Since the core gameplay builds on DRG it will inherently also feature all the known co-op mechanics, like traversal tools, weapon synergies and laser pointer shouts, not to forget the good old “Rock and Stone”.

Nope, if you read up on all the posted info it's pretty easy to tell this isn't the case.

They basically had some really cool ideas that blossomed into something awesome once they set it free. Makes sense to me, one of the most useful rules I have when iterating on designs and ideas is "Double-check your assumptions".

Guys, Idea! I was listening the recent interview and when they were talking about Steeve I came up with something that I want to bring to your attention.

What if we, as Reclaimers, would occasionally (pure rng, rare/quite rare event) meet a bug (since it's confirmed that glyphids are thing?), that would not be hostile towards us and posessed some sort of resistance towards our damage? He wouldn't approach, just stay there, a bit away, and maybe shake his butt a little (like they do when you pet them in DRG rn?). If you don't fire at him and approach, you'd get a promt or some kind of qte and if you pass, then he'd became your buddy, just like in the DRG?

Makes kind of sense, since we never take our Steeves with us, and it's only a matter of time before one of them stumbles upon the place where RC events are unfolding. What do you all think about that?

P. s. Also, if you try to kill Steeve before befriending him, he'd just run away and despawn when out of LoS.

Game shows a lot of potential. I loved the touched-up gunplay, lot more satisfying. Weapons feel really nice. The main issue imo is the boring upgrades, its just not interesting or fun to get a 10% rate of fire buff or 5% damage buff as your item 90% of the time.

Also given how little is out about RC, take anything not directly from or directly quoting a dev, with a heaping spoon of salt.
