a cheat exploit and is this a Know Bug?

NOTES:
It was a smaller sized cave and not a long deep one, but the DropPod should always land furthur away and not on the players like that.
I cannot repeat this with just my engi so far (1x egg mission tested on), testing it again now. Thinking I need a driller to make a certain sized hole first.
I have mods dissabled and I do not play approved modded games as well.

Yeah that tends to just happen on the space rig, its hella annoying. Iirc if you disband team from the pause menu it should reset you if not you have to restart your game

-the game is lagging like a mf
-or the game thinks the drop pod still isn't open, despite it clearing showing it is visually
