enter of my world is Snow, with a small amount of forest before Desert on the left and Jungle on the right. Most game so far has been in Snow/Ice. Reached Corruption through the top, lost to Eater twice, explored surface some (made a mini-base inside an airborne Granite Cave, since I noticed it was no biome at all, added some mushroom to it to make a surface (Mushroom) pylon), found a Crimson trench via surface and defeated all the creepers before dying to the brain's second phase [It reversed gravity and I think it was actually impossible to tell the copies apart?] (Jungle Armour, Demon Scythe, Flinx Staff), BUT got enough Tissue samples from the creepers to make both a Pickaxe and Obsidian Armour, next up is Snapthorn (Whip) from Jungle, then Molten Pickaxe, suppose.

Water candles and/or Battle Potion increase normal spawns. Slime statue hooked to a timer can make artificial spawns. You can spend 20 gel and a crown (5 gold or platinum bars and a ruby) at a Demon Altar/Crimson Altar to make a Slimy Crown to summon King Slime, who will drop much more than the 20 spent to summon him. Statue is the best option if you are post Skeletron and have one, otherwise, yea those are some options.
