i get 400mbs down 40 up and im hardwired, been playing drg since season 1 and never seen this before. The last 3 days every single game i join or host after about 30 seconds if im host everyone gets disconnected and if i join someone else after 30 seconds everything stops moving and after a minute i get dc'd. Again never experienced this before in my 700 hours i have no clue whats happening i have tried everything on my end and its ONLY happening on drg has anyone else experienced this?

Hello, I have the following problem: The game takes a long time to load, I press ESC - the game freezes. I select the settings tab - it hangs. I switch to another save - it freezes. I put fashion - hangs.

steam cloud is not a great backup system. If a file corrupts, steam cloud will often sync that file ;/

I noticed that if you put the module on the shooter's revolver, which adds damage, reduces the ammunition in the combat magazine to three and increases the recoil, then there will still be four cartridges in the revolver drum. Please fix it. (The module was red)

I can't report the bug, but basically, I had left my hud off for 95% of the mission, only opening it up like... 5 times at most to check something.

I don't have any deposit expansions, and the "gold full" at 40 gold proves it.
I also don't know how I collected a million malt stars either, as only got 8.

So i want to know if anyone is experiencing packet loss. With my friends, i will have conistent 32ms ping but will randomly "lag" where everyone doesnt move. I came across this while trying to make a tier list for every mission, warning, and anomaly. Was the icon for Mactera Plague changed at all recently? I'm unsure, because it seems like there's two different icons for it, and I couldn't find anything in any patch notes about it being changed. If we are to look at the miner's manual, the current image that is the icon for the warning is a grabber. Yet, on the category for warnings, it is this other icon and I'm unsure as to what it potrays... an arm perhaps?

The DRG fandom wiki also uses this other icon for mactera plague, confirming that this is indeed another icon for the warning.

(Sorry if this violates a rule, I'm new here and I cant figure out the whole dxd.whatever-it-is thing for this new report system and how I apply it to be able to report an issue with a Steam achievement not tracking properly, so im putting putting my issue here)

The Steam achievement "Roller Coaster" wasn't/isn't tracking time properly, on steam for me, i had the pipe system set up and timed the whole rail (main station to the pump) to about 125-130s but the achievement only counted it to 96s (i grinned the rail 4 times, and i know that bumping bugs counts as stopping)

This isn't a game breaking bug, but this timing issue also happened when i was doing the "Hi Ho, Silver - Away!" which took 25 seconds to count for me.

You got the role on discord which means you've joined the union and are still a part of it. You didn't lose progress or anything like that. The bot who handles this whole discord union thing has always been very buggy and unreliable and now with more members than ever it's probably not gonna get any better. Basically: sometimes the union terminal doesn't work and it's a very well known problem. It works when it wants to. It is, however unlikely that something will improve as it was originally just a small feature to get people to join the discord server and is probably a relic that the devs don't want to spend much time on.

hey y'all, new to the game, and i'm very confused with the game performance. I have a 1660S and a 5800X, plenty of RAM, and I get low framerates despite not seeing anywhere near full utilization of either CPU or GPU

Sometimes, a game will not use the available hardware for some reason. Could be a bug, could be a compatibility problem or something else.

Just make sure that you're using the full hardware. From the CPU usage, I'd say your CPU is not being utilised as it should.

When subscribing to a mod, are you supposed to wait for the steam browser to do something? I've been noticing that it tries to load.

But then if I close out of the Steam browser, then the whole downloading in the mod list of the Modding tab just doesn't install anything.

But then I feel like it just doesn't get allowed to install somehow.

I could try another idea. Because could it be a game directory location issue?

Because I do have DRG on my external hard drive. Maybe the mods would install better if I had DRG directly onto my PC's hard drive?

That's why I thought I'd check incase if it was a setting or something, because there was a message I had when I first got on with the DRG having mods for the first time, it had a window looking like if it was asking me if I want to play a modded server or not, I don't remember what I clicked on, and then it had me feel like if it was a setting I needed to toggle on.

I know there were a couple of games that had a file to edit or something to enable mods in general.

Plus, this is one of the first games, on Steam, I've seen having their own workshop.

Are the silver promotion achievements bugged, or am I misunderstanding them? I have 2 star promotions on 3 characters and am doing the assignment for the 4th, but don't have the silver promotion achievement and the "get a silver promotion for all 4 dwarves" achievement has no progress in it.

Yes, it was both of those. Thank you. However, the same thing happens with my weapons sometimes as well. I will hold down to shoot for example my minigun or my assault rifle and while holding down the button I will only shoot once or sometimes maybe twice before it just stops.

