hello everyone! my eclipse post is back, after two weeks, because now there's a partial solar eclipse!
unlike a lunar eclipse, solar eclipses are much more localized, and so i cant give specific times. i would recommend using stellarium or some eclipse website to find out when it happens in your location
generally it will be at its greatest at around <t:1743245280:t>, but this doesn't mean greatest in your area, it just means the time when its greatest in the area where its greatest
this one is a partial solar eclipse, and not a total solar eclipse, so the moon will only pass in front of a portion of the suns disk, and it will look like someone took a bite out of the sun

where am i able to view it? parts of northeastern us where its still daytime around the time the eclipse is happening, eastern canada, greenland, almost all of western europe, northwest africa, and northwestern russia
HOW do i view it? you can buy eclipse glasses or make a simple projector for the sun by punching a pinhole into a piece of cardboard, and then letting the shadow of that cardboard cast onto a white surface (making sure the suns light goes through the pinhole)
