Java code is spaghetti. It’s optimized in certain areas because players optimized it, not because it’s better.
Bedrock certainly has its issues and I’m not denying that, but on average, a person will be able to run bedrock Better than Java because pretty much all you need is a GPU.
Also some of the issues that you guys are complaining about are like, in both version of the game lol
And some of it is even updated - like the complaints about censors/moderation in the game. Chat moderation was made a while ago, and people are just now starting to talk about it because it wasn’t really on the radar much before it got added to Java. Or, rather more so, it was forgotten about. And soon it will be forgotten about on Java too- the only thing holding it back is the open toxic servers, which, even if they’re a part of Minecraft’s history (which I agree with), also expose people to horrible things
I don’t agree with some stuff Minecraft does in general, rather than bedrock selectively. But it doesn’t discount that the game has been thriving and updating for free (even if IMO the community is pinned together with voting lol)

Also, as far as the marketplace goes, looking at it on the surface - the idea is great. It offers payment to people who work hours upon hours, sometimes weeks, for the work they do
This isn’t new to bedrock though. Java did this too, people just didn’t know much about it because people are used to clicking through ads and other cringe. People have charged for Java maps before though - it’s just very hard (unless you have another job or are a adolescent), to spend hours upon hours of work on something and hand it out for free lol
It also offers mods and such (in a new format, add ons) to console players. Which, again, I don’t fully like the idea of - there’s some issues with it. It’s gotten better over the years, but some devs just put out absolute trash maps and content because Mojang is so disassociated with the quality management, it’s nearly nonexistent. The only thing is the map has to “function”, and even that doesn’t necessarily apply sometimes 😅
If you sift through the trash (which is unfortunately inflating) you can find very hard at work people with good priced stuff that’s worthwhile - happy to name specific ones even if you just wanna YouTube it for fun
