Keep doing commission board quests. Until like lvl 5 ish. You can grab more from a settlement town as well. Chop trees. Pick flowers. And smack rocks. Get mats. You can make some low level weapons.

It's typically working when servers reset iirc. I did provide some suggestions for a temporary workaround if the issue persists.

If after logging into the launcher there is no update/download of the game happening then I would assume that you will need to wait until the current update is done being worked on by the dev team which is currently scheduled for here in around 30 minutes time. I just tried logging in myself to see if I could view further into the launcher and that does not seem to be the case so I believe you will have to wait.

If you got one of the 5 minute scrolls and a 4 hour processing timer, pop the scroll before you start it and the exp will be attributed with the full boost at that point. Then awarded to you whenever you claim it

There is a quest out of Lionhold called Safe, Secure, something something. Has you run and pick up 6 glowies along the road to the settlement to the north, then turn it in at the same named npc who sits outside the settlement. It gives you 3 pieces of armor (your choice of type) The cloak has a couple guides out on youtube how to start it. There is plenty of gear out there in various quest for starter stuff. People just ignore the questing and mob grind cause that is what they think is best. Play as you like.

Then you should have some snowdrop powder then. Take that to briarmore farms to complete that quest if you haven’t. Near the watch tower/ember there is a guard who is a quest giver. Safe fast secure or similar. Get that quest and collect 6 glowing red sacks along the roads. (Only collect after gaining the quest)

Once you have those take them to a Vigilant camp near a riverlands node to gain a green chest pants and shoes of any equipment weight

your CPU is being bottlenecked by the GPU.

It is a temporary measure because people's efforts were not being seen in Anvils. They looked at their data, and decided who got boosted manually. You don't to like it, but until they figure out what is causing the underlying issue, that is what they decided to do. Don't worry, none of it really matters, it will all be wiped, sooner or later.

I know one of the latest NVIDIA drivers adresses the UnrealEngine with some fixes. It was either the 581.15 or one before that.

581.08 added DLSS Overrides and Smooth Motion support for the RTX 40 series. I don't know if you updated it or not?

This is all I am capable of helping with unfortunately. I do hope it will work for you. What you could do, if that helps, but always brings risks with it, is seeing if your SSD has a firmwire update. I noticed for some SSD with some firmwares there are problems with read/write and/or cashing. It should be a last resort though. And SSD isn't singled out, some NVMEs have the same issues.

What you can do, because you have space, is put on a full debug report.

This will however take up a LOT of space. In the Launcher you can go to the settings and enable GPU Crash Debugging.

This will make the dumpfile between a few mg all the way up to 33 GB (was in my case) and fills up your SSD fast. But these dumps can be important with support to figure out what is going on.

There are several programs you can use and put on a USB stick

There is memtest86 and memtest. I prefer memtest86+. You can get that here to test it out: memtest.org. They have a USB installer for windows.

The location for the crash dump files are located in your %AppData%\Local\AOC\Saved\Crashes in case you are enabling them.

Starting zones are a big pool and FPS drops considerable. I see mounts that have a few FPS. What doesn't look like a streamers quality? Go out in the world, check the water there and the details are good. I run everything on High. The one thing you don't want to put on medium or low is Global Illumination, that one makes the difference for me.

DLSS is on balanced on my end and Frame Generation is off. See if those settings suit you better.

Shut down the PC, wat a few seconds, then boot it and check again. I know AoC can drain that sucker like a hoe on christmass eve. Let's see what you have before booting the launcher/game.

If 25 gigs are drained without AoC/Launcher then you have a software program running you dry somewhere.

This could be a long stretch, but hell, lets see. You bought a new computer. Sometimes working memory, even though not compatible or supported, does work on a computer. This could also decrease the Available Physical Memory. Do you happen to know the brand of your memory + model and the brand + model of your mainboard? I'll pull up the manual of the manufacturer and check it. This should be on the bill you got for your computer.

Or else we can run a program to check it called HWinfo64. You can get it here: https://www.hwinfo.com/download and use the portable version. That way you don't have to install the program and run it directly.

The system recognizes 32GB it just drains most of it. I think this: Either communication error from the mainboard (bios) to the lanes where the memory is. A program running on the background (do a mallware check) or do a memtest. Those would be the 3 I would do first. I checked a bios update, because he said he got the board for a while now and the lastest one was in Februari. No fixes regarding to that particular issue. His SSD I don't know, maybe slow on the read/write. But then again, if you run this heavy program, Windows, the PAGE being written/and read and the other programs also read/write, the SSD could be throttled.

