You can be a journeyman in four things. You can be a master in three things; and you can be a grandmaster in two things. This is assuming, of course, that you've bought or won access to A2 at some point prior to the 25th.

As far as I'm aware the voyager pack did come with A2 access but a relatively reliable way to check that would be to have a look through your inventory on your account and see if Alpha 2 is anywhere in there at all (don't forget to scroll down). If it is, you're golden, if it isn't then you may need to double check what you purchased and submit a cs ticket for further assistance.

I wanna report a potential bug, i have won an alpha 2 key like 2 years ago during an extra life stream, ive then also additionaly bought the expeditionary pack to get beta access when it comes around. So right now i have the alpha 2 in my inventory, yet in the shop im given the option to buy the alpha 2 addon for the expeditionary pack, this feels like a bug / oversight

also makes me worried about how some things are configured access wise, are we gonna pull some sneaky thing where ONLY people with voyager packs get access on the 25th, and not everyone with the "Alpha 2" product in their inventory? As it seems like these upgrades are being offered based on what pack u have instead of what products u have (meaning i can see them granting accounts access based on pack tier, not based on product)

The intent is for all races to be equal so as to not enforce the concept of a meta choice. Intrepid wants player choice to be dictated by lore and cosmetic value to the player rather than mechanically advantage. The racial node appearances are also strictly cosmetic, only showing what the dominant race of that node is.

I also have left wow, I am done with the “meta” comp as well. The latest season players only see one healer in the whole game as viable in the mythic plus setting. That shouldn’t have happened, and reading and hearing about Ashes has breathed new hope for the mmorpg community. Very hopeful to not see one “spec” completely overwhelm other specs of the same role (tank, dps, or healer).

If you die in pvp you drop gathered items like wood/ore/herbs (or whatever gathered materials are) could you effectively be camped and robbed of your entire inventory of gathered items? do you only drop gathered stuff or do you drop weapons and armor, gold (or whatever currency) etc?

There are 3 "states" a player can be in. Non-combatant, combatant, corrupted

Non-combatant is the "default" state. In this state you'll drop the default number of gatherables and go into the default amount of XP debt when you die. This state only drops gatherables.

Combatants lose half of what a non-combatant loses as an incentive to flag up. This state only drops gatherables.

Corrupted players lose much more than the others, and is the only state which has the chance to drop gear when they die. The more corrupted you are, the higher chance you drop gear. You can't trade with other players when corrupt, you can't use storage, and guards will also attack you on sight

No state loses gold when you die. Yes you could be camped and your gatherables be yoinked

If you're being attacked by a combatant and fight back, then you will flag as a combatant.

Basically, you can choose to not fight back and force them to decide if they want the corruption or not. But you are incentivized to fight back, since you get lesser penalties if you die while being a combatant.

Hey all, I have a question that I have not found much of an answer yet. Will Ashes have “seasons” of content (example world of Warcraft mythic plus rotation, raids, pvp seasons). Also make sure you use your keys right away. I have heard multiple people with gifted keys try to use them that have reported they got stolen by others able to brute force the key codes.

When purchasing a pack in the shop, you don't get a "key". Access is automatically applied to your account in this case.
