Depends. Most prefer the Crimson for Ichor and Vampire Knives, but both evil biomes have great items nowadays. All classes except Summoner benefit from both evil biomes to at least some extent. The only things Summoner receives from the world evils are Flasks and Flesh Knuckles/Putrid Scent, so they want to go for Crimson for Ichor Flasks and Berserker's Glove.

Do 30+ fishing quests to get the fishing armor, some fishing accessories, and the best fishing rod. Then with potions you can fish up a ton of stuff. Especially in the early morning and evening, those times bost fishing power a ton. You can easily get 200-300 fishing power for faster rare fish and crates

Besides the biome chests in the dungeon you can get anything from both evils on any world once in hard mode. Just need to put the dryad in a graveyard to buy the seeds. But personally I love the crimson more, the expert item is a bit better overall and it's a lot easier to cross crimson early on and get down into them early than corruption.
