Yea, but still the acceleration bonus is incredible for bosses and things that require fast rising speed over the perks that the terraspark boots provide. 4 mph and some other things dont change my mind on how useful the near 50 percent increase to vertical acceleration

For armor use the pwn hammer to smash three evil alters in your world to spawn in the hard mode ores and then get enough paladium/cobalt to make it's pickaxe (12 bars) Than do the same for mithril/orichalcum then get Titanium/Adamantine armor(Melee/Ranger/mage) If you are summoner get spidder/forbiden armor

Fishing in ice biomes should yield you some crates that are basically those ice chests. You should be able to get one. It'll take some time though. I recommend getting some Crate and Fishing potions. Maybe even calming potions to reduce enemy spawn rate
