actually last i heard master mode was classic with bloated stats. expert has additional boss ai attack patterns, but master mode is supposedly supposed to update with things to make it more difficult.
comparatively, it didn't add much new things, but it did at least allow expert mode drops. there is exclusive master mode drops, but it's pretty much just all pets.