I imagine that if you have the same SSD, you could do something like clone your entire SSD to hers.

You could farm mobs solo for gear, but the drop rate is going to be pretty low off the kinds of mobs that people can solo. Killing any mobs would get you glint which could be sold for silver/gold. If you want to make gold off mob killing, there are some that drop materials needed for crafting that might do a bit better than an average mobs loot tables. I personally think gathering and selling the higher quality gatherables to other players is one of the faster ways to make gold solo.

Nope. For the tin, copper, and Ruby quests you often have to deliever them. Make sure to have at least one common or it might not let you add to the box. The fish quest you can update anywhere. These quests up in the North seem to have issues.

I recently completed the quest “Al'Ashal Quest Guide” (the cloak quest). When I went to turn it in, my inventory was full and I didn’t receive the rewards. After freeing up some space, I tried to interact with the NPC again, but now he no longer responds to me. I already restarted the game, but the issue persists.

I still have the quest items in my inventory, but for the NPC the quest seems finished. It still shows up in my quest log (pressing “J”) as completed and green, but I cannot actually finalize it or claim the rewards. Could you please help me resolve this?

It’s a breakpoint system not percentage chance. I’m pulling numbers out my rear here, but say it’s a total of 200 quality value to reach uncommon rarity on an item.

You can reach this breakpoint via all uncommon materials, node buffs or artisan equipment like above. Utilizing any singular method or all of them.

In theory a high enough quality level from gear will get you uncommon or higher crafts every time even when using only common materials.

There is a toggle for auto attack under options. If you want to not have to press E, then enable that.

Once you attack it will keep attacking with your active weapon. Mix in your skills and enjoy.

Technical question. I have a mouse with 12 programmable side buttons. I programed them as "alt-1, alt-2, ect.." But when I set a keybind in ashes, to "alt-1", and then I used the "alt-1" mouse button, it also hits the keybind for just "1" . Is there a setting in ashes so that it registers multiple keystrokes and individual actions?

Hmm, my first thought was it was set as a sequential click instead of a combo in your mouse key binding software but I'm not sure since its hitting both.

Have you tried remapping in Ashes? Like use the mouse button on the ability and you want and see what pops up in the box?

A workaround may be to use single clicks for your abilities and just map them on your map and in ashes to keys you maybe don't use like the number pad keys?

A friend of mine said last night that he swung his melee weapon just to see the animation of a newly equipped weapon. He said as he did somebody ran by at that exact moment and he struck them. Immediately all the guards turned red and killed him.
What would have been that person's flagging status in order for him to be able to hit that person?
My friend was not flagged for PVP at the time.

To hit someone he would have had to been holding down the pvp toggle or have it enabled in settings. And yes, if he hit someone in town, he would have turned purple, and been insta gibbed, the guards are no joke, they one shot everyone.

No idea without seeing an image of it. The flagging system is buggy. There are ways to bait people into turning purple or even red through "corruption baiting" It mostly functions fine. Try not swinging weapons or using abilities in town or at respawn points and you should avoid most of it. Good luck, have fun.

Yeah so the price per item the buyer will pay is up on top. so if your trying to match or beat something in the market you need to lower your price until that top price alligns with whats in market or whatever you want to sell at and then your good.

What logic did the team at intrepid apply when making loot drop at an increased rate when within 3-4 levels of the monsters being hunted ? I don’t understand the logic behind this . If I fight a monster as a group of 20’s and they are 25+ I am already being at a disadvantage with the group by fighting mobs that are harder ( scaled up by level diff) so why nerf loot too ? @idle siren . Now we see scenarios where we want to play with our friends / guild members but don’t want to invite them if they aren’t at the threshold for fear of decreased loot drops ? Part of the system in place to prevent carrying and power leveling toons. So you can’t just drag a level 1 to carphin and get him past level 20 in a couple hours or so.
This is the overall intent behind that system, but it could certainly be up to tweaking for various things

Game crashes on launch with DX12 on AMD Ryzen 7 5825U integrated graphics

Description
Since Phase 3 update, game immediately crashes with Unreal Engine error when trying to launch on DX12. No fallback option available.

