You can see that. Doesn't mean it's incorrect to play expert on first playthrough though

It's not incorrect to play it as a first mode, but to say that should be the default is just wrong, expert is based on the assumption that you already know the basics of what you're supposed to do and how to progress, which of course a new player does not

The process is the exact same though. You look at wiki, you learn, but it's not training wheels. Perfectly normal to struggle on a first playthrough and all that but you just learn it and you may as well just learn it on expert mode where the true ais are unlocked

Just wanted to say I reevaluated my opinion and clinger staff definitely is good. Knockback great at keeping stuff at bay. I did a damage test on duke with both lifedrain and clinger, I beat duke using only lifedrain in roughly 7:55mins and duke using only clinger staff in 14:50 minutes. On an expert world (doing a chill hardcore with some people). Honestly, considering clinger staff is a support weapon you can feasibly kill duke with it pre mech
