tldr there's a file in the terraria folder which runs it as a server, and then you also have to do something called port forwarding to allow the other players to connect to your ip

Connection at least for me (with 4 other players) has been completely acceptable with no noticeable issues, I don't even wire my device to the router or have a really good internet speed, granted a big factor is that I am in the same country as all my friends connecting

if it's about connecting a teleporter to multiple destinations that's totally possible

you just gotta make sure wires of the same colour doesn't touch

and since there's 4 colours of wires it's easy to hook up up to 8 destinations
