And you'll have much more mobility if you use the bundle of balloons with amphibian boots than you will using the terraspark boots

You will be able to go much higher and faster that way

Not as much utility, but mobility is far better in general

The amphibian boots also greatly improved wing speed and height

Calamity has a classic, expert, master, malice, revengeance, and death difficulty. On classic, it's not much harder than vanilla, and adds a crap ton of new gear and even adds post-moon lord progression.

Depending on your point of progression, you may have Asphalt available. Build an Asphalt bridge above the Ocean if you do, with platforms spaced far apart above it. Actually, my Megashark does like 50 damage, and it has an insane fire rate, and it only consumes like 40% of the ammo it fires, and with chloro rounds you don't even need to aim it. Megashark is a really good weapon that continues seeing heavy use until you tackle the vortext pillar and make the new vortex weapons. I have, again, even killed moon lord with it, because it's a good gun.

If you aren't capable of using it for decent progression, you're the one that's bad, not the gun. You'd have to be pretty bad, too, for someone with as little experience as me to show you up like that.

Did I also mention that it has a crit rate of like 70%?

Yeah. In tight corridors, you can just hit everything with your two Yoyos and the Counterweight once you have the Bag, while still being able to set a trap of sorts for enemies to walk into your yoyo behind Walls.

Using Spectre armor gives you a lot of damage and mana, but it also makes you into a glass cannon. Turtle Armor is great for playing mages, unless you're playing with friends. If you have friends with you, Spectre Armor is a go to, because, iirc, it reduces enemy aggro towards you and redirects it towards the others in your party.

Turtle Armor's high defense and the massive thorns it deals makes it a pretty good choice for any class when soloing.

Any enemy that hits you will take twice the damage back, calculated before damage reductions.

As such, most early game enemies will hit you once and instantly die, plus a lot of later game enemies will die pretty quickly just from touching you.

I'm just saying, as a mage in single player, Turtle Armor is a great choice. If you want to go full glass cannon, that's up to you, but get ready to have super low defense and die from only two or three hits against bosses.

Shadowflame bow is a pretty good bow, but yeah, megashark with chorpophyte bullets, or Venus Magnum if you've killed Plantera, with choloro bullets would be your best choice.

Yeah, kill the green fire dude first, he's the most dangerous.

Plus, you can just run in one direction to dodge Ret, but Spaz fires at ground level so you have to keep jumping over his projectiles.

And Cursed Flame debuff is awful.
