The light part of the tower is where the light hits which is left of actual point of view, the light no longer directly hits the rest, wall included, the wall would hold a shadow akin to the dark colour where the cylinder stands slightly forward but the whole wall would be midtone instead of light

Depending on how behind you make the wall it might be full shadow too like in this image

Left tower in here is a good example, it gets hit with the light enough to be lighter in a spot but otherwise the wall and the tower both do not hold such brightness
