The wide spread will hit 3 arrows if you're good with aiming. If you really wanna use bow Phantasm is king. The sheer amount of arrows before you hit is around the same as the full 5 spread, but you get a more narrow aim, and all the arrows you hit will hit again. So it's just better if you wanna do bow and you feel confident in your aim

If you are really good at the game Phantasm is the way to go for fighting ML first time. But with Vortex Beater and Chlorophyte Bullets you can stay much farther away which will help you dodge and you will hit almost every shot
