Well yeah obv Re-Logic is very responsive; I just never saw specifically tile cropping to happen. I definitely felt furniture stacking (e.g dynasty tables) would be very possible to bring back with updated placement logic for furniture, but never quite tile cropping

But this hopefully means tile cropped stuff will be less finnicky, so maybe the days of "oops I placed a block nearby, everything broke" are over

yes, my own method, if you place platforms in a checkered pattern, place on skip the next, you can walk up and down them by holding up or down and the direction you want to go, every inch is explorable as if it was actually top down and i use treacherous walls so mobs still spawn. i would kinda personally do (bottom to top) boreal, brick, 2-3 ebonwood, then some more walls like gray wallapaper or something more colorful

from never playing stardew valley im kinda seeing a bit of that in the build

I'd make the ceiling not mud, or at the very least intergrate more leaf/grass esq walls near the ceiling

Same for the floor, more vegetation if you want to keep it grassy, consider using the rubblemaker
