Those gray outlines are from Smart Cursor highlighting interactable objects. Unfortunately, there’s no setting to completely remove the outlines while keeping Smart Cursor always on. However, you do have a couple of workarounds:

Best workaround (recommended)

Change Smart Cursor to “Hold” instead of “Toggle”
• Go to Settings → Controls
• Set Smart Cursor Mode to Hold
• Now the gray outlines only appear while you’re holding the Smart Cursor key, not all the time

Other things you can try
• Settings → Interface
• Turn off Placement Preview (reduces some visual clutter, but won’t remove all outlines)
• Avoid holding tools that trigger Smart Cursor (like blocks or furniture)

Bottom line
• ❌ You cannot fully disable the gray outlines while Smart Cursor is permanently on
• ✅ You can minimize them by using Hold mode, which most players use for this reason

You need to try and find a chest containing a mirror.

And you need to build npc housing....preferably away from spawn(this makes a few things easier later)
