Fishing in the underground jungle u can get variegated lardfish which make a summoning potion (check guide) that lets u have one more summon while its active

There’s a bewitching table in the dungeon that boosts ur summon numbers by one until u die or exit the world

Pygmy necklace sold by witch doctor who spawns after u kill queen bee

Alright so I’m doing a Mediumcore Expert Mode prehardmode gear only and no teleportation potions/no magic mirror nor weight/gravity affecting positions and no life crystals nor mana stars permanent upgrades (except the shimmer buff ones) challenge

But on top of it I’m also doing a part where I want to give myself a sense of progression but also balance so no normal Starcannon until hardmode and no Nights Edge at all (or maybe I’ll pretend I need a broken hero sword for the crafting recipe, I don’t know but let me know what you think on that idea), and no building arenas for bosses (but destroying/mining maybe is fine?) until hardmode and no obvious visual jump improvement or visual speed improvement accessories/gear (so like anklet and stuff is fine but not something like Hermes boots or the many cloud in a bottles) until hardmode outside the trash ones like step stools and umbrellas. but potions are fine. And grappling hooks, spiked boots, and similar stuff are fine too. Also shimmer upgrades on the heart crystals and other stuff is fine even if the non versions to use as permanent buffs is not fine.

An abigal's flower can take time to spawn in, I'd recommend getting ores or other loot during this time, eventually one should spawn next to a gravestone, regardless if you are near it (similarly to how corruption/crimson spreads without you needing to be near it!)

I'd recommend the slime whip for early summoner, if you are post brain/eater, I'd recommend the meteor based whip, there is also the corruption specific one (made from demonite, I am unsure if there is a crimson variant)

Yes, though the slime king's best drop for summoners the oh so rare slime staff (it is ridiculously rare). I'd recommend getting a flinx fur coat from flinxes, uses flinx fur as well, you can check with the guide for the recepies
