Drain the water off into other caves as you're digging. Or get a gills potion & take it all the way to hell.
Getting back up, you can either use a rope down its entire length, or use a recall potion/magic mirror.

It is quite easy especially if you're on steam : go to the workshop and download an All Item World (Builder's Workshop is a classic all item world for example).

Then when in game you click on Workshop

Dryad uses an area of effect spell, not really sure what it helps with since I don't trust npcs to fight bosses, one or 2 solid hits and they're gone

The rest probably uses their weapons, but they have cooldowns, so it doubles down on not relying on them for this sorta thing

That's how I learned to play with a controller after I ditched touchscreen on mobile

Are you using an asphalt bridge? If so, you can swap terraspark out

Knockback resistance is essential in mastermode, sometimes a single hit may get you stun locked and comboed to death

But frozen shield is a far better choice over ankh, it has a better defense score and -25% dmg taken when under 50% hp (this paired with lifeforce potion makes the effect trigger when under 300hp rather than 250hp)

Fishron or betsy wings are better than hoverboard, and even more if paired with soaring insignia

You can probably swap out master ninja gear as well in this case, it all depends on how well you can dash your way out of harm

About reforges, against mobs it's okay to go for "kill them before they kill you" and go full on menacing, but on bosses, specially in harder difficulties, you'll want speed

Not saying you should only go for speed and forget about everything else, but you have to at least be fast enough to avoid damage consistently

i never fought that boss yet but these are the bosses i defeated on ftw infernum

king slime, eye of cuthluhu, giant clam, squirl boss, eow, and crabulon

not that hard but i want a buddy to play with