Bug Reproduction Steps
1. Launch Ashes of Creation client (AOCCLient.exe).
2. Game attempts to run in DX12.
3. Unreal Engine crash reporter opens with error message.
4. Tried repair and reinstall from launcher.
5. Cleared AMD DxCache and verified latest GPU drivers (Adrenalin 25.8.1).
6. Tried launch arguments (-d3d11, -vulkan) but client reports project not configured to support them.

Expected Result
Game should launch and run normally, or at least provide fallback to DirectX 11 or Vulkan for unsupported systems.

Actual Result / Bug Report
Since Phase 3 went live, game crashes instantly with the following error:

• Cleared DxCache
• Disabled overlays (Radeon, Windows, Discord)

• Repaired and reinstalled the game

Are we going to do something about gear progression ? ye so we have HARD HARD farmed SB for 4 + hours an didnt drop a singel radiant item let alone a set piece? How is one ment to get gear? Keep in mind this is only lvl 26 gear? how is this supposed to be when the game goes beyond this? Crafting is supposed to matter, i get that. But crafting is SO INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE (not just meaning the material cost for those set pieces, but also just getting your 200 different crafting and processing to that point you will need), that people before the latest patch run full Radiant sets from SB , etc and others who were already struggling before the change to make mage gear happen cant do anything now
there is NO POINT in playing the game forme at this rate. Before the change it was near impossible to drop blomwarden oder Rosethorn gear, since it only drops from clerics and firestarters in SB specifically. We tried othe spot where these mobs exist but they dont drop it at all (even before the change). So you force everyone to get their pretty much best in slot (not counting drops from named mobs) gear into one space and then make the dropchance so incredibly low and the crafting so incredibly hard that its impossible to archive. If this stays as is i dont see a future lol

Instanced content is going to be kept to a minimum. It's predominantly an open-world focused game. The instanced PvE content that does exist will mostly be for narrative purposes, not gearing. They're not trying to compete with games like WoW or FF14 in the instanced PvE department.

Umm, it is an opinion. The Anvils are the "newest" zone that Intrepid has put out and are not as far along their development cadence as Riverlands. They will get more and more added to them and Intrepid has said the FTUE will be getting another big pass eventually. So it may feel basic to you atm, but it will be of similar complexity later most likely.

Cant post a discussion so I’m dropping this in here. I’m sorry but I feel very strongly that the drop rates absolutely need to be greatly increased at least for the pre-bis green and blue gear absolutely it was absurd for polar to hold a BIS monopoly, but this nerf will completely ruin this game I promise I leveled from 18-20 at SB easily spent over 12+ hours in game there pugging the over 2.5 mil xp needed from 18-20 not even including all the debt which would probably put it closer to 3 million.I did not see a single forsaken weapon drop or rosiarum armor not a single piece this is completely ridicoulous and unbalanced just to get green gear to get into Carphin or forge this level of grind is fucking insane and nobody is going to do that lol NOBODY. not to mention taking the durability and losing glint from deaths as a tank(btw whole other issue if I’m in a full group and me the tank am the only one to go down and the cleric rez me in fight and we recover why am I taking such a punishment on glint xp and repair gold sink it feels horrible I mean the tank should be the one dying first if we’re playing correctly ) but I mean how else do I get the gold needed to buy the set well Ik RMT 100% 60 bucks to skip the next 5 weeks of farming GREEN gear of course and once everybody realizes it the RMT will be the only way to really progress nobody is gonna sit there and mob farm for weeks for green equipment in a buggy alpha and I say all this because the potential of this game is so great this wasn’t a problem just a week ago so it can be solved but yea the drops in its current state will 100% kill this game. Fuppo has said he puts them under movement, and make sure to click "is this an exploit" to get it escalated to the right people.

Make sure you are logged into your account and you may see an "upgrade to Alpha 2 option" or it may require you to upgrade to the next package level (you only pay the difference, not the full price in that case). Hmmm, I am maybe confused by what you mean "access to debug" clarify a bit.

If you are talking about gaining levels and gear, that is usually done in PTR testing. If they want something specific tested without using the prod servers, they will place a NPC with a scroll that auto levels you and gear available. Since the PTR is usually wiped between those sessions when used, not like anyone keeps that progression.

Sunwrought armor is Fortitude heavy plate armor for tanks. Why in hell is the Heavy Back of Sunwrought giving magic bonus?
