• So the way that nodes spawn and despawn and can be destroyed; and the castles exist to exert pressure; and these world events pop up. It's a massive world and it's constantly changing. Those two things naturally combat the opportunity for mega guilds to claw control over a particular server.

Zergs are less effective in ashes because of the diminishing returns in most things especially if you have like most of the people aren't skilled. A geared and good player can absolutely wipe like 5 or more people before going down.

Definitely viable to be guildless or a small guild. Main benefit of having the mayor in your guild is the open line of communication, which most mayors are pretty actively communicating the nodes needs and even polling the nodes' players for their preferences

Alpha Two has begun! All players with Alpha Two access from a Kickstarter pledge, a Pre-Order package or giveaway can now join us for testing. Alpha Two access includes all phases.

Phase I
Weekend testing starting Friday (10am PST) and ending Sunday (10pm PST) has begin on October 25, 2024, and we plan to continue each following weekend.

Phase II
5+ Day testing will begin on December 20, 2024, and we plan to continue each week following that week.

Phase III
Starting May 1, 2025, we will be up 24/7, and our aim will be only to have small windows of downtime for game updates.

What are the systems in place to prevent pvp griefing ?

Coming from BDO there have been a lot of creative ways of killing people that circumvent the karma system, such as get people low and then Stun them to let the mob do the final hit.

Finally I understand if the player responds in any kind no negative karma will be given does this count if player runs into victims AoE on purpose.

What amount of time does the victim have to stop attacking would the initial AoE count as mutual engagement and so on and so forth ?

Do we have any FAQ that addresses these things, I know I sound like I expect the worst from the community but when it comes to this kind of stuff people can get .. really creative.

It's called corruption. Basically if a player kills a peaceful player then they become corrupted, red, and they have dampened hp,mana, higher XP loss on death and even drop equipped items on death. They need to farm a lot of mobs or die to get it removed. It also stacks up the more innocents they kill.

Greens are immune to cc from reds I believe, but maybe this is just the plan for later, not sure.

Not atm but that's something that I'd expect will be tweaked. The current way they're trying to mitigate that is by having your health show in segments to other players so you cant see their exact health but rather in segments of 25%

luckily I bought myself a GTX 1080 ti like 5 years ago and it's still going strong. Not gonna upgrade until RTX 6000 series, so im gonna use some liquid metal on it so it will be able to overclock more, to handle some intense graphics in some modern games

I've got a 1660 SUPER with as far as I can tell 2gb

Benchmark seems to put it higher than a 1070

from what i just checked those cards have betwen 4-6 gb vram

but u might have a 2gb card, i cud be wrong

u will need a new card if you want to play

I linked the 2 cheapest cards on best buy, for the VRAM you might want

Again that card has only 4-6 GB VRAM where as the GTX 1070 has 8 GB VRAM. While in theory your card is preforming better the game is REQUIRING that you have 8 GB of VRAM

That doesn't seem accurate since the minimum specs say "AMD Ryzen 5 2600", which is the exact chipset I have. That's a 4vram graphic's card. I don't know why they would list a card with 4gb vram as "minimum spec" if you need double. Does it run great? No. But it runs.

Where are you getting it from that it requires 8GB? I'm not exactly doubting it, but like

if you look at the https://ashesofcreation.wiki/System_requirements and it says the NVIDIA GTX 1070 or equivalent & NVIDIA RTX 3070 or equivalent , BOTH cards have 8 GB of VRAM so it became OBVIOUS to me but perhaps not obvious to everyone else