I started playing this game a few days ago on Xbox and I have never been able to access multiplayer at all. If I try to invite someone through the in-game menu nothing happens. If I try inviting them through Xbox the option is grayed out. When I try to join a lobby I get stuck on an infinite loading screen. If I try to accept an invite from another player through Xbox once again nothing happens. Is there something I need to change in the settings menu or an internet problem or something? Well, the tone isn't appreciated. I'm trying to join a guild through the game, and it requires rich Discord integration on steam, which I am running on Ubuntu. Just to follow up before I move on from now, updating the installed version from .23 to .24 of discord (--edge in the snap store) didn't help. Installing .24 directly through the apt path and the .deb file downloaded from discord directly didn't help. I also tried a full clean reboot. I you can find the DRG folder, I guess it should be easy to find the saves.

You can access the AppData folder by typing %appdata% into your search/run bar.

once you have arrived in the Packages folder, you want to look for the one marked "CoffeeStainStudios.DeepRockGalactic_(insert characters here)"

From there, you want to navigate to "SystemAppData", and then "wgs". If you have created a save state, there should be a folder in there composed of a long string of numbers and characters. In that folder should be another folder that is also a string of numbers and characters. In that folder, you will find your save file. For example, on my system this string is "CoffeeStainStudios.DeepRockGalactic_496a1srhmar9w\SystemAppData\wgs\0009000008096FC1_882901006F2042808DB0569531F199CB\EF01EC69E5864052A29EAA1CDDB2E7CA", but this may vary from system to system, I do not know and I do not have any additional hardware to test this.

I can't say for sure if it's the issue or not but just know that Windows 11 doesn't play nice with DRG, it's not officially supported. So there could be potential issue on that end.

Still not working. Since last time I now have tried:
0. Made sure system was updated, rebooted.

1. leaving this discord server,
2. Removing the gamemoderun command, running with no options
   3 different Proton versions, back to version 6.
3. I am online in discord for all the attempts.
4. I am online in steam.
5. I have tried all 4 options for launching (Play DRG, dx12, dx11 and safe mode)
6. Through Steam there is no real way to run as admin, both Steam and DRG are running as my user, who does have permissions to everything.
7. I have Discord linked to Steam

Beyond trying to find a Windows client to install everything on, and trying from there, but I don't think that helps me day to day....

this sounds like either your save data didn't save or you moving drives messed something up and used an older save

if both your c and d drive aren't nearing full it's likely not the first option

Make sure the save folder isn't on "read only"

The savefiles are stored locally on your computer so moving the game from one drive to another can create that issue too btw.
You could always search for them on the previous drive and move them to the new place.

It is likely caused by a mod, invisible hands mod , nitra resup scaling mod or some other mod.

This isn't a bug. This is a result of discord being sandboxed as a result of being a snap package. There's evidently a github page that allows discord a tunnel to communicate with steam games. I don't know the name of it or have any links to it.

Verify the games files, try launching it with DX11, try launching it in Safe Mode.

To get Discord and DRG connected on Linux I used wine-discord-ipc-bridge, downloaded, compiled and set my command to /path/to/winediscordipcbridge-steam.sh gamemoderun %command% (gamemoderun ensures the game gets priority, if you don't use it don't add it).

So, not a big issue, but I noticed that if you look at the assault rifle in the equipment menu, you can see thru parts of the gun. If you look at it so the barrel is facing the camera, theres a little space under the barrel and in that space, you can see thru the gun. Again, not a big issue at all, just something I noticed. Go into NVidia Control Panel and reset global to defaults. I had some things changed for overall system performance gains, but unreal did not like them. I suggest working with unreal as an individual app settings in NVidia control panel if you need to alter performance for the app.

Hi, I’m having an issue and I don’t know where to post exactly.
My friends and I live in the same country and when any of us host, we are experiencing 400+ms. We all have good internet (1GB+ lines, wired, no other issues with any other games, peer-to-peer or server based), and some of us are on different ISPs so those aren’t specifically the problem.

My guess is that our connection is getting routed through a further location, and then back to us. Probably somewhere ~200ms away, so that the total route time is ~400ms when it loops back towards us. We play on game pass for PC using the windows store version. Does it maybe have anything to do with our Microsoft account location settings? I thought that since it’s a peer-to-peer system, it shouldn’t matter, right?

