ways to make finding them easier:
-Use Lifeform Analyzer to see if any are nearby
-Use Hunter potion to highlight them green
-Use invisibility Potion so they don't disappear cause they can't see you

if you don't have any invisibility potions, run really fast at them swinging your bug net

A nice way to farm them is set up an artificial underground mushroom biome with long thin 1 wide rows of mushroom grass and all along the outside. then have a space in the middle where they can all drop down to a pit.

I figured a different way to cheese pirates, sitting in a "docking tower" and use whips on the flying dutchman and turrets/summons on the pirates outside
