Oh absolutely. I imagine there will be at least one enemy that can serve the same role as the cave leech; could even be a deepstone variant of the cave leech. Maybe one that has a limited reach but can nest up on any surface, or a ceiling variant that can snake out as far as it likes, but will snatch anything it can get it's tentacles on, not just dwarves.

I would guess that depends on how they handle single player in regards to cave leech like enemies. Last I heard, you likely won't have any bosco equivalents coming with you on solo missions, so they can't keep the cave leech as is because it'll just instant run end since you can't free yourself

that, or they keep the cave leech and make the elite dwarf actually know how to break free

I think it would help Hoxxes feel a bit more like a natural environment as well. Hoxxes is such a violent planet, yet we never get to see the local plants/bugs interacting with eachother. It'd be really cool to show up in a cave and witness a webber knock a cave angel out of the sky and it get promptly jumped on by glyphids.

I was catching back up on the dev streams and watching the replays on YouTube, and on a stream back in early October I believe. Mike describes rogue core as “It looks like DRG got hit by a truck” 😂

So they’ve said that they won’t be showing any more visual related stuff until they give rogue core its own visual distinction that’s not just DRG assets covered in vomit
