This is because they're all handled through the player and not through the item itself

Same page also very specifically and directly mentions, and I quote...

Loadouts can be used to rapidly equip armor/accessories that are only needed for a short amount of time.

• One can switch to a loadout with high-defense armor and accessories (e.g. Worm Scarf or accessories with the modifier Warding) right before getting hit for an immediate damage reduction, before switching back to offensive items.

I'd say also true, but I kind of liked the feeling of timing uses for weapons like venus magnum. But everyone can do that now, so there's no charm to it or anything, it's just free fire rate.

its an important part of the design of a weapon, for slow firing weapons it is usually better to have autofire off for more precision, venus magnum was the only weapon that really suffered from lack of autofire before, but now it has it, as far as general balance goes lots of weapon use autofire or lack thereof to compare to other weapons, higher tier gem staves have autofire, lower ones dont, undertaker has autofire, musket doesnt

Mythical/Ruthless

Latter has more damage but you see the -knockback stat on your summon weapon. Since the rest of the item stats don't really do anything once the summon is out, it's technically better to prioritise damage.

The Cultist? Yeah, he has a pretty simple pattern and I would certainly consider him easier than the Moon Lord, even on higher difficulties. He stays in place when attacking and cycles between a few rather simple projectile attacks before splitting apart into easily distinguishable clones.

He is immune to all debuffs, yes, but he still has rather low health and dodging his barrage of attacks isn't anything noteworthy.

The Meowmere has the highest base damage in the game, at 200, while the Zenith, Terrarian and Star Wrath have 190. That doesn't stop them from having higher DPS, however.

the best mage setup is last prism and nebula armor, for range it's sdmg and vortex armor, for summoner it's kaleidoscope + terraprisma + lunar portal staff and stardust armor, and for melee it's zenith and solar flare armor

zenith is by far the best weapon in the game, so by that logic you could argue solar flare is the "best" armor. But really, each armor gives an equal boost to its class, zenith's base value is just so much higher than every other weapon type.

A zenith with wood armor will probably out damage a sdmg + vortex armor

You can save the game before breaking your third altar, turn off Autosave, break the Altar and force reset the game if you get Titanium. You can also throw Titanium Ore into Shimmer to get Adamantite instead.