I tried to email support but got an automatic reply to post in this discord instead. Sorry if this is the wrong channel to post in. Happy to post in the correct one if someone can link it, but I couldn’t find a more suitable one.

As you mention, the game runs peer to peer, so it is something in your setup or maybe your ISP that is likely causing the issue.

I’ve contacted my ISP and they have confirmed no issues in their end. They did a ping test between my friend and myself, returning ~20ms. Other games don’t have this issue that also use a peer-to-peer system, only DRG. Which is why I thought it was a problem with DRG specifically and something I could change.
Does it have anything to do with the Windows Store location? Will it try route through a server on the windows side perhaps?

Yesterday I uninstalled every game currently downloaded and Steam itself and re-installed them on a new drive. It made a new Active/current save locally, DRG's cloud system will only overwrite if you tell it to.
Steams cloudsave system should have synced before you launched the game, but often doesn't do that (and if you break a save, steam cloud will often sync that too).

If you go to the spacerig and press 'Restore Save' you should be able to see a list of saves, including one from yesterday 🙂

Also even though it set deep rock to high performance I don't think it's allocated to the right gpu still as nothing comes up on gpu engine on task manager

Indeed my issue was Linux based, but the other items hold, make sure you didn't mute the discord server, make sure you are available, and logged into the discord app. If you are running Linux, I posted to Reddit, and it may be nice to have my response pinned... it isn't a bug, but an issue that could use some visibility.

Hey everyone. I logged on today and was greeted by the Lunar event screens and all that. Once i loaded into the rig, three claimable items popped up. Before i could claim them, i kicked my power strip and turned off my PC. Rebooted the game and can't seem to claim the items anywhere. Any advice?

So I was screwing with the throwable fireworks in the hub and if you spam click fast enough right after picking one up, the animation gets a bit screwy. Also theres no camera sway when running while holding one of those fireworks. I can still throw them just fine, just a bit of animation screwiness

It's a very weird bug and so far I have absolutely no idea how to recreate it so I will tell you what I can : sometimes the shredders from engie's SSG will immediately rush toward the beginning of the cave when you summon them.

I recently downloaded the game, and I’m having several issues:

• When I’m in a run, my internet connection gets very unstable leading to occassional disconnects for a few seconds, my voice in discord becomes very laggy as well.
• Randomly my sound stops working at all, it glitches out and I have to tab out, select the input and output to get it working again or unplug the usb and put it back in, sometimes the game crashes when this happens
• The game randomly crashes when I am inside a run
• Performance & gameplay are completely fine, these issues are on DRG only (I play other games without any similar issues) and I’ve tried turning off the ingame VC in case it was having conflicts but nothing is working. I read online that some people have similar problems but haven’t been able to fix it.

I suspect the issue may be related to something with the sound causing both the connection and sound issues, any ideas on how to fix?

There was an option in sound that when turned on would fix a lot of issues, have you tried that? It was called 'disable EQ something'.

Not sure if this is already known, but I was in a game earlier when a meteor fell down. Both the Scout and the Engineer started building the rock cracker pipes toward the same jack without the other knowing. They ended up getting there at the exact same time, and were able to connect their pipes into the same jack at the exact same time. It showed both rock crackers were connected at 100%, but mission control never said the line saying they were ready and you can start them up, since they were both connected to the same side. So we ended up not being able to do the meteor event and just had to leave without completing it.

Hello, Developers.
I have a problem with game launching & just dont know where to ask about it.
After loading logos, eternal "waiting for steam to load" appears. Game isnt crashing but stay that state forever. I found fixes in Steam discussions and every solution from it isnt working.
I tried Steam, PC and game relaunching, relaunching with all DX & Windows compatibility settings, administrator option, and disabled antivirus. Refreshing game files and reinstalling is not working too. Steam has all connection requirements - i can chat & launch every other game without problems. Windows defender s OFF. Antivirus quarantine is empty - dont have DRG files. And i dont have any launched servers on PC.
Literally dont know what to do.😟
Game worked on previous patch so PC have all requirements for game.

The push-to-talk option in the settings has been disabling itself after literally every loading screen over the last couple of days. So I end up hot mic-ing at the start and after every mission. Even my friends are getting sick of it, despite the endless amount of mockery opportunities and jokes it presents them. It used to happen once in a blue moon, usually when first getting in the game, then it just worked as intended for 3-4 months, is it trying to make up for all the time it worked correctly??

That's how it is. The game is Peer-to-Peer and GSG does not have the will, money and manpower to switch to allow for crossplay.
