in most main crash bandicoot games, it causes crash to take one hit, which kills him unless he has an aku aku mask, in which he'd lose it (or it'd revert to normal if he has a gold mask)

however in crash twinsanity, nitros will instakill the player, even with a mask

additionally, gravitated nitro crates bounce up randomly, making them a bit difficult to jump over
