wiki said that queen bee doesnt get enraged on the jungle surface (or in other words "everywhere except the jungle")

so i spent the first couple of tries trying to kill her on the surface, didnt go well, i get upset and decide to give myself a stack of qb spawns so i dont have to craft more, as well as a handful of stars for the star cannon

Sounds like you're not dealing enough damage, and are reaching daytime before end of fight. Skeletron (default, not prime I assume) doesn't move fast enough to outpace the player in those circumstances.

Sanguine is fine but generally not worth effort to get anymore + is outcompeted by blade, and optic staff probably can be a better option, but iirc the spazzes interfere with their iframes.
Blade is consistent and hits often, and doesn't have issues that optic has with getting stuck on tiles or whatever.

I'd use the Nights Edge and buy a Minishark from the Arms Dealer. Run meteor shot for the penetration and just aim for the eyes, when the hungry come nights edge them. To be safe, throw on an ironskin potion, regen potion and swiftness potion.

I like building, but after a while it gets boring
