when are you fighting him

he is pretty tough but you can die and respawn and keep fighting him, you have to stay close to hurt him and practice dodging, i reccomend after skeletron

pair max crit sniper rifle with venom bullets and you can burn through your targets hp

I was yet again running a dodge build and I was in a private server with me buddies

It was on expert mode so I used a hardcore character for the extra slot

I placed a bunch of cluster rocket 1's in my friends house

After a while

I checked my friends house to see if he went there

All of the cluster rocket 1's blew up

My dodge build does not like delayed multi hit attacks

And since I used a proximity mine launcher to place those things

If you’re comfortable with drinking mana potions manually, you don’t really need the mana cloak so you could replace it with more damage/ survivability (but this is only for minimaxing, it’s more than fine to use the cloak because it makes general gameplay so much easier)

And empress wings are better than duke when you have infinite flight

If you had Betsy wings, you could use those over empress and get rid of the master ninja gear to free up some space

The only reason it works with the demon scythe is because pre hm mana potions are bad + the weapon consumes mana very quickly leading to an effectively 42.5% damage reduction (it’s better to use a mana regen setup (with arcane modifiers) in this situation in order to avoid the absurdly high mana cost)

Once you reach hardmode, mana potions get better leading to about a ~10% dps loss - mana regen however doesn’t improve so the gap only gets wider from there

I’ve tested it before:

Got 3 statues, gave them the hp + defence of duke to represent each phase + increased the hit box size so that weapons cannot miss and dandelion ai so that the enemies could not move, I timed pot vs mana regen setups and potions still better

I can get through phase 1 of daytime eol on mount alone for the most part, but once it gets to phase 2 I have to switch between mount and wings a bunch because vertical movement is fucked
