not if you're cascading them. If the dart hits the other side in 1sec, the next one activates in 1 sec, and the next, and so on.

to craft the Star cannon you need A minishark, 20 meteorite bars, and 5 fallen stars

make sure to have more stars since that is the ammunition needed to fire the star cannon

as for beenades they can be crafted easily with grenades and bee wax from the queen bee

its important to build a bridge across hell and throw in some campfires and heart lanterns along the way
