Anyway so when lighting builds I thought colored torches were the only way to, well, have colored lighting

or dimmer/brighter lighting, etc

And at least on the wiki there's documentation of the color each torch produces

So even though furniture light sources can look super cool, they always throw off the lighting -- i thought they all defaulted to basic-torch-light

turns out: no
It's a total gamble what color a furniture set's lighting will be, with most being either basic torch, or slightly yellowed
Something I would not have ever found out if I didn't literally build one of every lamp and place them down in comparison
